Filia is a Gold
Dragon Priestess of Karyu-ou Vlabazard, otherwise known as the "Fire
Dragon King" (nope,
he's waaaay different from Ceified, coz Ceified is the Flare Dragon).
She only appeared in Slayers Try (a series that isn't really supposed
to be there!...now do you get the reason why they call it TRY?)
and instead of Lina, she seems to be the main character there!
Anyway, she was assigned to help prevent the prophecy of Karyu-ou
about Dark Star's resurrection. All she has to do is to look for the
most powerful sorceress alive: Luna Inverse. However, Luna refused
because she said that she still has some waitressing job to do, so
Filia had to resort to the second most powerful sorceress alive:
Lina Inverse, the younger sister of Luna. However, Luna had warned
Filia about Lina so that Lina would really agree to the job (tsk,
tsk, tsk... sly Luna... >:D).
She was trained ever since she was a child; you could say that she's
very good, but she still needs some practicing, like when it comes
to transforming from a Gold Dragon to a Human Girl, she forgets about
the tail and it shows up/pops out from under her skirt whenver she
is pissed off or simply annoyed.
Going to that, she is really very impatient and also has this tendency
to be selfish. Since she is the only one in the group that has the
currency for that place, she ends up paying for all the food that
they'd eat (the more she gets worried about her salary). She would
end up having a sort-of nervous breakdown whenever she panics or worries
too much about something. She is grossed-out when she sees Xelloss
and would get angry whenever he is near... considering that Xelloss
had killed over a thousand Gold Dragons during the Kouma Senso...Filia
even gave a name to him: Namagomi, which means, Raw Garbage.
Filia is very poised and appears calm and quiet, more a like a
Sylpheel-like atmosphere, but it is quite easy
to drive her nuts... and Xelloss does a great job with that even by
just smiling at her. Zelgadiss even mentioned one time when Filia
had destroyed a town because she wanted to destroy Xelloss (but couldn't),
he was wondering if all priestesses are like that, even mentioning
Sylpheel and Amelia.
As mentioned earlier, she has this tendency to be selfish: she wants
her opinion to be the right one and would not consider the opinion
of Lina and the others.
Filia also carries a mace with her under her skirt and is a very useful
weapon against anyone (if used with 
caution).
However, it is quite heavy and Lina couldn't even carry it (but don't
worry, the guys can do the job for that).
She can always blackmail Lina by mentioning Luna's name so that Lina
would obey her.
On Zelgadiss, she can always discuss something with him regarding
the mission, but Zel would always leave her, telling her that the
only thing that matters to him is his cure. Filia finds Amelia a little
over-the-edge (if you know what I mean). I don't know when it comes
to Gourry, but Gourry is the kind of person who would sympathize (somewhat)
with Filia whenever she gets annoyed by Xelloss, even though Filia
would not mind him sometimes.
Finally, when it comes to Valgarv, she's all-ears and maybe, also
all-heart. She tried to help him and she greatly sympathized with
him when she learned of what's troubling him. She tried to stop him
and change his mind but he was the one who didn't listen. She never
even thought of harming him, even though there were so many times
when he would try to hurt her.
