LILAC FIELDS

~Lilac Fields~

Forget the cares of this day
Forget what's been said this hour
Close your eyes and visualize
A field of purple flowers.

A field of purple lilacs
Dancing beneath the sun
Close your eyes and you'll see it
A field where you can run.

Take your cares and problems
Take your pains and heartaches too
Cast them into the field of flowers
watch them melt away like dew.

Pretend you're running through the field
Like a child with no cares or shame
Stop and inhale a breath of sunshine
with a hint of summer rain.

Feel your problems melt into oblivion
as you race through this lilac tide
while thousands of petals brush them away
like velvet feathers at your side.

Stand and gaze at the sun above you
let its' warmth sear through your mind
Watch as butterflies fill the skies
their beauty so sublime.

If you can see these beautiful images
If you can capture it - make it real
Some days in life - we all need to dream
and run through the lilac fields.

This image and the set from Beverly inspired this poem above. I had to stop for a moment and think-why can't we all just put away our cares and problems; even if just for a moment and visualize a place
as beautiful as the scene above. We can't run away FROM our
problems; but we all could sure use a 'daydream' break, away
from them now and then!!   At least I think so, don't YOU??
