Sweeties

Well, by reading my blog, you should know by now that the guys in my life take up a lot of space in my mind! lol! So here's list of all the ones that have held the "sweetie" status, and a little about each one. Chronologically organized, of course :)

Mike - The one, the only, the very first boyfriend I ever had.. I met Mike at summer camp, and I had a crush on him for a whole year until we went together again the next year! We were really good friends after that summer, and then it kinda went up from there. I asked him out in Feb. '99 ( I think... I was 14, I know that much.) The only problem was that he lives in Calgary, and well, I'm stuck here in Sk. So, for TEN WHOLE MONTHS we did the long distance thing! It was unreal! We were thisclose though, and he still knows me so well it scares me. Anyway, it kind of ended because we couldn't find anything to keep the conversation going anymore. I mean, you talk to someone for an hour every night for ten months on the phone, and you eventually get those awkward silences for the better part of the time. So we called it quits, and we're really good friends :) Check out this in the archives for more info.
Steve - Ooo.... this one I not so proud of. He was a total smoothie, and a player, and I got strung along! I was young and dumb, young and dumb, I tells ya! He was 17, and I was 15. Well, I got set up with Steve by two of my friends, and I really liked him, so we started going out. It had been about two months, and then I had to go on band tour, thinking he could be trusted by himself back home. Well, two weeks after I got back, I found out that he had cheated on me with one of the girls who had set us up to begin with!!! Needless to say, I kicked his ass to the curb faster than you can say shithead >:( I don't see Steve anymore, but I hear about him every now and then. I heard he got beat up really bad a while ago, actually. Ha, not much sympathy here! Details here.
Grant - Grant is one of those really sweet Imperial guys that I love to hang out with sooo much! I dated Grant for about two months when I was 15 ( and still kind of on the rebound from Steve. That one really hurt.) He's a really quiet guy, and it was kind of a weird relationship in that we didn't talk a whole lot, but we were always going out and hangin' with people. Eventually, we both got too busy with our summer stuff, and we hardly saw each other anymore. So we called that one quits too, and now we just go out and party together when he comes down for the weekend from university in the city, lol! He's a great guy.
Cody - Be prepared to read a lot on this one. By far, this was the deepest, heaviest, most serious relationship I have EVER been in. It's probably why I'm sort of cutting loose now. Cody is a very intense person, and when you get into his life, and realize what he's been through (his mom died very slowly when he was 14) you can't help but become deeply attached to him. As well, he's such a caring individual who would go to the ends of the earth to make you smile, or just put you in a better mood. Of all my boyfriends, I've said the big L word to Cody and Mike. I think Cody was the one I really meant it to. We dated for a little over six months. But, with a serious, loving relationship, comes serious, nasty fights. We had a few too many of those, and he always thought that I didn't care what he thought about anything, and that his feelings were not important to me at all. I think he's just such a giving person who cares so much about others that he feels left out if everyone else isn't so devoted and concerned as he is. But we couldn't work that out, and we ended it about three months ago. He was tough to get over, but my friends have really helped me with that. When I was with Cody, he never wanted to go out. He doesn't drink (which is cool, I admire that) but he also didn't want to go watch his friends drink and make idiots of themselves. I, on the other hand am all for that, because I know how much fun it is, as long as you don't get stupid, or overdo it. I really missed going out on weekends and seeing all my friends, because he always wanted to stay at home instead of going out. So I really realized with him how important my friends are to me, and that you should never give them up for a guy, because guys come and go, even if they are pivotal in your life.
Jeff - Ahh, the infamous Mr. Coulter. Jeff was my fun for the first part of this summer. It was a great relationship. You know, we could use each other for fun whenever we wanted, lol! I hardly ever talked to him during the week, but as soon as he was down on the weekends, it was like, "Hey, whatcha doin?" "Nuthin, wanna come out to the cabin?" "Well who's there?" "No one." "Ok, I'll just be a few minutes!" heheh... Just one of those wonderful, no-commitment relationships that are great when you just break up with someone. Honestly, I don't think we ever were officially dating, although he asked me out twice. There just wasn't the effort there that has to come with a relationship. I haven't heard from Jeff in like, three weeks at the current time. He was a lot of fun to hang around with though, and he's now playing hockey in Vancouver for the Giants.
Vaughn - Wow... never thought I would be adding Vaughnald to my list of sweeties! We dated for about a month and a half last summer, but it was ill fated. We were both too busy once school started, and well... he still had a thing for his ex girlfriend. So we went on "a break" at first, and then we both started seeing other people (he went back to his ex, surprise, surprise) and now we're back to bein' buds again, lol! It was a bit awkward at first, cuz now we know what the other one looks like naked, but it's actually almost back to the point we were at before we started dating, which is cool!
