~Things I've Discovered~
It takes a lifetime
to discover
That happiness is
always around
If you just stop and
dig a little deeper
In each moment, each
day, each sound.
It takes a lifetime
to discover
The way to peace is
there
In awaking to every
new morning
In learning how to
share.
It takes a lifetime
to discover
It's not about money
or fame
For when these things
disappear
People wonder 'who'
to blame??
It takes a lifetime
to discover
We should be just
like a child
taking in the greatness
of life
The laughter and the
smiles.
It takes a lifetime
to discover
Peace and hope grow
within
and though people
disappoint you
Your heart will always
mend.
It takes a lifetime
to discover
that life has much
to give
If we'll let go of
our yesterdays
Then tomorrow we'll
start to live.
The future is not
always certain
Of what lifes' journey
holds in store
But if you share hope,
peace and love
You've just opened
heavens' door.
It takes a lifetime
to discover
That the best things
in life are free
and when you start
to share your heart
You have truly begun
to 'see'.
