A friend told me an interesting story today.  Her husband said he'd leave her and the kids if she didn't do her work and all his also!  So this poor gal has to mow, weed eat etc.  Hubby just sits when he is home from work.

Now don't get me wrong I agree if the wife isn't working she should do a little more here and there, but to say he will leave if she doesn't mow?  How is that for 21st century exploitation.

We all know there are various levels of domestic abuse these days, there is:

Physical Abuse, Financial Abuse, Social Abuse, Religious Abuse, Mental Abuse and Emotional Abuse

Physical Abuse - getting hit, punched, kicked, pushed, shoved or simply stood over in a threatening manner.  Finacial Abuse - you get this much for food only nothing to go out with or buy clothing etc with.  Social abuse, withhold of money so family cannot go out and do anything, not allowing the wife and/or kids to do things EVER etc.  Religious Abuse - you and your beliefs are mental, don't talk about that shit in front of my friends or family etc.  Mental abuse - you are so stupid, fat or ugly you couldn't get a job, or have friends etc etc.  You are nothing! Nothing! And soon everyone is gonna realise this! Over time this could cause the wife to become cut off and have no faith or belief in herself in any capacity. Emotional Abuse - similar to above.

When does the crap stop?  When do Men realise that women are equals and actually capable of multi tasking lol? There is no boss, ruler, or king in a marriage only equals. All work should be delegated fairly.  And who is to say raising a child or children is not equal to or even harder than the work the husband does?

Because he earns money it gives him the right to be a GOD?  Sorry don't think so.

And don't get me started on any kind of abuse to a child, especially emotional abuse.  I see red whenever that happens. Children should be cherished and encouraged at all times not told that they are useless, lazy and will never get jobs and end up in jail etc.

Is it the men of today?  My father, my grandfather they could be anything, make anything, run the house, assist the little woman and still have plenty of time for family fun.  A lot of men today (NOT ALL BY ANY MEANS) can't even put new knobs on furniture, let alone build a house, gate or table etc etc.

Abusive men of the 21st Century wake up and smell the paint thinners. Women are as capable as you in every way and many of us have jobs that equal or better yours, so we should not be treated any less just because we have breasts.

There is an ad campaign here in Oz that says 'Violence Against Women - Australia Says No!' and I'm all for that today and everyday. 

These little men wannabe's need to be stopped before they really do hurt women and or children.
