Intentions

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

"Actions are but by intentions"

( Hadith in Bukhari and Muslim)

‘Actions are to be judged only by intentions, and a man will have only what he intended’ 

(Bukhari, Bad’ al-Wahy, 1; Muslim, Imara, 155; Abu Dawud, Talaq, 11).

Make your intention to please Allah first and Foremost. This is the first and most important thing no matter what type of activism you get involved in.

An intention (niyah) is to have an aim, a purpose, a commitment. To have a clear intention means to have realized CLEARLY what one desires and the direction one wants to follow. Intention is the CATALYST of all actions.

Everything first comes into a person's mind as an IDEA. 

What is that idea? 

If it's for Allah (SWT)...let it grow in your mind. 

If it's not...stop and think, WHY? 

If it's for another person, wonder at how you are putting a human being over Allah (SWT). Wonder of how this person will not help you if you die tomorrow. Know that you will DEFINITELY regret having a wrong intention.

After you have your intention straight, go ahead and ACT upon that intention.
