Creature/Species: Ferret

Known Family: Skrang's been reunited with his ancient grandfather, Ordelontho, who is currently living in the South of Mossflower at the age of 197 seasons. As of Neraldo and thurpren, he hasn't seen them in at least half score years and is unsure whether they curently live, but there are rumours that Dryditch Fever passed through the area in which they lived in a nepidemic, so they may have been slain by it. Sapphane (Steppe), also lives in Mossflower but occasionally travels to the northern crags.
History: Skrang was born in the clam of the aftermath of a late March rainstorm to black-footed ferrets, Neraldo and Thurpren, and coming from a family of ferrets that had been peaceful, benevolent forest-dwellers for over a century, Skrang was raised well by his parents. But when he beacame experienced enough, they bid him to dwell on his own, moving to flatlands in the south. (See known relatives for more on them.) He lived peacefully for many years, but was eventually drafted into the blood thirsty horde of the Marten, Maelvra Slayfang, which he eventually deserted along with a numinous stoat name Gordlump, who attempted to slay Skrang soon after; Gordlump, himmself, was slain by a gang of shipwrecked searats after trying to double cross them. Skrang, they didn't slay but took to serve them as an oarslave on their rebuilt ship; he presevered, and survived when they cast him overboard after he faked being sick with a conagious fever, fatal not to the afflicted beast, but to all who went near that creature; when he reached the mainland, he foudnt eh serene forest and jewels inside in that were Redwall and Jade Rock; the Redwallers treated the injurries he suffered, and they know him, but he opted to head to the underpopulated Jade Rock to spend his days in happiness and peace.
Short Description: He's a content, peaceful, happy-go-lucky soul, not given to immediate hostility toward others as most vermin are. He's also fairly literate (that is, able to read and write; not completely, though) and quite intelligent and has a fair ammount of varied knowledge on several things. In terms of appearance, his coat is a dark, glossy brown; when he was in Slayfang's horde, it was patchworked and greying, but he's shaped it up now so that he looks as young as he is (and he's still pretty young). He's tall, lanky, and of average build, with a long snout, an even longer tail, and a pair of fangs that are usually visible when he closes his mouth. He detests needless slaughter of other beasts, especially those meaning no harm and detests any evil beast who murders, plunders, or enslaves other creatures for pleasures or out of lust; he also dislikes greedy, deceitful, subterfuging conartists, though not with the same passionate hatred as the former (you can bet your left footpaw that he despised the searats who held hi captive). Despite his deceiving appearance, inside of him beats the pure heart of a creature who desires nothing more than a peaceful existance in good health and the well-being of others.

History: Slickgreen comes from the swamps southeast of Salamandastron. He was once a leader of a band of marsh creatures. they theived, murdered, and did many other atrosities and never felt guilty. Slickgreen, however, as the seasons passed on, felt more and more condemned of his way of life. One day, he finally came to the point of wanting to change. He did, but his band would not change with him. They drove him out of the swamplands. Most beast wouldn't trust him even when he tried to prove himself honest and good. Every hishap of wherever he tried to live was blamed on him. Finally he came to Jade Rock Fortress, where he was accepted at last and has lived in peace ever since.
Short Description: Slickgreen is a sea green colour with small brown speckles. He's quiet and carries a mischevious smile. If he ever fights (for he still has his fighting skills) he suses a small rough pole made of a blend of different rock. The origins of this pole is not known.
