Jade Isabel is a young and gifted singer, songwriter, and musician, who pours her heart and soul into everything she does. Jade’s lifelong love for music was recognized at an early age by her parents, who encouraged her to pursue her talents by enrolling her in School of Music at the age of seven, where she studied voice and piano for three years. From then on, her fervent attraction to music was further pursued with eighteen years of private voice, piano, guitar and dance lessons with various teachers and vocal coaches. Throughout her career, whether on the road as lead singer for rock groups, performing in cabarets and piano bars as part of the duo Hémisphère, or converting her style to country to introduce the “New Country Sound” to Quebec audiences at festivals and in clubs, Jade’s phenomenal voice has shone in a style that is all her own. Her numerous career highlights include: being chosen to perform on the live premiere of the television show “Star d’un Soir”, opening at the popular St-Jean-sur-Richelieu Balloon Festival to an audience of more than twelve thousand people, singing the National Anthem at the Rodeo Arena for the annual week-long St-Tite Western Festival to an audience of 8000, performing at Country Centre-Ville with Renée Martel, being awarded a bursary by the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Quebec, and landing acting parts in several films. As an accomplished dancer Jade has won roles in on-stage musicals, which gave her the opportunity to showcase her dancing skills, as well as her singing talents. To her credit, when she launched her first solo album CD-5 in May 1995, without the support of a record or distribution company; this limited edition recording burst onto the Quebec airwaves obtaining radio play for all five releases, achieving top 100 play list ratings for the song Demain for 15 weeks, and winning a Video Clip for the song Cowboy Boogie which made a frequent-play music video possible on the Quebec music network Musique Plus. With years of experience, and dedication to her craft under her belt, Jade is now endeavouring to gain the support of a producer to help her record an album for an exciting collection of original songs she has just finished recording acoustically in studio. Backed up by the sizzling guitar sounds of Quebec guitar virtuoso Toyo, and the vivid word imagery of poetic lyricist Joan Cook, Jade’s poignant voice and uplifting energy will shake your heart and leave you breathless… and when you finally recapture your breath, it will be with an irrepressible air of hope! |
