Elizabeth and Felicia touch their wineglasses together. "Well, well Elizabeth. Can you believe it? You me at the top… finally."
Elizabeth sipped her red wine. "Ahh the sweet taste of victory."
"Oh yes. It only took killing one man and blackmailing another to get here." She bragged.
She tried to keep her cool. "Um… Felicia… you're joking right… about the whole killing thing…"
"Oh you don't know? Well I guess I'll have to give you an update. You remember the district attorney before Kyle?"
"Yes."
"Well he was ruining my career… Defeating me every time we were faced up against one another. So I paid some homeless jerk to murder him." She smiled.
"Felicia--"
"I wasn't going to let some two-bit district attorney ruin my career."
"Yes…"

Sarah, Ethan, Noah, Simone, and Charlotte sat at the large dining room table. "This is so nice, all of my grandchildren together at one table, under one roof. Enjoying this wonderful meal." Charlotte stated.
"Yeah… sure." Noah muttered.
"Allow me to purpose a toast." Ethan said as he stood and lifted his glass. Sarah, Simone, and Charlotte rose promptly. Noah rolled his eyes and slowly stood up. "To the Robinson family. May we continue to grow strong and triumph as all the Robinson's before us have." The group touched each other's glasses. "And yes all under one roof. I've thought about it I've come to a decision."
Noah held his breath praying that Ethan had already had enough fun with his latest game and had decided to return to England.
"I've decided not to return to England." He grinned.
Sarah reached over to him and hugged him. "I'm glad you're staying kiddo."
Noah threw his napkin on his plate. "If you'll excuse me I'm suddenly not feeling well." He grabbed his plate and got up. "I apologize." He said with no emotion as he walked towards the kitchen.
Simone watched him leave and rolled her eyes. "I'll be back in just a minute." She followed Noah into the kitchen. "What the hell was that?"
"What?"
"That. What you just did. You know what Noah I don't even care to hear it. You're twenty-five years old and you're acting twelve. Get a grip."
"Simone you don't know what you're talking about okay?"
"I may not know about Ethan's past but all I see is a kid in there trying to be a member of this family. It's been two years, a lot can happen in two years."
"Not with Ethan Robinson."
"You don't know that. You've had no contact with him since he left."
"Simone--"
"I just cannot believe you are acting like this." She turned around swiftly and walked back to the table.
"Is everything okay?" Ethan asked Simone.
"Yes. Everything is fine. Noah just has a headache, that's all."

"Darling did we have any mail? I never checked it."
"Oh yeah. I put it on the table by the door."
"Okay." Phyllis got up from the couch and walked to the table. She noticed the large package on it. She picked it up and studied it. "Victoria, what's this?" She called out to her daughter.
"I don't know. It felt like pictures or something."
"Pictures?" She felt it, it did feel like pictures. "Who would be sending me pictures?" She pushed the metal tabs together, opened the package and took out the pictures. She gasped as the pictures hit the ground.
Victoria came around the corner. "Mother?"
Phyllis covered her mouth. "Oh my God…"
All the pictures had fallen face down on the ground. She bent down and picked one up. "My God…"

Nicholas had been trying to untie the robes that bound his hands together for hours. Maybe it would be easier if his face didn't hurt so badly. "Rotten bastard…" He felt one of the knots come untied. "Thank you Jesus." One of his hands was finally free. He untied the other knot freeing his other hand. "Damn that feels good." He stood up and looked around the small room. "Come on… there's got to be something here." There was a desk on the right side of the room. He opened the top drawer. There were various pictures of women, some he knew because they lived in Heaven Beach. "What the hell…?" He yanked out all of the drawers. "Come on. Come on." The last drawer contained a lead pipe in it. "Yes!" He exclaimed as he picked it up. "This will do wonderfully."

The tense dinner was finally over. Simone and Noah had returned to their room for more arguing no doubt. Sarah picked up her car keys. "I'll be back in a little while." She shouted out hoping someone would hear her.
She unlocked her car door, got in and cranked it. She backed the car up and drove down the street while glancing at her watch. "I'll make it just in time."
She pulled up in the City Hall parking lot and walked in through the front doors. Everyone had left except for a short, stout secretary. "Ma'am will be locking the doors in a few minutes."
"It'll only be a second." She walked past the secretary and down the District Attorney wing. She spotted a young man locking the office door. "Uh… Hey. Wait a second."
Philip turned his head to look at the woman asking him to wait. "Can I help you?"
"Is Elizabeth Harper in there?"
"I'm afraid her and Felicia left about an hour ago. Can I take a message for you?"
"No thank you. But I really need to speak to Ms. Harper. Do you know where I can find her?"
"Her and Felicia went to a restaurant for some kind of celebration. As you can see the invitation wasn't extended to me."
She chuckled at the man's sarcastic tone. "Do you know what restaurant?"
"Um… I don't know the name but it's by Heaven's Hideaway because they said they were going to stop in there after dinner."
"I know exactly where you're talking about. Thank you." She turned around and ran out the doors. "I'm going to find out just what you are up to Elizabeth…"

Kate Weiss sat in the Slater's living room browsing through the pictures. "How sick…"
"What should we do Kate?" Phyllis pleaded.
"I'll take these down the to station. Maybe some of our guys down there can uncover some hidden details in them. I'll also have them dusted for fingerprints."
"Mine and Victoria's will be on there."
"No problem." She stood up and put all the pictures in the package. "You did a smart thing by calling me. And I promise you Phyllis I'm going to do everything in my power to bring Nicholas home."
"Thank you so much Kate… for everything." Victoria said.
Kate nodded. "I'll let you all know if anything comes up."
"God please send him back home to us…" Phyllis prayed.

Laurie slammed her door. The scene ran through her head again. Her vowing never to speak to Austin again. "Damn him. Why do I always get screwed over with guys? I mean what have I done that's so bad that all my relationships have been cursed?" She plopped on her bed. "I should just smother myself with this stupid pillow." She threw it up against the wall. "Dammit…"

Charlotte opened the door and saw the face of what looked like one of Ethan's old friends. "Maria…?"
"Hi Miss Robinson. Is Ethan home?"
"Yes. Wait just one minute."
"Thank you." In just a few seconds Ethan was standing in front of the door. "Hi Ethan."
"Hey Maria. Come in." They first reunion was cut short by her dad bitching about her fixing dinner. He closed the door and smiled at her. "How are you?"
"I'm… okay. Can we talk… somewhere alone?"
"Sure. Follow me. Grandmother I will be upstairs." He walked up the steep stairs and made a right. He opened the double doors leading to Sarah's wing of the home. "What's up?"
She closed the doors quietly and turned around.
There was a huge black and blue bruise on her right arm. "Oh my God Maria… what happened?"
She rubbed the bruise. "I… fell."
He looked at his friend for a moment. "Maria you're the worst liar ever. Come on now, tell me what really happened."
"My dad… pushed me…"

Nicholas stood beside the door that held him captive. As soon as Thomas walked in he would hit him over the head with the lead pipe and be out of this situation, in theory. Various noises had been coming from whatever room was in front of the door for about ten minutes. Anytime now… The knob slowly turned. He stood in his stance ready to swing the pipe at the perfect time.
"I hope you're ready for your nightly medicine." Thomas chuckled. As he began to open the door.
The door was open widely Thomas entered. "Bastard!" Nicholas screamed as he swung the pipe making contact with Thomas. He groaned faintly as he hit the floor.
Nicholas hopped over him and ran out of the room. He ran into a room that looked like an average living room. Everything seemed normal. He looked around trying to find a way out. He spotted the door across the room and sprinted towards it. It was locked by a deadbolt that you had to have a key to open. "Son of a bitch." He muttered, time was running out, quick. He picked up the phone and dialed 911.
"911 emergency. What is the problem?"
"This is Nich-- No!"
"Excuse me? How can I help you sir?"
"No! Damn you! Help me!" He shouted as he was being dragged back into the room. He was so close… so close.

She parked close to Elizabeth. "What are you doing here?" She watched as Elizabeth walked up the stairs leading up to townhouse. "Come now Elizabeth I'd figure you'd be in a place a little more… luxurious than a townhouse." She got out of the car, quietly closed her door and headed up the same stairs.
Elizabeth knocked on the door.
"Who is it?"
"Elizabeth."
"Elizabeth who?" I don't know any Elizabeths, he thought to himself.
"Just please open the door."
He looked through the peephole and opened the door. "What the hell do you want?"
"I need to talk to you Kyle."
"Yeah. I'm sure. Look Felicia's won does she have to rub it in my face?"
"Felicia didn't send me. I swear."
"Lawyers lie all the time. I should know I'm one."
"You don't understand. Just please give me two minutes."
"Fine. But I'm not letting you in. I know Felicia's dirty tricks. You'll probably put wires all over the place."
Sarah snuck up close to the door. Thank God it was dark.
"I don't really know how to say this… so I'll play it for you." She pulled a tape recorder out of her jacket pocket and pressed play.
He heard Felicia's voice over a noisy crowd:
"Oh yes. It only took killing one man and blackmailing another to get here."
She pressed stop. "Need I say more?"
Sarah stood there stunned. "I would never have thought…"

Amir sat at a small table drinking a cup of coffee. He looked out at the night sky. It was absolutely beautiful he thought. He glanced at her. Silently he shrugged, not again… A young woman with dark blonde hair and blue eyes kept looking at him. Why was it that women only wanted you when you were involved with someone else? Of course him and Sarah weren't really involved… they had only had one date. But if felt to him as if he had known her forever. The young woman approached him. Damn…
"Hi."
"Hi…"
"Mind if I join you?"
Before he could respond the woman had already pulled out the chair and sat on it. "Uh… sure."
"You just seemed so lonely over here by yourself so I decided to come over and talk to you."
He faked smiled just wishing this girl would go away. Maybe he should come up with some excuse and leave… no that would be rude and he hated rude people.
"What's your name?" She asked.
"Amir… Amir Chazel."
"Mia Brooks. Pleased to meet you."
He simply nodded. What was this girl thinking? She looked like she was fresh out of high school.
She sipped her cappuccino. "You live here?"
"Yes I do. Do you? I know this is a big tourist town."
"I go to the university here."
He stood up. "Sweetie, I think you're just a little too young for me."
"Huh?"
"I'm twenty-nine years old, going on thirty."
"Oh my God… you totally got the wrong idea."
"I'm sure I did…" He threw the money on the table and grabbed his book.
"No. You really got the wrong idea. I don't want to have sex with you."
He dropped his book. "What?" He couldn't believe the bluntness of this girl.
"I said I didn't want to have sex with you. It's not that you're not attractive or anything but I just saw this older guy and the truth is I don't have any older friends around here and I thought you could be my… older friend. That's all. I promise."
He peered at Mia. "So you're just looking for a friend…?"

Simone gulped down a glass of water. "Oh my God… that was our first fight." She said out loud. She heard Ethan's voice at the top of the stairs. He sounded upset. "Dammit Noah leave the kid alone." She mumbled as she began to walk out of the kitchen.
"Maria. Wait."
Simone stopped. Maybe she shouldn't interrupt.
"Ethan… I've got to get home."
"You can't just say something like that and walk off. He has no right to do that to you. I don't care how pissed off he was. That's abuse."
"Just stop it Ethan. You don't understand… it's that new medication. He just hasn't gotten use to it yet."
"So that gives him the right to push you around? That's bullshit and you know it."
"Ethan please…"
"I guess he's pushed your mom around too. That son of a bitch."
"That is enough." Maria said sharply.
"I'm going over there with you. I'd like to see him try to push me around. I can't believe that bastard."
She turned and walked away. "I'm leaving." She slammed the door and was gone.
"I don't believe it." He muttered as he walked back up the stairs.
"Oh my God… that poor girl." Simone said coming out of the kitchen.

She had overheard their entire plan. They were stupid really discussing it outside. I guess they didn't think anyone was around. She quietly walked down the stairs before Elizabeth left. This was wonderful… She leaned up against Elizabeth's car. "I can't believe my luck."
"I'm still not so sure about this. This could be a double cross."
"Think about it Kyle. What does Felicia have to gain from this? She's all ready got your job, what more could she want from you?"
"I guess you're right…"
"Karma's finally going to catch up with her. She's done too many bad things for it not too. She's an evil woman…"
"You got that right. Keep me updated. If you'll excuse me I'm going to retire for the night."
She nodded. "Thank you for your help Kyle and for trusting me. Not many people in your situation would."
"I never said I trusted you Elizabeth…" He closed the door.
"He'll come around…" She said as she walked away.
April watched the woman leave. She was furious he already had women coming over? How dare he… mister "let's patch things up." And a second after she says no he's already on the prowl again? "Pig…" She swung the door open. Kyle spun around with a shocked expression on his face. "What the hell was that about Kyle?"
Elizabeth jumped back, dropping her keys. "Thanks for scaring the hell out of me Sarah."
"Anytime…"
She bumped her over and unlocked her door. "Goodbye Sarah."
She grabbed her arm. "I heard all about your little plan Elizabeth… and don't think I'm not going to use it for my advantage."

If only he would have had just a little more time… It killed him he was so close and it was snatched away from him in a split second. Now he was back to the beginning, sitting in a chair, hands tied behind his back… only tighter now. There was no way out now, Thomas would make sure of that. So here he was stuck at the mercy of a madman…
