9/11 brought us many things... The (un) Patriot Act, Homeland Defense (something akin to what Germany did just before WWII) Terror Alert Levels (can't wait to see the news announcing the Terror Alert Level has been elevated to brown) People being held without charge (I'm still waiting to see why we were holding some british guy at the base in Cuba)... etc... etc...
Yet I just can imagine what the hell the government thought when they thought all of us would swallow that eighteen guys boarded some planes and took it over with box cutters... And there's still a few things left that bother me...
One plane crashed down in Pennsylvania... There was wreckage... What about survivors? I never head anything about survivors? What? Did the terrorists kill 'em all with the box cutters? Then again I see some officials from Pennsylvania have been making the news in certain matters... can we say "cover-up"?
Didn't anyone ever wonder that the control towers should have noticed that the planes did a u-turn in mid air? Or are they not being paid enough to notice something like that?
We were facing a huge crisis with Enron and other companies... some of that directly involved the white house and Bush passing an order that people couldn't come in and get some paperwork that might have made him look bad... Suddenly.... TERRORISTS ATTACK AMERICA!!! Think about that...
We should also take note that Bush wanted more money to build up the military... He was being told no... Not like we really had a reason at the time... Then... Suddenly... TERRORISTS ATTACK AMERICA!!! Now we have absolutely no problem... (in fact some places are gathering up draft boards to start drafting men and women to come fight in Iraq)
