Soapbox Time

Look out! She is getting on the soapbox.

I think it's about time that I exercise my brain and therefore my opinions on things that put the wind up my skirt! LOL

Continuing from yesterday's post - Equal Rights etc.

In this, the 21st century, why are men violent or abusive to women?  I have a theory it may be their mothers!  If their mothers doted on them and told them crap all their life, they grow up thinking 'they are all that!' and then no woman can fulfill their need for assurance and worship (such as their mother gave them).

Wake up and smell the coffee guys! Not all women born from the 1960's onwards were training to be Marion Cunningham from Happy Days.  Myself for example, I was raised to be an equal, to not need a man if necessary.  I can change tap washes, light bulbs, hang a painting, do the mowing, weed eating, dig a hole, know about gardening, install a lock etc.

I am proud to say my father taught me these things, and even now I am still so grateful to know these things.  There is nothing worse than waiting for hubby to come home to change a light bulb or hang something on the wall LOL

If I was trained this way, others will have been too, so why do you guys continue to treat us inferiorly?  Is it you smell power or confidence and it frightens you?

Sisters are doing it for themselves!  So if you want a girl that brings you your smokes, beer and slippers when you get home from a day's work you may just have to keep looking.  A lot of us were not raised that way. We respect our men but we are not their slaves!!!

The world already has enough violence in it, let's not have it in the home!!
