Hate Mail: My Cyberspace Work for Liberty and Justice For All
The following are some samples of the many hate letters I have received from Freepers, Dittoheads, and other right-wingers who want to bring about a more civil political environment, presumably by cussing their holy heads off [this is the usual hypocritical RepublicNazi logic, go figure].
As I do not believe in ignoring such responses, believing we have to fight the Republicans at least as fiercely as they fought us when our last elected president, Bill Clinton, was in the White House, I include my responses in italics like this in these cyberspace battles. Some are not for the faint of heart.
More letters can be viewed on Jackson's blog here.

Jacko, how can you twits attack Arnold when you refused to even acknowledge Clintons actual (not alleged) groping, philandering and likely rape? And how do you explain the LA times failure to even mention good old Grey’s verbally and physically abusing his staff. In the world of media there is a big difference between sworn testimony or affidavit and unknown or unnamed sources. You lost the credibility to attack Republicans on matters like this when you refused to call out Clinton.
The country is finally starting to see through the blatant hypocrisy and sleazy attacks made by the left using their willing accomplices in the media. You Libs need to do a little self examination and be honest with yourselves as to why you are losing power in every state and in DC. People pay attention and they have better memories than you think. Free your mind. Peace,
Pete Cecconi
Right - you rightwingers lost all credibility to support rapist nazis like Arnie when you impeached Clinton for having CONSENSUAL sex. He didn't rape Monica; Arnie raped at least one woman I've interviewed. But i guess if republicanazis commit rape, that's OK with your ilk - it's just having a good time, right? But if a Democrat has a consensual affair, impeach and kill 'em, right?

you're and idiot
dave evans, chicago
Did you mean 'you're AN idiot'? Who's the idiot, here?
From July 2003 email:
It seems you have nothing better to do than to produce unverified, undocumented, unaccredited allegations against your president during war time. And you call him the anti-Christ?
How dare you put a man's name, ANY man's name, in the same sentence as the Lord's name. I have never seen such an unpatriotic American.
But since this is the greatest country in the world, despite your slandering of the government's name, you still have the right, a right protected by your "evil" government, to say whatever you want. And so do I...it's all opinions I guess.
Much luck to you in looking through colored glasses...
NED
I'm just doing my part in the pursuit of liberty and justice for all.
And bush is not my president and never will be. I also didn't call him the anti-Christ - I just said he was closer to the anti-Christ than the second coming of Christ as so many bush followers make him out to be.
I'm also more patriotic to this country than bush or any bush supporter because I have read our history from all points of view, not just the elite, and care enough to participate in protesting against an administration that only cares about conservatives, especially wealthy ones.

You liberals KILL me! Do you have ANY clue how stupid you look and sound? You sound like a pissy little schoolboy who can't get his toys out of the sandbox fast enough!!!! Like the little schoolboy getting dirt kicked in his face and running back to mommy......GET OVER IT ALREADY. YOU LOST. GORE LOST. THEN YOU LOST AGAIN. WHAT PART OF "LOSERS" DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND?
You can call GW all the dirty, nasty, personal things you want. It won't work. He's the president. HE WON....YOU LOST. It is so sad (but predictable) when you liberals (read: LOSERS) have to resort to personal attacks when things don't go your way. Haven't you figured it out yet? The farther left you become, the dumber you look to mainstream, normal America. Keep up the stupid articles, keep up the personal attacks, keep up the whining and crying and you will keep losing elections.
Oh and by the way, has it occurred to you that Gore pulling out may be as simple as the fact he knows GW would KICK HIS FUCKING ASS IN 04????????
SEE YA, LOSER!
Mark Walters
The more of these kind of expletive-laced emails i get from bush ass-kissers like you, the more you look like a bunch of arrogant, selfish assholes. keep it up and you will lose the advantages you have and more mainstream americans will wake up to what a bunch of hatemongering, racist nazis many of you far-right conservatives are....
November 2002
i read your article on bushwatch. its funny how you elite liberals think you're just the smartest things ever.... maybe you are. maybe you're too smart for your own good, but in my opinion you guys are just clueless. al gore represents your segment of the population splendidly..... absolutely incapable of relating to or understanding what makes your fellow Americans tick.... here's something I wrote today and I'd like to share it with you...
For the life of me, I cannot fathom how anyone could dislike George W. Bush. Everytime I see him on my television, I cannot help but smile at the infininte GOODNESS that radiates from the man...... Good husband, good father, good Christian, good American.
Mike Stanley
Dear Mike Stanley,
Thanks for your email and not resorting to profanity and threats like many Bush supporters who don't agree with me do.
I don't think I'm the typical elitist liberal, if there is such a thing. I'm solidly middle class, like populist sports such as football and hoops, don't play polo [I have played water polo before though], don't belong to a country club [I'm with Daingerfield - I don't think I'd want to join a club that would accept me], frequent Target and other non-elitist stores, eat at Wendy's, Cici's, and other non-elitist restaurants, and so on. I'm also a family man with two young children at age 43, not some young student who hasn't been around the block a few times.
But I admit I'm a liberal. I think liberals have done a lot of good, such as working to get rid of race slavery and child corporate slavery, and working for human rights, voting rights, the preservation of the environment, world peace, and other issues.
I have lived in Texas most of my life and followed Bush and his crowd closely. You can't just look on the surface when dealing with Bush. He seems nice on the outside, but underneath he is very arrogant, vindictive, petty, and selfish. He practices Christianity mainly to get votes and feed his addictive nature - he had to get hooked on something after giving up drinking, for the most part. He doesn't practice what Christ preached when he said, "Love your enemies," that's for sure. He hasn't done anything of substance to help the poor and needy.
Furthermore, Bush has snorted cocaine, drank until at least age 40, had at least one extramarital affair [the woman was married, not him, although there are reports of Bush having an affair when he was Texas governor], smeared Sen. John McCain, who I voted for in the 2000 primary because I wanted to vote against Bush twice in one year, with vicious lies in South Carolina, went AWOL after his family got him in the Texas National Guard during the Vietnam War, rewards his campaign contributors with favorable legislation, appointments, and other perks, and has been shown to do anything, including cheat, to take office.
I know we disagree on Bush's character, but I think he is one of the biggest hypocrites alive. I don't understand why more Americans can't see through him.

October 2002
The Republican National Committee called for instances in which Democrats supposedly lie. I sent this email:
You Republicans are the biggest bunch of pathetic, lying, criminal hypocrites in American history. You STOLE the 2000 presidential election and have been lying about it ever since, and now you accuse Democrats of lying?
One of the biggest lies is that you still call yourself the Republican Party. To be honest, you should change your party's name to the Nazi Party. Your main agenda is to take over and abuse the planet for your own selfish desires by any means necessary, just as Hitler wanted to do. May you all burn in your own hellfire you create.
P.S. I cited the Democrats.com commentary that alerted me about your latest hypocrisy as the Liberty and Justice For All Article of the Day on my site at http://www.oocities.org/jacksonthor - I hope you get TONS of calls and emails like mine.
Jackson
To send your own email to the Republicanazis, click here.
Brother Thoreau,
Comrade! Read your diatribe found at demogoguesunderground - just wanted to ask, do you have a red star tatooed on one cheek and the communist manifesto on the other?
Why don't you provide some actual, factual statistics that can be backed up with provable, reliable data when you go off making all those puerile accusations? Why? You don't have any, do you?
When are you and your comrades going to come out of the closet and tell the rest of America that you are what you are: a bunch of puke-breath, pinko-faggot-loving communistas who hate America and everything it stands for?
You don't have the balls, do you...not a full pair amongst the lot of you. There's nothing democratic about your party, your platform or your future. Everything you stand for smacks of communism if not outright socialism; and we all know what a wonderful success those have been everywhere tried around the world.
You make me sick,
Timoteo Padrones
Here's what i read from your email:
blah, blah, blah, blah, i love rush limbaugh, blah, blah, more conservative propaganda, blah, blah, blah, make mental note to kiss bush's ass, blah, blah, blah, must bash gays because i hate them, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, can't come up with any facts so must call democrats names like pinkos, blah, blah, blah...........
GET OVER IT. GORE LOST.....
Or perhaps you shouldn't, and keep harping on it, and stewing over it and forget about doing something to express your wishes to the next group of elected officals.... Hmmm that sounds right...
So Dont get over it... keep on the fight.. perhaps more people will be happy
that you don't get over it.. and keep you out of future politics and opinions...
I believe in doing something to bring about liberty and justice for all, not just hollowly mouthing the words, like so many reps. bush and co. STOLE the white house and trampled on our constitution in the process. thats not something a true American patriot just "gets over."
The article was complete nonsense - I hope you feel better after writing it - you sound as stupid as the folks on the right when they bring up Bill Clinton - 2 years after he's out of office. The real nazi's in this country are on the left, as they control the speech code on campus. The
socialism you folks desire is a failed system - capitalism is ugly but it's
the only fair way! It's sad that you don't get it!
Keep up the drivel - nobody (with an IQ above room temperature) is going to
take you seriously after rants like that!
Have a nice day,
Erik Richardson
Thanks for your email. I just want to clarify something: Do you think I'm a socialist because I'm advocating doing what our country's forefathers did?
If so, do you think Adams and Franklin and Hancock and others were socialists?
And I have gotten good response from a lot of people tired of being pushed around by big corporations. There's a revolution going on, which will soon blow up in the faces of all these corporate criminals and their apologists like you.....
While you may disagree - governments, including ours, has killed more, ruined more lives, caused more havoc, etc. than all the corporations combined, and they are watched more closely than criminals like Patrick Leahy who gets a pass on his unconstitutional behavior.
P.S. Adams was a Federalist - you know the folks you hate! Don't know much about Hancock other than his signature.
I don't agree governments are not scrutinized as much as corporations. Companies can hide all kinds of information and have private meetings, something governments have more difficulty doing. Corporate leaders rule governments through big contributions. Why do we think we have troops in every country on the globe? It's not for our country's defense, it's to further the multinational corporations' economic aims.
And I was talking about Samuel Adams of the Sons of Liberty, not John.
My response to many who wrote to me about the defeat of Rep. McKinney of Ga.:
I think what defeated McKinney more than her support by Arabs was her outspoken nature of the Bush mis-administration. She was one of the few in Congress willing to say George "Nero" Bush has no clothes, and a lot of Republicans crossed over to vote against her in the Democratic primary.
So is the message that we should not speak out so strong against Bush?
I think not. We should continue what we're doing, and damn the consequences. If we're ousted or shunned for standing up for what's right, so be it.
McKinney will find another platform for her stellar voice, I'm sure, maybe talk radio. We should all continue to try to do as much as she does.
August 2002
My post and debate on a message board relating to Bush's anger at baseball players who threatened a strike:
We have to remember that pResident Bush got rich off baseball, too. When he was a part-time owner of the Texas Rangers, he lobbied hard for a sales tax increase that would cost all of us in Arlington more when we bought almost anything [unlike American Airlines Center in Dallas, where hotel guests and car rental users - mostly visitors - pay for that]. He got the tax [note the hypocrisy here of Bush saying he's against higher taxes, then pushing for a tax increase when he can personally benefit] and when he sold the team to campaign contributor Tom Hicks, who Bush as governor gave some nice paybacks, Bush became a multi-millionaire.
Bush had to borrow much of his initial investment, which was only 2 percent of the team. The other owners, for some reason that some say have to do with political paybacks, agreed to give him 12 percent and make him a multi-millionaire.
So it's not just players who are greedy; it's owners like Bush, the "major league asshole" who is now making more self-serving, hypocritical decisions in the White House.
Jesus, does some idiot have to turn every issue into a political commentary??? Talk about anal........and living in the past.
That's because everything these days comes down to politics, even baseball and especially baseball. You can call me what you want, but you can't ignore what politicians like Bush do, because people like me have to pay those higher taxes he pushed for.
You are a total IDIOT !!!
What do you mean, idiot? You don't even know me or what my IQ is. Come up with something better than....duhhhhhhh.....you're.....an.....idiot.....
I posted this message during a discussion on Iraq on an AOL/Time board. Some responses follow. Some are from conservatives, some not. I did not fix typos or spelling mistakes.
I just wonder what Jesus Christ would do in this situation. Would he drop bombs on Iraq, knowing that many of them will kill innocent children and adults? Would he "turn the other cheek?" Would he "love his enemy?" Would he kill? Or would he throw the money changers out of the temple in another way?
From: MichelBeBop
If you look in the bible you see where God ordered the Isrealites to slaughter whole peoples and even thier live stocjk werent to be spared.and i dont think we need to ask what jesus would do.We need to just go about the bussiness of doing whats needed to get eh job done.
That't typical conservative Christian rhetoric - just ignore what Christ said in certain passages and do what you want.
He'll just laugh his ass off and say,"i'll be damned if you think i'm going to do it all over again for you nutcases. you're on your own on this one. see ya in about seven years. Peace, love, and chickengrease!"
Very interesting that you posted this. :) I say, "the end of the world is a comin'", so we should just sit back, spend time with our loved ones and get closer to Jesus. The Middle East can do all the "harm" themselves...and we know where they'll be going in the afterlife! So, why be a part of the problem? As long as I get to go to heaven in the end, I say, "whatever".
Mom in NJ
Really appreciate your comments. And you seem really well versed. My only question is this; are we to be more concerned today with "what would Jesus do" or should our focus be more on "what would Jesus have me to do?"
We are not and can not possibly be as perfect as jesus. We are supposed to strive for that perfection. I believe that a part of that is not necessarily trying to copy Him but try more to follow His will for us.
I wonder if He might start with the money changers. Sometimes I think they are a big part of this problem.
The answer should be obvious. He'd do just what he is doing...nothing.
Actually, it's funny that you mention that.
I was hoping that Jesus Christ would come down right now and DO SOMETHING about this!!!
I for one don't enjoy the prospects of world war 3.
I am actually an atheist, mostly due to the actions of christians, but I agree that Jesus Christ was probably the world's first pacifist, and would not bomb Iraq. I would be a christian if I knew any.
Maybe he'd challange Rome to a rematch! We shouldn't profess to be intellectual enough to know what a diety would do. By doing so, you're claiming omnipresence, yourself!
But that's what we're called upon to ask, as Christians, as those who try to follow Christ. We have to ask what Christ would do in our shoes. Haven't you seen all those WWJD sayings on t-shirts, jewelry, and other places?

From other July 2002 email:
As a veteran of this country - I fought for your right to have an opinion.
That said, you can leave this country any time you get ready. As a matter
of fact, if I had your attitude, I would already be gone!
Cecil Carrier
My father was a veteran, too, of WWII in the Pacific. I also almost joined the marines out of high school and would have gone if called upon back then. I was in the "junior military" - the Boy Scouts - and earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout. I did unpaid civilian service for two years on a special project after college.
So what's your point? That as an American, I don't have the right to state my opinion that Bush-Cheney and the right-wing in this country are leading us down into the gutter? You may have fought for my right to have an opinion, but I also fought for that right through my service to my country, community, and the world, and through my stating that opinion. What's the use of having freedom of speech if you live in a country where everyone marches to the same drum beat? You don't have a country, you have a dictatorship, if everyone worships those in power and refrains from criticizing that regime.
I will stay here and stand up to the Bush-Cheney administration the way our forefathers did the British and Patriotic Americans have done throughout our country's existence. I will battle for my children's future here. I will not run away to another country.
Jackson
IDIOT!!! YEAH, THAT SAYS IT ALL.
lhen
Yeah, that says it all about you. You obviously cannot debate me on the issues so you resort to name-calling. Look up "idiot" in the dictionary, if you can read that thick of a book, and see your photo.
Jackson
It must really piss people like you off to not have a real/valid reason to get those eeveal Republicans. It sure is fun to check out the Liberal Slant once in a while to see what the latest rants are. I find it hilarious that not one of you editorialists criticize President Bush for some of the things he needs to be criticized for. You just harp on stupid nonsense that has no relevance to anyone except some psychopath that is still harping on the election of 2000. What kind of a moron would do that?? oops......I guess that would be you.....Sorry, this is just too easy.
Paul Holland
What is more important than making sure people's votes are counted or that the right candidate won the election in our system? If someone can subvert the system so easily, we are no better than the totalitarian states we like to criticize. And what is too easy - calling someone a moron, you moron? You're right in that, it is easy.

In July 2002, Democrats.com posted some mostly incoherent emails received by some Rush Limbaugh Dittoheads you can view here.
I emailed every Dittohead listed on the page to send them the following reply. Many reponded back to me, including by sending me viruses and putting my email on right-wing lists like newsmax. I replied back and posted some responses with Democrats.com, as follows.
July 12, 2002
Greetings Dittoheads,
As a member of Democrats.com for more than a year, I read - or tried to interpret - your emails made to our fine Web site, which are printed at http://www.democrats.com/view.cfm?id=8187. Some, like Alan Witucki's letter, were actually readable and contained some good satire, which I can take. But I cannot stomach some other emails without having to reply.
To Grover Johnson, Right Wing Conser., Gilrom374, and John Sheridan, I guess you consider yourselves to be good Christians in the mode of your hero, Dubya Bush, huh? You're following Bush's hypocritical, major-league-asshole lead, using profanity against people who criticize your way of thinking. Can you show me in your Bible just where Jesus Christ said, "Fuck you, you asshole?"
To all those who told people like me, who don't believe the crap the illegitimate Bush-Cheney administration feeds us every day, to go to China or some other communist country, I have to say I was born in Washington, D.C., which makes me an American, not an anti-American. I love my country's ideals; I just want it to practice what it preaches. And I plan to stay here and fight for what I think is right [or left, in my case].
To all those who call people like me a sore loser, I will say this till the day I die: Bush did not win, Gore got about 540,000 more votes across the country, and if there was a fair and accurate count in Florida, Gore would have won Florida, too. Check out Michael Moore's best-selling book "Stupid White Men" and others for the many ways Bush and Republicans cheated in Florida to steal the election and trample on our Constitution. The losers in this election were the American people and our ideals. The only votes that counted in the 2000 presidential election were the five by the right-wingers on the U.S. Supreme Court.
To all those who believe media members like me are part of a great left-wing conspiracy, I have to say from experience that the media is not left-wing. I have worked in it and believe me, the media owners are mostly right-wing, and that shows in the largely favorable coverage Bush is getting. Many reporters and editors I know are either moderate or lean slightly to the right, and they try to be balanced in their coverage, although they don't always reach this goal. Others like me are definitely more liberal, but believe me, our ranks have dwindled since the 1970s, when you could legitimately call the media liberal. And I was not always such a partisan, liberal Democrat; in fact, I voted for McCain in the Republican primary in March 2000 when my county's Democratic primary did not have many contested races [I don't plan to vote in a Republican primary again after the way the Republicans ripped off the White House in late 2000]. The bottom line these days is that the largely right-wing corporate media owners tip coverage to favor Republicans in many ways.
If you want to talk about people tearing down the country and the Bush-Cheney administration, talk about what the Republicans did when our last ELECTED president was in the White House. Republicans like you did everything they could for eight years to tear down our country and Clinton, spending millions to investigate Clinton, and all they could find was a private affair. As you might know, many Republicans have had private affairs, including Newt Gingrich, Henry Hyde, Bob Barr, and J.C. Watts. In fact, Dubya, Jeb Bush, Ronald Reagan, and Bush Sr., themselves, have publicly denied they ever had affairs, while others say otherwise. See Comedy on Tap's list at http://www.comedyontap.com/features/congress.html for more hypocrites who have attacked Clinton for doing what they did.
If the Republicans can tear down the Democrats when our candidate legitimately gains the White House, we Dems can sure as hell tear down the Republicans' illegitimate candidate in the White House who lied, cheated, and stole to get there. I'm not tearing down the country, I'm doing it a service by speaking the truth and fighting like hell to get our country back from thieves like Bush and Cheney.
The Republican Party of Lincoln is long gone; now it is but a propaganda machine led by closet Nazis like Bush and Cheney and Limbaugh. Talk about propaganda, all Republicans do is repeat a lie loud and long so that they end up believing it. Republicans have lost most of the races for mayor to Democrats in major cities since stealing the White House in late 2000. Democrats also have ousted Republicans from key governor positions, including in Virginia and New Jersey. A Democrat, Ron Kirk, is even leading in the polls in the U.S. Senate race in Texas this November. If Kirk wins that, what a slap in the face that will be to Texas resident Bush [which is mostly why Karen Hughes left Washington to go back to Texas, to work on that campaign; it was another lie that she "missed Texas"]. Republicans are running scared in the 2002 elections, and it's going to be really interesting to see what happens.
To reiterate, Bush is not my president and never will be. As far as I'm concerned, President Bartlet on the "West Wing" is a much more believable and credible president than Bush.
Long live President Bartlett!
Jackson Thoreau
The responses, with my responses in italics:
I don't recall ever subscribing to your repulsive spewing of your own
personal opinions. Your website, however, does invite people to comment,
whether they agree or disagree with what is printed. My own personal email
address is not to be your haven for supplying me with a steady stream of
your opinions. Please remove this address from your listserve and I promise
to NEVER email your site again. I know we will never agree and I just don't
care to have your words cluttering up my mailbox. You are an uninvited
guest.
Thank you.
Susan Miller
I don't recall subscribing to LimbaughNazi's and others' repulsive propaganda that I'm subjected to through the media, but that's life. My opinions are based on facts, unlike most of yours. Although I do agree with one thing: we will never agree, except on the fact that we will never agree. As for being an "uninvited guest:" Well, excuuuuuuuse me!!! You conservative hypocrites can dish it out but can't take it.
Take me off your mailing list you idiot!
Paul Grimes
I will, when you stop worshipping one of the biggest idiots in our country, LimbaughNazi. You conservative idiots can dish it out but can't take it.
Greetings, creeps!
You addressed your e-mail to me as a "dittohead."
Excuse me, I am not a blind Republican Limbaugh-Head;
I am a Libertarian!! Your hateful site (not to mention
your laughable attempt to say that Bush stole the
election) is just a lame joke.
We are people who honor liberty (which Dems do
not), and when you say, Mr. Thoreau (surely not your
real name...coward!), that you were born here in
America, therefore you're an American...that doesn't
mean a thing! Being American is a state of being for
freedom, justice, and fair play. You are just a party
of Robin Hoods, taking from people who are successful
because they worked hard, and then handing it to
people who don't. You are anti-achievement losers who
do nothing but denigrate the truly energetic and
successful Americans, and uphold all the baser
elements of our society.
Just remember one thing....it's not just
Republicans that hate you....we Libertarians can't
stand either of the ruling parties...but we especially
hate you gutless, whining Dimowits.
Now don't be late for your dinner party with Alec
Baldwin after attending the Barbra Streisand concert.
I'll be working my butt off for your constituency in
the meantime. Oh, by the way...did I spell anything
wrong??? You Christian-bashing, Clinton-adoring
freak!!
RIP DIMOWIT PARTY!!!
Gary Gardner
Oh, libertarians, aren't they the party that wants to do away with government so you have these corporate cheaters running everything? Now that's an original idea - just take away one corrupt system for a more corrupt one.
I voted Libertarian in 1980, then I got religion and saw the light, brother! Excuuuuse me, I have to go party with Alec and Barbraaaaa.....
Yeah, my sincere apologies for stooping to the level
of you left-wing cretins, the filth you spew didn't
use any swear words, but it's equally (if not more)
profane.
Bush is the duly-elected president, get over it. As
for the rest of your typically liberal blathering,
well it's just that...liberal blathering;
gobbledy-gook that has no principled, or rational
thought behind it. I hope you continue to enjoy your
fantasy life, where Algore is president, or better yet
some fictional character. Insanity is often defined as
doing the same thing over and over expecting different
results, like parroting Gore won, hoping to make it
so. So keep your neck firmly surronded by your
spinchter and enjoy the view.
John Sheridan
So when you call my points "liberal blathering," is that some conservative propaganda code for "I don't know how the hell to respond to what you wrote?"
dittoheads wow you liberals must not be able to take much more pressure.name
calling .just shows that you are running scared come election.majority of
americans will speak to the DASCHLE, GEPHARDT,LEAHY,KERRY,ETC.So keep on name
calling.you are voting for the right people. We will REMEMBER,and you will see
come election.
COBDT
Doesn't LimbaughNazi himself refer to his cultist followers as "dittoheads?" There are references to "dittocams" on his Web page. All I can see is more RepublicNazis running for cover this election.
Take this garbage and shove it where it will never see the light of day.
JerseyCity
Would that be your nose? Or your brain?
yes but moron where is your prove of this, they proved Clinton was nothing
but a liar, you big dummies. The only reason I continue to call the
Democrapts dummies is because they prove it more and more everyday. Remember
the Quote by Clinton yea I smoked it but did not inhale, get real. He was
and is a joke, I mean Gore did not even when his on state, prove his on
people not even want him. Good Lord if he was president we would as a
country be in serious trouble, wake up and smell the coffee, brother.
Christopher Nelson [whose email address refers to himself as a "minister"]
Before you call someone a moron, I would learn how to use the words "prove" and "when" correctly. And what are you a minister of, the Church of Stick Your Head in the Sand? Or Up Your Ass....?
You really seem to suffer from anger, paranoia and delusions, may I suggest
Thorazine. You need to get away from the political arena, maybe to the
country to clear your mind of the anger and obsession to the rightous
outcome of the last election. Then after a time, with therapy, you might be
able to go on and live a somewhat independent productive life. Have you
ever thought about carving soap? Not dangerous and very theraputic.
Your a joke, get over it. God Bless OUR current president and thank God
that he will continue to get wide- spread support inspite of all the lies
being perpetrated by the lefter's. You all are so transparent, too bad you
can't step back and see yourselves. Good luck come November, but, be
prepared for a backlash.
Jeff Wallace
The only thing I will clear my mind of is such trash regurgitated from Bush-suckers like you.
___________________________________________________________________________
From June 2002 email:
I'm not a lawyer, but last time I checked, the Constitution makes no provision for "the people" voting for president, only that the electors appointed in a manner as each state shall choose will do the voting. That's according to Section II of the Constitution and the 12th Amendment.
As far as felons voting, again, there is no Constitutional law saying whether they can or cannot, so I suppose if a state wanted to prevent criminals from voting, based on the facts of their criminality, they can (I think) do it, as long as the age, race, sex, and previous conditions of servitude (no longer valid) conditions are met.
As far as Bush and Cheney living in the same state goes, I'm not familiar with the legal ins and outs of the residency requirements of Wyoming and Texas, and you'll have to educate me on that one.
Why people vote for the President is beyond me. I suppose it helps the electors decide who to vote for, but really if they follow the meaning of the Constitution, they (the electors) ought not to even take into account the so-called "popular" vote. The reason the Supreme Court was called in, was well, precisely because it was called in. There was a lot of funny business going on down there in Florida, and a case was brought to court. I think the court made a fair decision, one based on what the Constitution says.
I still don't understand all the fuss over the President. His only real powers are commander in chief of the Armed Forces and veto powers. He has some other stuff, but that's really it. People should be concentrated on their State and Federal Senators and Representatives, and less on the President.
Luke Burnett
It's clear we don't agree on these matters, but that's life.
True, the Constitution does not protect voters' rights, except for women and minorities in amendments. But when Bush says during his campaign that he will abide by the will of the people and support states' rights, then goes against the popular will of the people and against Florida's right to count votes, that's hypocritical in my book.
One of several problems with Florida excluding ex-felons from voting is it used a very harsh, inefficient way of excluding them that took off thousands of legal voters with the same names. When those people went to vote in 2000, they were told they could not because they were felons, which was wrong.
The 12th amendment is clear in not having the president and vice president residing in the same state, which Cheney and Bush clearly did in 2000.
For more than a decade, I have called for the abolishment of the elitist Electoral College in favor of a direct vote for president. If we are a democratic republic, let us act like one.
I agree that there was a lot of funny business going on in Florida, but most of that was by the Republicans. The Supreme Court should not have been called in for this matter; that should have gone to Congress as it did in 1876 and other presidential elections. For five unelected right-wingers on that court to decide this election was a travesty. I will never get over what I believe to be one of the greatest crimes committed against our country. Bush is not my president and never will be.
Finally, I don't agree the president has little power. The executive branch can supercede Congress by issuing executive orders. The president also sets the tone for the country. And all Bush-Cheney have done is say it's OK to be selfish again and feed the wealthy at the expense of the rest of us.

I'm sure you get this a lot, but I find your articles amusing. Obviously you only write for shock value just to stir up the leftist population as no rational, for-the-most-part-sane individual can write such drivel.
I'm guessing you've never held a real job in your life, so you have nothing better to do that write for a pathetic conspiracy-ridden publication that only pundits read (and conservatives who just need more ammo to prove how pathetic democrats really are). So go on thinking that Bush really knew about the attacks. I don't care how pro-business you are, no republican or human being could ever rationalize the lives of 3000 people just so they could make a few million dollars.
We're Republicans, we don't have to resort to such nonsense because we've gotten rich the way people should...by working hard and earning it, unlike you leftists who have to rely on the government.
How you people sleep at night is beyond me. Remember...Liberals lean to the left, but Conservatives are right. Good day.
Sincerely, Jeff M. Duluth, GA
I appreciate when people like you who don't agree with me at least stay on the issues and don't resort to profanity, which I get from some conservatives who think it's not hypocritical to call someone an a--hole and follow Christ. So I appreciate your tone.
BTW, I do have a job and even have worked for the same company for a whole decade. And I wasn't as liberal as I am now before Bush and Co. stole the White House; in fact, I voted for McCain in the Republican primary of march 2000. But the way Bush stole the WH radicalized me and many others, and I will never call Bush my president because I believe to do so is an insult to our forefathers and others who have fought and died for this country and its Constitution that Bush ignored.
And you got it almost right: Liberals lean to the left, but conservatives are right...off the map.

You have to admit Good prevailed over EVIL!!!!
Thank God for George W. BUSH

I will admit no such thing. If anything, evil prevailed over good. Why don't YOU get over my NOT getting over it?

Quit your whining or move. Gore tried to steal the
election too. Only he had the weaker case. You whiny
c*nts make me want to hurl. Go hug a tree you useless
boob.

You have a right to your opinion like I do, which is what this country is - or should be - about.
Your suggestion to move is interesting - when conservatives were whining for eight years about Clinton I don't remember anyone telling them to "stop whining or move." We have a right as Americans to stand up and state our views.
Gore tried to win the election that he had won by more than 540,000 votes across the country. If there was a fair and accurate count in Florida, he would have won.
Why do you resort to name-calling? Is your case not strong enough to stand on its own merits?
You stick-your-neck-in-the-sand, hypocritical, cussing, Christian conservatives also make me want to hurl....you right through my computer screen!
