O' Abu Dhar! Worship Allah as if You see Him and if You weren't seeing Him
(You must understand that) surely He sees You. Know You that the first of
worship of Allah is (Ma'rifa) gnosis, for He is surely the first before every
other thing, so there is nothing before Him, The singlemost without any second,
the continuing but not to an end. He is the Creator of the heavens and earth and
whatever is in them and between them and He is the Subtle, the Aware, and He has
power over all things; then (the second most important factor in the worship of
God is) belief in me and acknowledgment that Allah sent me to all of humanity as
a bearer of glad tidings, a warner, a caller (of people) to Allah by His
permission and a illuminating torch of light; Then (the third most important
factor in God's worship is) the love of the people of my house, Those from whom
Allah has removed (from them) every impurity and purified them a perfect
purification.
[See Quran 33:33]
You must know Abu Dhar that Allah, the Great and Majestic, has made the Ahlul- Bayt in my nation the likliness of the ship of Nuh (Noah) whoever rides it is saved and whoever desires other than it is drowned. He has made them (Ahlul-Bayt) the likeliness of the Gate of Jericho among the Banu Israel, whoever enters the gate is safe.
O' Abu Dharr! You showed anger in the name of Allah therefore have hope in Him for whom you became angry. The people were afraid of you in the matter of their (pleasure of this) world while you feared them for your faith. Then leave to them that for which they are afraid of you and get away from them taking away what you fear them about. How needy are they for what you dissuade them from and how heedless are you towards what they are denying you. You will shortly know who is the gainer tomorrow (on the Day of Judgement) and who is more enviable. Even if these skies and earth were closed to some individual and he feared Allah, then Allah would open them for him. Only rightfulness should attract you while wrongfulness should detract you. If you had accepted their worldly attractions they would have loved you and if you had shared in it they would have given you asylum.
