Well today is Dylan's 11th birthday.  My how the time has flown.  He did well this year present wise - lots of stuff to build (Castle, Lego, Magnetic building stuff), a new PS game, Narnia Dvd and lots of fiddly little things lol.

I have bought a few more things for myself with Mum's money, all good stuff that I know she'd agree with.

I've ordered some books through amazon.com (spiritual of course), some new age cd's, i bought a ring (From Mum) sapphire and diamond, that everytime I glance at my hand I think of her, the Kuan Yin statue, and believe it or not the Plush Buddha Beanie Doll pictured here lol (that is to have a cuddly thing from Mum) lol

Dylan had a ball opening his presents etc, but he too remembered this is his first birthday without Grandma, but I used some of my inheritance cash to get him a pocket knife as a keepsake from Grandma.  It is locked away for now, for I don't want him playing with knives as such, but he can certainly ask for it to be gotten to show friends etc.

It is a happy day being my baby's 11th Birthday.. but a day with a little hole in it cos Grandma is not here to share the joy with us. 

My missing her has gotten better but somedays and some occasions (such as today) bring all the memories flooding back and makes you miss her anew all over again.

The only things that kept me going personally in losing Mum was my friends, my son and my spiritual beliefs in Kuan Yin.
