It's interesting. I started this story a LONG while ago.. and my Beta and I didn't like the way it was heading so I put it away a while. Dragging it out the other day I discovered I really enjoyed the beginning.. so I sat and started messing about with it. This was the results.
Also interesting is that two other stories (Sam and Jack versions) have sprung up on other lists regarding the SECRETS episode over the past few days. I just thought it was interesting that we all wrote the end of an episode from such different perspectives.
After rewatching that ep, I DO believe I'm closest I've ever been to a Daniel /Teal'c story.. so stay tuned :-D
BACKGROUND: At the end of the SECRETS episode, when most see Sha're as *saving* Daniel by not revealing him, I first saw it as her consciously choosing Apophis over Daniel... basically telling the guy - "Get on with your life.. because this is now mine!" *shrugs* That's how I saw it anyhow... you'll need to know that to read this - I feel :-D
SUMMARY: After returning from Abydos, Daniel must deal with his grief and emotions about Sha're. Has Sha're's decision to go with her lover (Apophis) and not with her husband broken Daniel's heart - or opened it?
