Victoria spotted her mother sitting on the couch, reading the paper as soon as she walked into the living room. She walked behind the couch and plopped a sheet of paper on top of Phyllis' newspaper.
Phyllis, startled, turned and looked up at her daughter. "Darling what is this?"
She walked around the couch and faced her mother. "Nicholas and I did a little researching on the Miller's. Of course we knew about Miller Enterprises but we didn't know the details."
"Darling what does this have to with me?"
"Just be quiet and listen. Now is not the time to put on your phony act." She paused for a moment to make sure her mother wasn't going to say anything. "Miller Enterprises is worth a net worth of one hundred million dollars. And upon Brad's father's death he is entitled to all of it. It turns out recently his father isn't in the best of health. Now knowing you mother, and Lord knows I have to give you credit, you married this man without a prenuptial agreement. Which means the day Brad's father dies you're going to file for a divorce. Entitling you to half of that one hundred million dollars plus and half of the company. Mother, this has got to be one of your all time low-- Oh wow…"
Brad walked into the living room wearing nothing but pajama bottoms. "Oh God. I'm sorry Victoria. I thought you were still asleep."
She continued to stare at the shirtless Brad with a glazed look. "I-um… It's quite all right."
Phyllis looked at Victoria curiously before Brad walked over to her.
"I was, um, just leaving." She said semi-out of breath. She began walking out of the living room but turned around just enough to catch another brief look at Brad. "Oh my…"
"Victoria? Why do you like so… funny?" Anna asked headed towards the living room.
"Grandmother I really don't think you should go in there. If I almost had a heart attack, you certainly will."
"What is it?" She poked her head around the corner of the opening to the living room. "Oh…" She quickly turned back to Victoria.
"Yeah…"

Noah and Simone walked up to Kyle's door. Simone rang the doorbell.
"It's open!" Kyle shouted from somewhere inside the apartment.
Noah and Simone walked in. "Kyle?" Simone called out. Kyle was packing boxes in the living room. The only items left in the room was a couch, a love seat and a television on the floor.
Noah noticed the sleep-deprived look in Kyle's eyes. "Kyle. Did you sleep last night?"
"Sleep? I don't have time for sleep. I've got all pack all of this crap because I have to be out of here by New Year's Eve. Sleep is not an option."
"Kyle, honey, you can't let yourself go like this. Look Noah and I will pack up some stuff up while you go in your bedroom and at least get a couple hours of sleep."
"No. I can't. Dad's coming with the U-Haul and I've got to load it." He looked at his watch. "Damnit. He should have been here twenty minutes ago."
Simone walked over and placed her hands on Kyle's arms. "I'm sure that Noah, your dad and I can manage."
"And then I've got to get everything from my bedroom loaded into the U-Haul after all this stuff in the living room is loaded."
"I'll go get April. She can help us and you can sleep at her place."
"I really don't think that's a good idea."
"She told us she forgave you. There's nothing to worry about. Noah and I have everything under control, everything will have be fine. You need your rest. You can't show up your first day of work looking like a zombie."
He shrugged. "Fine, fine. God you're stubborn."

Mia got up and dressed quickly. God that'd be awkward if he got up. She took one last look at Luke in bed and shut the bedroom door.
She turned down a hallway and walked out the door. Once safely outside she leaned up against the door and slid down. "Oh my God. That was the best sex of my life." Last night was the first time she had slept with someone over twenty-four and the thirty year old man back inside the house had blown her away.

Sarah, Ethan and Charlotte stood outside their door. Charles was looking up at them from the last step.
"Dad, do you really have to leave now?"
"Yes, Sarah. We've been through this."
"Come on Uncle Charlie. Stay until New Year's. The town's having a huge celebration and it would look good that you, as senator were there to celebrate with everyone."
"Ethan, I like the way you're thinking. Maybe you should consider politics instead of that theatre nonsense."
Sarah put her arm around Ethan. "Please don't kill him in front of grandmother."
"But I'll be celebrating the New Year at the white house."
"Oh. I see. So that damned president is more important than us?"
"Sarah, dear. Don't be like that. Look here comes my cab. Goodbye family."
"Bye." The three said in unison.

He touched the woman beside him on the back to get her attention. "Hey babe. Would you mind spotting me for a minute?"
Victoria turned around and dropped the fifteen-pound dumbbell in her hand. "Oh my God. Trevor is that you?" She threw her arms around him. "You have no idea how much I've missed you." She let go and looked up at him. "Look at you." She felt his arms. "All built up. You look great."
"Victoria? There's no way. You're beautiful. I mean-even more beautiful. If that's possible."
She blushed. "I see you haven't lost your charm. When did you get back?"
"Christmas Eve."
"I just can't believe you're here. I've missed you so much. It's been too long."
"Yes, yes it has."

Noah, Simone and April gazed upon the fully loaded truck. "Well ladies. Two hours. Not bad, not bad at all."
Simone stood behind Noah and wrapped her arms around his stomach. "Lucky for us we had such a big, strong man to help us lift such heavy things."
He turned around and kissed her. "Oh yeah?"
She bit her lower lip. "Oh yeah…"
"God you two are so disgustingly cute. You need to hurry up and get married. When are you going to sit down and actually pick a date?"
The couple turned their heads and with a huge grin on both of their faces they said together, "we have."
"You've set a date?" She asked excitingly. "When?"
"February 14th." Simone answered.
"Ah. Valentine's Day. A wedding on Valentine's Day how disgustingly cute for a disgustingly cute couple."

Amir sat in a café drinking a cup of coffee. As he sipped he blankly stared in front of him, deep in thought. He was so deep in thought that he failed to realize the young woman that had sat in front of him.
"Woo-hoo. Earth to Amir."
He came back to reality with a small jolt of surprise. "Oh, uh sorry."
"What were you thinking about?"
"Hm? Oh. It's nothing. Actually it's something but I don't want to talk about it."
"Yeah. I know how that goes."
"It's lucky for me that you came here."
"Oh?"
"I want to tell you something."
"Tell me what?"
"Mia… I find myself very attracted to you."

Charlotte walked into the living room carrying two cups of coffee. "Sarah? Is something wrong?" Her granddaughter looked concerned about something.
She took one of the cups out of her grandmother's hand. "I…"
"What is it?"
"You won't understand. It's useless."
"Sarah, I promise I'll try."
"Okay…" She took in a deep breath, "I miss mom."
Charlotte was somewhat taken back by Sarah's statement but did not let her face show it. She sat down beside her. "Sarah…"
"I know my mother wasn't the best person in the world. And I know she walked out on us. But it's been ten years. Ten years have gone by and I haven't seen my mother or even heard from her. I mean how do we know if she's even alive or not?"
"Trust me, dear, your mother is alive. You know her. When she goes she's going out with a bang."
"I guess it's just this holiday season bringing on all of this." A single tear ran down her face. She felt her grandmother put her arms around her. She laid her head on her grandmother's shoulder. "I just miss her, so much."

Maria followed Ethan into her bedroom and shut the door. "What is it?"
"Maria. We need to talk."
"About what?"
"I've been thinking a lot about what happened the other night, with you and your dad."
"Ethan, shut up." She said in a harsh whisper.
"You can't pretend nothing happened."
"It doesn't matter. It won't happen again."
"You don't know that."
Her strong defenses were weakening. "J-Just please leave." She said weakly.
"I'm just not going to walk out of your life."
Her eyes began to water up. "Ethan, please don't do this to me. Not today."
He walked over to her, put his hands on her arms and looked her in the eyes. "I'll never walk out on you Maria, never."

Elizabeth parked her car next to the U-Haul. She looked at it strangely for a moment before getting out of her car.
She walked up the steps and knocked on Kyle's open door. "Hello? Kyle?"
April walked to the door and stood in Elizabeth's way of getting in.
"Excuse me April. I need to speak with Kyle." She tried to walk by but April continued to block her way.
"What about?"
"It's private business. Now can I please get by?"
"You're not welcome here. So you can take whatever Felicia's little message is and tell her that I told you to shove it up her--"
"Excuse me?"
"Because if it wasn't for her Kyle wouldn't be doing this and I wouldn't be loosing the man I love."
"April." Kyle was now standing beside Elizabeth.
"K-Kyle…"
"Kyle, good. Will you please tell your little girlfriend to back off so I can speak with you?"
"Of course you can speak with me. Come in." Kyle and Elizabeth walked into the bare living room.
She looked around the empty living room. "Kyle. What is going on?"
"Elizabeth. I need to tell you something."

Felicia looked around her dark, gloomy living room. There was no Christmas tree to take down, no lights, no wrapping paper to clean up, no Christmas cards to take down from their displays. She sighed. "Aunt Cassie, you always loved Christmas so." It was a week before Christmas of 2000 when Cassie had died. She had been diagnosed with breast cancer and in her will she had left Felicia her entire fortune.

Felicia approached her Aunt's hospital bed. The eighty year-old woman slowly opened her eyes and smiled at the sight of her niece sitting beside her. "Felicia." She said softly in a rasp voice.
She touched her aunt's hand. "How are you?"
"Doctor Moore says I'm recovering."
Felicia just smiled.
"She even says I might be able to make it home for Christmas. She said I could live for another five or ten years. You know a lot of other women have survived breast cancer."
She rubbed the side of her Aunt's face. "Shh. Go back to sleep now. You'll need your rest if you're going to be home by Christmas."
The old woman smiled and closed her eyes. Within minutes she was asleep again.
Felicia rose from her chair, looked outside the door and shut it. She walked back over to her aunt's beside and stared at her. She knew what she had to do. She turned her sight away from her aunt and stared at the plug to the machines that kept her aunt alive. She looked back at the door when she realized it was safe she reached over and pulled the plug out of the outlet. Five minutes had passed and she was certain her aunt was no longer alive. The flat line on the monitor confirmed it when she plugged the cord back in. She took a deep breath and began frantically screaming for help.

Victoria walked into her mother's office. Phyllis was sitting at her desk looking at various papers. "Mother."
"Victoria, darling." She stood and walked over to her daughter. "What can I do for you?"
"I've invited a guest over for the dinner party tonight for New Year's. Please don't have an encore of your Christmas dinner toast."
"Of course not darling."
"Yes…"
"Well, darling, if you please. I must get back to--"
"Not so fast."
"What?"
"Tell me about this Kip Davis who's moving in."
"Oh, it's nothing really. An old friend of mine, Adel called the other night and told me that Kip had a bad break up and he needed to get out of town for a while. There's no big story behind it, it's just that. Adel would have done the same thing for you or Nicholas."
"I don't know mother. I just don't feel right letting a stranger move in…"
"Just promise me you'll give him a chance, will you? You might end up liking him."
"Yes. I promise."
"And you and Nicholas spend some time with him, you know show him around. I'd do it but I highly doubt he wants to hang out with a forty-nine year old and plus you three are all around the same age."
"I will mother."
"Thank you. It means a lot to me that you're willing to help out one of my friends. I know it most be terribly hard on Adel letting her youngest go, poor dear."

"Tell me what Kyle? What's going on? I see a U-Haul outside your apartment. Your living room furniture is all gone. Oh my God Kyle. You're not leaving are you? Just moving into a… uh… maybe a house? You and April seem pretty serious. Maybe contemplating getting married? Having a child? Oh God. Kyle you can't leave. I can't do our plan alone."
"Elizabeth. Take a breath. Ever since I lost my job as district attorney--"
"That'll all change when Felicia's fired and rotting away in prison. You can be the district attorney again. It'll be like you never left."
"I can't stay in this town anymore. I need a fresh start, new beginnings--"
"Don't give me that cliché crap Kyle. I'm not going to be able to pull this off alone. I need you."
He shrugged but thought of an idea quickly. "Come on. Get in your car."
"What?"
"You know where Max Allred lives don't you?"
"The chief of police? Why in the world do you-oh no, Kyle. It's his annual break. He'll kill us."
"We'll take the chance. He's wanted to nail Felicia just as long as all of us have. We'll just play him the tape."
"Okay. Get in."

Philip glanced around him to make sure no one saw him unlock Laurie's door with his lock pick. He shut the door quickly and locked it. He walked into her small bedroom and stared at her bed. He took of his shoes and got into the bed. Smelling her pillows. "Mm…" He looked around the room. "Now I'll get to see you in here, every night."
