Garfield and his friends were created by Jim Davis, first appearing in June 1978.
Itchy and Scratchy - they fight and fight, and fight and fight, and fight,... (Scratchy is the cat, in case you weren't certain) were created by Matt Groening as the cartoon show within a cartoon show (i.e., 'The Simpsons').
Catwoman - the feline villian/femme fatale to Bruce Wayne's Batman; she has appeared in the comics, the campy 60's TV show, and in the 1992 Tim Burton film  'Batman Returns' as well as the animated  TV series, and the yet-to-be released film 'Catwoman'.
The Pink Panther is another creation of Friz Freleng.  Originally created for Blake Edward's 1964 comedy film 'The Pink Panther', starring Peter Sellers in the role of bungling detective, Inspector Clouseau.

Snowbie is, according to Guiness World Records (as recorded in November 1997), the world's longest cat.  He measures in at 103cms (40.8in) in length, and 33cm (or 12.9in) in height.  He lives in Scotland, UK.
