Picture No. 13!!
OK, this is it, the legendary Picture No. 13. This was given out as a publicity photo on KC and the Sunshine Band's UK tour in 1975 (I didn't get one - sob). So it appeared in the press quite a lot around that time. I actually used to have it as a double page pin up- the only pin-up I had for a long time. KC is wearing a green shirt- what a memory I have. This version was in Record Mirror in January 1976.
(Techie note- with these old articles which are somewhat yellowed with age I do a best quality photocopy, then scan the photocopy- seems to work)
Now all I have to do is find out what pictures 1-12 were! No. 1 was my first ever picture of KC, from 1974 which I am sort of hopeful of finding again. Some other early ones I remember include one of KC, Rick Finch, Robert Johnson and Jerome Smith sat on a wall (my first ever KC pic was actually from the same photoshoot), and one of KC, Rick Finch and Henry Stone of TK records. I did actually find that on the web in an article about TK records (which was such a good article I will link to it from here)
