I'm an 18 year old transguy trying to work out where I fit in society. Being trans is hard enough, but being young and trans brings alot of problems. I first "knew" I was different at the age of 4, when I simply did not understand why my genitals weren't the same as the other little boys. I grew up a very confused little kid, and when puberty hit - I was devestated. At around the age of 12 I came out as a lesbian, because I knew I had feelings for females, and I knew I was female bodied. This never sat right with me, and when I learnt about the word "Transgendered" I knew thats what I was. At the age of 17 I came out to my parents as trans, and have been fighting them ever since to begin transition properly. In 2005 I had my legal name change and am in the process of seeking hormone therapy.
