Thomas visits Victoria, face to face.

The sun peeping through the blinds awakened Austin. He groaned. He felt as if he hadn't gotten a minute of sleep last night. His eyes caught the woman sleeping beside him. Oh God... he hadn't...
Mia slowly opened her eyes. She saw Austin looking at her. "Hi baby..." She said gently as her face lit up.
He sat up and buried his face in his hands. Dammit. He ran his fingers through his bedridden hair and climbed out of his bed.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"I can read you like an open book Austin. What's wrong?"
"I said nothing okay?" He snapped.
"Fine. I was just asking a question."
"I'm... sorry."
"It's okay..." She chuckled as she noticed all of their clothes spread in disarray on the floor. "Can you hand me my skirt please?"
He picked it up and tossed it at her. "Mia..."
She shimmed into her skirt. "Shirt please."
He repeated his previous motion. "We need to--"
"All right, all dressed." She hopped out of bed. "Well then."
"I don't know how else to say it Mia, but--"
"How about I make us some breakfast? Breakfast food is my specialty."
"No." He was getting annoyed at her for continuing to cut him off.
"No? Not hungry? You need to eat though... you should be starving after that work out last night." She joked as she play punched him in the stomach.
"Mia. Listen. I don't know how else to say it but you need to leave."
"Do what?"
"I hate to sound rude but please Mia just leave. I need sometime to think..."
She looked up at him with a concerned expression. "O-Okay..." She mumbled as she grabbed her purse. "I guess I'll see you later..."
"Yeah... bye."
She nodded and closed the door.
"Of all the dumb things to do Austin..." He said to himself.

Kyle woke up to the buzzing sound of his alarm clock. It was ten in the morning. He had no idea why he even bothered to set the alarm clock. It wasn't like he had anywhere to be. He sat up and glanced around the gloomy, messy room. His eyes caught a picture of him and April at a ski lodge, both were gleaming with happiness. Why did he ruin such a wonderful thing? He still was so angry with himself for falling for Claire's games. But after their last encounter he had made up his mind, no Claire, ever. Not that it really mattered anymore he had already lost the woman he loved because of her.
He walked into the kitchen and poured a tall glass of water. Today was the day that happens in all failed relationships, the day to pack up the other person's stuff and give it back. He had picked up a few boxes from the liquor store last night where he had purchased a bottle of rum to try and drink away his sorrows, again. The boxes sat on the living room floor, empty. He shrugged and walked towards them. "Damn..."

Faye sat on the couch, her sister and niece beside her.
"Darling I really wish you would reconsider."
"Phyllis. No more discussion. I'm going home. I've had enough excitement for one visit thank you very much."
"Aunt Faye..."
"Don't Aunt Faye me Victoria. I'm going to take the next flight out of this damned town and if all of you were smart you'd do the same."
"Faye... I hate to say it but what happened could happen anywhere. It's sad but true. It's not the sixties anymore. You can't just leave your door unlocked and know no one will break in."
"You two listen to me. I am going home." She stated firmly.
Victoria sighed. Maybe her aunt was right... the safest thing to do was get out of this town. Maybe she should go with her aunt... and never return to this god-forsaken town again. Just runaway from it all...

Laurie rubbed her eyes... why was someone knocking this early in the morning? She opened the door slightly. "Isn't it a little early Mia?"
Once again Mia brushed past Laurie and entered her dorm room.
"Do you have a problem with waiting to be let in or something? I mean it's common curtsey to wait to be invited in to a person's living space." She curiously looked at Mia, "what are you so happy about it?"
"Remember yesterday when I told you two could play at your little game?"
"Yes..." She responded not caring at all what Mia had to say. She just wanted to get this over and get her out.
"Well... I just left from spending the night... with Austin."

Sarah walked out of the hospital board's meeting room. Dressed in a long-sleeve suit coat and matching suit pants. The suit coat was unbuttoned exposing a camouflage tank top. Meeting with those old hags was total hell.
"Have a nice day Miss Robinson." The secretary called out to her.
"Yeah... you too."
She turned down the hallway and headed towards the elevator. She punched the elevator down button and drummed her fingers up against the wall. "Come on... come on..." She muttered.
The ding of the elevator sounded and the doors opened. "What the hell are you doing here?" She asked to the woman in the elevator.

Thomas snapped a few polaroids of the badly beaten up Nicholas. Welts covered his face. He had really worked one over him Thomas proudly thought. These pictures would be perfect for his delivery. He put the pictures in a package with Phyllis Slater written on black ink on the front. He took one last look at his victim before closing the door. Everything was going just as planned…

Ethan paid the taxi man and walked up the gravel driveway. He took in a deep breath. He couldn't believe he was nervous. He stepped up on the creaky steps and opened the screen door, only hanging on by one hinge. He entered a tiny, smelly porch with a washer and dryer. "Well… things haven't changed a bit…" He muttered, someone yelling from inside the house interrupted his statement.
"Maria! Go see who's at the door. If it's that damned Mike you tell him I said to go the hell away. I didn't steal any computer!"
Ethan began to turn away. Maybe this wasn't a good idea. It had been two years. Before he could turn around the door opened.
"My God… Ethan is that you?"

Faye stood in front of the terminal waiting for her row to be called on the airplane. "I know this is hurting you two but I have to go home. If either one of you were in my position you would get the hell out of here too."
That was the first time she ever heard her aunt swear. A single tear rolled down her cheek. "I'll miss you Faye…" She hugged her aunt.
Faye patted her niece on the back. "I'll miss you too."
She let go of her grip and stepped back giving her mother time for her goodbye.
Phyllis touched Faye's cheek. "Darling I really wish you would stay. We never see each other anymore. But you've made your decision and I understand." She removed her hand and kissed her on the cheek. "I love you Faye…"
"I love you too."
The woman calling out the open rows announced Faye's row. "Well… I better go."
Victoria wiped her tear. "Faye…" She turned around and walked towards a seat. Not wanting to expose her vulnerability.
"Call me when you get home."
"I will." She nodded and walked in the terminal.
Phyllis caught one last glance of her older sister and approached her daughter. "Darling…" She sat down beside her and wrapped her arms around her. "There, there…" Victoria rarely showed her feelings like this. "Hey now. We have each other and that's all that matters…"

Laurie touched her right temple. "You've got to be kidding me."
"Oh no I'm not. We had sex and it was fantastic."
"Oh my God…" She muttered.
"I suppose you'll want me to spare the details."
"No… it can't be, it just can't be." She pushed past Mia and walked down the hallway and through the exit doors. "Oh my God… No…" She was in complete shock. "Austin would never do that…" Or would he? "No… Dammit… no."

"Sarah…?"
"What the hell are you doing here?"
Elizabeth walked out of the elevator and stood face to face with Sarah. "Don't you watch television?"
"No."
She stood proudly. "I'm living here. I'm the new assistant district attorney."
"Oh hell… there goes this town."
"Well I see that charming little attitude of yours hasn't changed a bit."
"I never forgot what you did. Putting an innocent man behind bars. I get sick just looking at you." She punched the down button and got into the elevator. "Go to hell Elizabeth." The doors close before Elizabeth could respond.

"Yeah… Yeah it is."
She ran at Ethan and embraced him. "I can't believe it's you. I've missed you so much."
"I've missed you too. I tried to call but…"
"The line was disconnected?" She let go of Ethan and stepped back.
"Exactly."
"Yeah dad keeps forgetting to pay the phone bill. I'm so happy to see you. It's been so long."
"It really has. I was actually a little nervous…"
"Why?"
"I don't know…"
Maria's dad stood in the doorway. "How many times have I told you not to leave the door open? You're letting all the damned air out. I can't afford to keep the inside and outside cool." He noticed the young man standing in front of Maria. "Hey Ethan." He said as he slammed the door.
She nervously laughed in embarrassment. "So… you want to go for a walk or something? I really need to get out the house"
"Sure."
"Okay." She smiled at him as she opened the door. "Hey dad I'm going to go for a walk with Ethan."
"All right. Don't talk to any Mexicans." She closed the door, her face turned red. "Dad's gotten a little prejudice these days… Sorry."
"It's fine." The two friends walked off of the porch strolled down the sidewalk.
Maria put her arm around Ethan. "I'm glad you came back home."

Kyle sealed the box and walked out the door. He took a long, deep breath and continued down the long porch leading towards April's townhouse.
April held the box in her hand and walked down the porch to drop it off at Kyle's. "Man I don't want to do this…"
Kyle turned left and bumped into his former girlfriend. "Uh… hi."
"Hi…" She said softly.
"I, um… I'm sure you want some of this stuff back." He sat the box on the railing as April handed him the box she had packed up.
She picked up the box from the railing trying to fight back the tears. "T-Thanks…"
There was an awkward moment of silence before Kyle broke it. "So I guess this means we're really over…"
She just nodded. Someone once told her that it was just best not to say much after a break up to the former partner. All she wanted to do was toss the box aside, jump into Kyle's arms and make mad love to him. But she had to be strong she saw what happened to her mother and refused to let it happen to her. "I… um. I have to get up early for work tomorrow."
"O-Okay…"
"I'll--"
"Yeah."
She turned back around and walked into her condo. The tears she was fighting back began flowing down her face. Thank God Kyle couldn't see her this way.

Noah opened a drawer and pulled out his pajamas. As he unfolded them a real estate book fell to the ground. "Huh?" He picked it up and opened it. Various houses were circled in red. He never did give Simone an answer about moving out. He knew how badly she wanted to move out. Maybe now was the best time since his cousin had moved in things would start getting really dramatic and Simone and him didn't need that. He sat on the bed and thumbed through the pages, Simone had expensive taste.
Simone entered their bedroom and saw Noah looking at her obviously not hidden-well real estate book. "Um…"
He closed the book quickly. "Hi." He smiled.
"I see you found it…"
"Yeah… I've thought about it Simone and we are going to move out. But I think it should be after the wedding. Planning the wedding will be traumatic enough without having to move stuff."
Simone grinned ear to ear. "Thank God… I thought you were going to say no." She walked towards her fiancée and pushed him flat on the bed as she climbed on him. "I love you Noah Robinson…"

Thomas walked down the street that the Slater's lived on. It was slightly dark and no one was around. He slipped the package into the mailbox. This would be classic.

Austin walked outside and saw Laurie sitting on a bench looking up at the sky. The sun reflecting on her tears. He meekly approached her and tapped her on the shoulder. She wiped her eyes, stood up, and turned around. "Laurie…"
She glared at him and slapped him across the face. "You bastard. How could you?"
