system is WAY overloaded. THIS WILL BE ONE OF THE MOST FRUSTRATING PROCESSES YOU'LL
EVER DO. Plan to spend AT LEAST ONE HOUR pulling your hair out trying to get into
this website on opening day at 10am! Why, because you will be kicked off many, many
times. There is such a huge demand that it is next to impossible to log on and make
a reservation. SET UP YOU CUSTOMER ID NUMBER IN ADVANCE! Call them on
their off hours and set it up because you will need to give your customer ID number to
make things go faster. Otherwise, you have to set up a new account which takes time.
The more time you take, the more chance that your campsite might get "called
in" and get taken. If your campsite gets taken while you are entering in your
information, you will have to start the process all over again! Make sure you don't
push BACKSPACE. The page will expired.

Beginning the
15th of each month, visitors will be able to make Yosemite campground reservations up
to FIVE months in advance by telephone, mail, or the World Wide Web. From May through
September, campsites are in heavy demand and prospective campers are encourage to call the
reservation number as early as possible.

Check-in/check-out time for Yosemite Valley campgrounds is l0:00 am. Campsites in the Valley campgrounds are assigned by the NPRS when the reservation is made. Campers may request specific campsite numbers (if they are available) when they make their reservations. Campsite assignments are final; campers may not switch or change campsites after they arrive in the park. Maximum length for recreational vehicles in Valley campgrounds is 40 feet.
There is a 30-day camping limit within Yosemite National Park in any calendar year, but there is a more restrictive camping limit in Yosemite Valley from May 1 to September 15: seven days in any calendar year. Yosemite Valley campgrounds are not wheelchair accessible.
