Mia kisses Austin, in front of Laurie.

Elizabeth and Kate had been talking for at least half an hour, she could tell Kate did not want her help. "Look, Kate. I'm a hands on kind of gal. I'm coming with you."
"Miss Harper you're the assistant district attorney. When we bring that scumbag in your job is to make sure he rots in jail. Not cuff him."
"I'm fully aware of what my job is Kate-" Kate shot her a look. "Uh… Miss Weiss."
"You're just as stubborn as that damned Felicia." She shrugged. "Fine you can come with me, just be sure and not get in my way." She grabbed her trench coat off the hook and put it on.
"It's eighty degrees, are you crazy?"
"It's all about the ensemble baby." She put her gun in her holster, clipped her badge on her trench coat and put her walkie-talkie in her pocket. "You sure you're ready for this?"

"Did you do the research I asked you to do?" Felicia asked as she walked into Philip's office.
"Yes ma'am. It's all right here." He handed her a stack of papers.
"Oh, good. Well, I really don't have much for you to do. You can go home if you'd like."
Excellent idea. "Are you sure?"
"Yes. No use in the state for paying you for sitting around on your butt."
Like you do everyday? "I completely agree. I'll see you tomorrow morning then."
"Don't forget we go to court. I'll need you there."
He nodded as she walked out of his office. He grabbed his briefcase and keys, locking the door behind him. He whistled a happy tune. That girl at the library was amazing. He didn't even catch her name though… Oh well, he was sure to see her again. After all Heaven Beach wasn't that large of a town…

"Mia, please." He begged as he opened his dorm door.
She followed him inside. "Austin, why most you keep fighting me? Am I not every bit, and probably more, the woman Laurie is? What do you want with Miss Goodie-Goodie anyway?"
"I wouldn't expect you to understand."
She stepped in front of him and placed her hands on his chest. "You know you can't resist me."
He moved away from her. "I'm not in the mood to play your games. I like you, yes. But-ah I don't know."
"You like Laurie more? Please Austin don't be a damned fool… She doesn't even want to speak to you."
"Because of what you did. How else did she find out we slept together?"
"Oh I see. You are only self-righteous when it benefits you."
"I am not self-righteous."
"She had a right to know. So I told her."
"If you must know Mia, after you left I regretted sleeping with you."
She stood still, her face read shock. "You-You don't mean that Austin…"
"Yes Mia. I do mean it."
"Well when Laurie turns you down and trust me honey she will don't come crawling back to me. You were just my flavor of the week." She noticed the expression on his face. "Oh yes the sword cuts both ways." She slammed the door on her way out.

She stood facing the mirror putting on her hanging ruby earrings. Amir was still lying in the bed looking at her.
"We're going out to eat… I certainly hope you're not going out naked."
"Actually I was considering it." He joked.
"I'm also taking you to see a play tonight… so if you do get dressed I'd go with a suit."
He threw the sheet off of him and got out of the bed. "What play?"
"Hairspray. It's traveling down here and I bought tickets. It's suppose to be really good."
He kissed her on the cheek as he walked towards the bathroom. "If it's suit you want, it's a suit you'll get." He smiled at her and shut the door.
"Oh wow…" She turned her attention back to the image in the mirror, she studied herself. She had some of her hair pulled back, the rest touching past her neck. She wore a long red spaghetti strap dress that flowed down to her ankles, just exposing her matching red heels. "Damn Sarah you clean up well."

Elizabeth and Kate trudged through the patch of woods. "Ow. Dammit to hell."
Kate turned around to see Elizabeth fretting over a tear in her skirt.
"I can't believe this."
"You wanted to come." She reminded her. She began to walk off but turned around again. "Elizabeth, just a little advice from me to you. A suit coat, skirt, and heels aren't the best things to be walking around in the woods. It may be nice for court but not in the great, fabulous outdoors."
"It's things like this that remind me why I always hated nature." She took another step and felt her foot get caught on something. "Oh God what is it now?" She groaned. She tried to shake loose from the root. "Dammit. There goes these heels."
"Will you stop and come on Miss I'm-a-hands-on-type-of-gal."
"I'm coming." She caught up with the Inspector. "I don't even understand why we're out here. There's no building in sight. Maybe the 911-call trace was wrong…"
"It's never wrong."
"Look around you Kate. Do you see anything that a phone line would be connected to? Hell do you see a telephone wire?"
"Elizabeth I'm not here to hear your bitching. Now let's find this place."
She shrugged as they hiked onward.

Victoria stood at the large window staring out onto the back lawn. Her grandmother stood behind her. "Sweetie, there's no need to worry. You know how good Kate is. She'll find Nicholas. I was right about Faye and I'm going to be right about Nicholas."
"Grandmother do you know how many people are kidnapped daily? Hundreds? Thousands? And of those how many return home? Maybe a handful… Most of them are dead by the first day. This is a completely different situation from Faye's. Nicholas doesn't have any choice at all of coming home… I just can't stop thinking about it. I stay strong around mother but I haven't slept in days because of it. I can just see him there… pleading to come home. And that bastard not letting him go…"
She sighed and walked away bumping into Phyllis. "Maybe you can talk some sense into her… I tried…" She left leaving Phyllis and Victoria by themselves. Phyllis walked over to the bar and fixed herself a drink. "Victoria I need to talk to you…"
"If it's about Nicholas, I'd rather not hear it."
"It's not about him. Everything's just been so hectic around here I haven't gotten a chance to talk to you about something…" She took a sip of her bourbon hoping it would relax her. "Victoria… I heard you talking to Faye right before she came out her coma…"
She had avoided it enough. There would be no running away this time. "Yes…" She mumbled still staring out the window.
"In fact… I heard the entire thing." She sat the drink down and began twisting the ring on her finger. "I heard you tell Faye that you had been…" She choked on the word. "H-Had been…"
"Raped…" She said as a tear ran down her cheek.
She saw her daughter's reflection in the window. "Oh God… darling…" She placed her hands on Victoria's shoulders. "Why-Why didn't you tell me? Why did you keep it a secret so long? I would have understood. I would have helped you anyway I could. We could have gotten you help… I just can't stand the thought of you crying all alone thinking about what happened. If anything I could have been there just to hold you. I know you and the rest of the family think I'm flaky… Maybe I am. But I could have been there for you Victoria…"
She couldn't look at her mother's face, it would be too painful so she continued to stare out past the window. "I was just scared mother… I was just scared."

"I suppose I should tell you why I brought you here…"
He looked away in disgust he didn't even care anymore, about anything. The failed attempt to escape has been eating at him.
"And I suppose you still want to know how your sister ties into this…"
His sister. He would give anything to just hear her bitching at him for whatever reasons.
"Your sister and I know each other…"
He couldn't imagine his sister knowing such a foul human being.
"We met in New York seven years ago…"
"Will you stop bullshitting around and get to the point?"
"I saw her walking down the street. Wearing a cleavage-bearing shirt, a little sexy mini skirt. I have to admit man she was fine. I could tell from the way she walked that she had a spirit of a wild buck. Strutting down that sidewalk, she knew she was hot. You know I can't stand women like that. Walking around in their slut clothes knowing that they could have any man they wanted. I followed her, she was on her way to some new hip club. No doubt looking for an easy one night stand. I threw her into an alley… and well let's just say I broke that young buck's spirit."
"You bastard! I'll kill you!" He screamed trying to break free of his restraints. "I'll kill you, you rotten bastard. I swear to God I will."
"There, there. Look at you all revved up. Look's like its medication time." His eyes caught one of the television screens in the room. He saw two women looking around outside. "What is this?" Too bad he couldn't hear what they were saying. He noticed one of the women as Inspector Kate Weiss. "Looks like they traced your little 911 phone call. I wouldn't get my hopes up Nicholas. There's no way they'll find you. I'll make sure of that." He walked out of the room disappearing from Nicholas' sight.
"Please God make them find me…"
"Kate I'm just going to stand here. I've already broke one heel. I'm not planning on breaking the either."
"Whatever you want to do. I'm just going to go check this spot over here."
"Fine…" She rubbed her forehead. What the hell was she thinking coming out here?
He was going to not try… Maybe by some chance one of them could hear him. "Help me! Please somebody help me! It's Nicholas Slater! I'm here. Help me!"
She turned her head. "Did I just hear something…?" She pondered out loud.
"Help me! Please!"
A chill ran down her spine. "K-Kate. Where are you?" She called out. "Kate. I think I--" She felt the presence of a hand behind her. "Kate!" She screamed as she darted off towards the inspector.
"Dammit." He muttered as he disappeared from sight.

It was seven o'clock, April should be walking out of the hospital's main doors any minute now. She got out of her car and stood up against it.
April walked through the revolving doors. Finally this day was over. She could go home, take a long, hot bath and go to bed. She noticed the woman leaning up against the car.
Simone approached April with a smile on her face. "Hey."
"Hi Simone… what are you doing here?" She asked solemnly.
"Come on girl, we are going shopping. Nothing cures a bad day like spending a lot of money on clothes you don't need." She adjusted her purse on her shoulders. "I didn't dress up so we'll both look awkward."
"I appreciate what you're trying to do… but I'm really not in the mood to go shopping. Can I get a rain check?"
"Aw, come on it'll be fun. Besides you need to get your mind off of everything."
She was being so sweet, she had such great friends. "I'm really going to have to take a rain check Simone… I'm sorry." She smiled sadly. "I'll talk to you later."
She watched her friend walk off. "Well I tried…"

Luke Campbell watched his last student walk out of the tutoring session. He gathered up his things and began to walk out of the room but stopped when a student of his blocked the doorway. "Hello Mia. I'm afraid you're about two hours too late for the session."
She lifted an eyebrow. "I'm not here for the tutoring session…"

Laurie opened the freezer slowly. All her comfort food was gone. She was going to be fifty pounds heavier when this whole Austin thing was over. She shut the freezer and grabbed her keys. "I'll just go on a massive diet after this thing blows over…"
Ten minutes later she was in front of the frozen goods aisle. She picked out three different kinds of half-gallon ice cream cartons and placed them in her basket. She turned around to go check out and bumped into the man that had helped her earlier that day. "Hey…" She smiled friendly at the man.
His face lit up. He hoped he wasn't smiling like an idiot. "Hey. How are you?"
She noticed him glance at her basket. Her face turned red. "Wow… this looks thin huh?"
"Oh I--"
"Don't bother, it's fine." She looked at the basket. "I just needed some comfort food…"
"Now why would such a beautiful girl, such as yourself, need comfort food?"
"I'm afraid for many reasons…"

"What in the hell is wrong with you?" Kate asked angrily.
"I think… I think someone just tried to grab me."
"What?"
"I don't know Kate… I can't explain it. I just felt someone behind me… It just frightened me so I ran over to you… I think I heard someone to."
"You heard someone?"
"Before it happened I swore I heard someone screaming help."
"Where at?"
"By that tree I was resting at."
Kate ran off towards the tree, her gun raised.
"Kate! I don't think it's safe and besides it's getting dark… Should we really be out here?"
"Shh…" She approached the tree and looked around. "Well… there's nothing here. Are you sure you heard something?"
"Of course I am."
"Help me!" A faint voice called out again.
"Oh my God…"
"I told you I heard something."

Anna walked into the living room she stopped suddenly seeing Phyllis holding Victoria on the couch. "Is something wrong?" She asked hesitantly.
Phyllis slowly let go of her daughter. "Mother…"
Victoria gave her a pleading look.
"Victoria was just upset about Nicholas… that's all."
"Oh… Well I fixed you all some tea, it's in the kitchen if you want it."
"Thank you mother." She watched her mother leave the room and then turned her attention back to Victoria. "Everything's going to be okay, from here on out. We're going to get your brother back and this family is going to be normal again."

Philip and Laurie sat on a bench outside of the grocery store. "So tell me why you have some many reasons to have comfort food?"
She took in a heavy breath it was everyday she poured her heart to strangers. "I guess it all started two months ago… when school started. Austin started going to the university and I kind of fell pretty hard for him. I befriended him and found out not only was he cute as can be but he was really sweet. I made my move one day… in a drunken state." Philip gave her a curious look. "Oh yeah. Then Mia came around…"
"Uh oh…"
"Yeah… Mia. Cute, perky, sweet, slut Mia…"
"Whoa…"
"Mia sunk her claws into Austin. They kissed twice, in front of me. She bedded him. Then told me… right after it happened."
"Damn… Do you blame Austin?"
"Yes. I mean how could he do this to me? I know he liked Mia but damn. It just wasn't right, you know Philip? I was such a fool… I should have known better though, none of my relationships ever work out. They all end with me alone crying and eating ice cream." She glanced at her ice cream. "Which is now melted…"
"It really sounds like - to me - that Austin's the bad guy in this situation. If he was going to have a relationship with Mia he should have cut off all ties with you first."
"I know… You're right. But even after all this I still want to be with him. You probably think I've lost my damned mind don't you?"
"No… Unfortunately you're just in love… It makes us all a little nutty at times."
She sighed. "Yeah…" She glanced at her watch. "I should really get going Philip… it's getting late."
He nodded in agreement as he jotted something on a piece of paper and handed it to her. "Here's my telephone number. If you need me call me, anytime."
She put the number in her purse as she stood up. She shook his hand. "It was very nice meeting you Philip. Thank you."
"You're welcome. Like I said if you need me to be afraid to call me."

"Then what are you here for Miss Brooks?" He asked.
"Do I have to spell it out for you dear professor." She gently nudged Luke into his classroom and closed the door.
"Miss Brooks… what are you--"
"We wouldn't want anyone to see us, now would we?"
"See us doing what Mia I don't--"
"Shh…" She pressed her index finger up against his thick lips. After a couple of seconds she released and took off her tank top. "Well you next." She pressed her body up against his and began unbuttoning his shirt.

"I'll get it." Ethan called out as he walked down the stairs. He looked out the window. "Man it is pouring outside." Whoever was standing at the door has their back turned.
She watched the door open. "Ethan… I'm sorry."

Entry 367

She's amazing in everyway… beautiful, kind, intelligent. I've only just met her and I've already fallen for her… those sweet blue eyes, oh, what I would give to wake up to those eyes every morning. She seems to be wrapped up in a guy right now, but I don't think that will last. I'll do anything to have her… anything…
