Courtney Walsh's Test Match Ducks

Duckman Courtney is here

Congratulations Courtney- leading accumulator of Test Match Ducks

This page is not to be taken seriously, humour is intended. To be fair to Courtney, he has often saved matches, or made vital runs at the end of an innings, but staying there. He is also now the leading accumulator of not outs in tests.

He's Done It. I knew he would. Courtney now has 43 Test Ducks, overtaking Danny Morrison, and is the owner of the proud record of having acheived the most Test ducks. Listed below are the 41 occasions when Courtney has headed back to the pavilion without troubling the scorers. Well done on a fine achievement. What a hero.

Of course Courtney batting is always entertaining, and if his bat connects with the ball, it can go a mighty long way (the ball that is, he doesn't literally throw the bat!)

So here it is- a record of all Courtney's Test Match Ducks to date

This page NOT to be taken seriously- humour intended!

On 27th March 2000, Courtney got a duck against Zimbabwe thus completing the full set! And according to the Daily Telegraph on Sunday 16th April, he is the only test player to have a full set of ducks against all the test nations. I know this is a record he won't be proud of, so hard luck Courtney.

Facts about Courtney's ducks

There have been 10 occasions where Courtney has scored a duck in the first innings of a Test, and hasn't batted in the second

He scored 4 ducks in a row against England, no's 18-21, between Feb 94, and Jul 95.

He has played three Tests against Sri Lanka, and scored a duck in each of them. There fore Sri Lanka are the country he is most likely to get a duck against.

Surprisingly Courtney had NEVER got a pair in Tests. He has now rectified this, with a pair against Pakistan in Rawalpindi in Nov/Dec 97.

His duck in the test at Johannesburg was Shaun Pollocks 100th Test wicket.

Courtney now has 41 Test ducks- more than his highest score in Tests (30)

I wonder where all those came from?
