Previously a newspaper salesman and the star of off-off-Broadway productions, Ivan Sergei (May 7, 1972) began his career in New York City, New York. His first film role was playing a troubled student named Huero in the critically acclaimed Dangerous Minds, alongside Michelle Pfeiffer. Dangerous Minds was the break that lead Ivan to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a full-time acting career.Television and Ivan Sergei seem to go together as well as bread and butter. Ivan's first memorable television appearance was in the made-for-TV-movie Mother, May I Sleep With Danger?" opposite Tori Spelling. In Cananda, his claim to fame was playing a character named Mac Ramsey, a quick-talking, karate chopping, gun-toting James Bond for the 90's, in the television series "John Woo's Once A Thief." Other credits include If Someone Had Known; Bionic Ever After; and The Rockford Files. He has made guest appearances on such popular shows such as Touched By An Angel, Cybil, Party of Five, and Kindred: The Embraced.
His most recent popular film was The Opposite of Sex, portraying the object of Dedee Truitt's (Christina Ricci's) affection, as a character who isn't exactly the brightest crayon in the box, if you know what I mean.
