ALLAH'S GUEST

Allah's House is today my destiny
To the Ka'bah and the blessed city
To which I turn my face in prayer
But today I travel and journey there

Small world! Behind I gladly leave you
Your worldly comfort I give no thought to
I trek forward determined to strive
Ready to climb the mountains to arrive

Though my hands are bare and empty
My heart is full of Allah's Bounty
And patience, from Allah, I humble request
To be my friend in this life's test

For each Muslim must undertake
The sacred pilgrimage for Allah's sake
This duty is our invitation
From Allah, to show our dedication

There bows a beautiful congregation
Mankind, together in supplication
And equal is every colour and person
In Islam no race is chosen...

Then after the Hajj is over
And we have gone away
Make dua to Allah to take us back some day
And after the Hajj is finished
And we are home to rest

Give Praise and thanks to Allah
Who honoured us as His guest.
