If you are in the fenestration business (windows & doors) you will be interested in this
very easy to use web enabled quoting program. Using this program a salesperson can
quickly produce a neat and professional quotation document for his or her customer.
The quotation is limited to 1 item only, at this point in time at least. The salesperson can choose
one of the window designs available on the left hand side of the screen. These are pretty
standard graphical representations of the most commonly built and sold windows today.
Aside from the 1 item limitation the salesperson is not restricted in any way as to how much
information he or she enters on the quote.
Create a sample quote following these steps:
- Enter your company's name, address and so on under 'Company Info'
- Enter your customer's name, address and so on under 'Customer Info'
- Briefly describe or specify the design and the system of the item under
'System and Design Description'
- Enter the quote number under the 'Quote No'
- Enter the date under the 'Date'
- Enter item specific options such as color or kind of fittings under the 'Options'
- Enter the information about the glass under the 'Glass'
- Enter the number of the windows being quoted under the 'Qty', this value will be used
by the program to calculate the Total
- Enter width and height of the window (in millimeters) under the 'Width' and 'Height',
these values are only used to scale properly the graphical image of the window
- Enter the list price for one window under the 'Item Price'
- Enter a percentage of discount if applicable under the 'Disc.%'
- Enter a percentage of total taxes levied on the window under the 'Tax %'
- Highlight the window on the right hand side of the screen by pointing with the mouse on it
and clicking, notice that the color of the window will change from light green to dark red,
this will indicate that now you can select one of the designs available on the left hand side
of the screen (menu)
- Select one of the designs from the menu by pointing and clicking on the chosen design,
note that the window on the right hand side must be highlighted (dark red)
- Click the 'OK' button to allow the program process all entered information.
If you feel happy with all the information you entered then click the 'Print' button, this will open
the Print Preview screen where you can see what the quote will actually look like when printed.
Print your quote using your browser's 'Print' options.
