- Synonyms: Peat Brownie
- Cap: 1–2cm across, convex to bell-shaped becoming expanded,
dull ochre flushed tan towards the centre, drying paler ochre, slightly viscid.,
- Gills: pale olivaceous at first, later dark brown.
- Stem: 30–100 x 2–3mm,
pale yellowish at apex, becoming dark reddish-brown in stem. Smell mushroomy.
- Growing on conifer wood, in dense clusters, often of very many mushrooms.
