Interpretation of Koran

A. Momin

Surah 1: Al Fateha

1: 1-2 – Reflecting, on the harmonious labors in the universe, it becomes evident that all within are continuously receiving means to nurture, unearned, and are, thereby, allowed to achieve their full potential. This amazing system – the System of Rabubiyat begets involuntary appreciation from all clear-sighted people who clearly say, “O Our Nurisher! You have created nothing in this universe without a purpose, or for ill use.” These beings with sincerity and confidence are indeed busy in Hamd of Allah (by perfectly following Allah’s orders).

1: 3 – To accomplishment Allah’s Order, requires opposition of the oppressive forces which delay development of His creations. This (opposition of oppressive forces) would result in giving birth to a system (for a human community) in which no one would be subservient to another. In this system, all matters will be decided in agreement with the Divine Code, and (whatever course it may be) it is this system which eventually will supersede all man-made system.

1: 4 – This system will be realized by those who desire to, and practically prove, “We do not accept or acknowledge any authority but that of Allah, neither do look for any alliance with a system which disregards Divine Code.”

1: 5-7 – When these (Momenin) begin their life’s journey, their desires and ardent wishes appear in hearts saying,

“O Allah! Guide us to the course following which we can reach our destination without fear and danger. The course which the blessed nations followed thus achieving prosperity, happiness and eminence amongst their contemporaries.

As long as these nations followed the course decreed by You, they were successful and happy. But when they deviated from this course they lost Your blessings and suffered distress, disgrace and ignominy. That point on all their efforts and actions were futile and as the right course had become obscured from them they were entangled in speculation.

O Allah! We call on to You to enable us to follow the course prescribed by You so that our end is not like those who lost the way thus destroying themselves. We are acquainted with the fact that no one can show the right course to a people who turn away from Your Guidance. On the same hand we also know that the right course is discovered only by those who strive to find it. Therefore grant us the strength for that search.”
