may be found at the bottom explaining the mixing of certain ingredients-
otherwise known as
Alchemical Combinations.
Acid Sac
Throw to use. The acidic contents of this sac constantly sizzle and burn.
Uncommon.
After being struck by this poultice, affected targets have their combat
capabilities reduced for a short period of time. When applied to a lock,
the acid within will reduce the difficulty of the lock by 1 level. If used
on a level 1 lock, the lock is corroded open.
When thrown, this missile splits open and releases a shower of burning
acid onto the target.
Aloe Biscuit
Right click to use. These tasty pastries are excellent for filling up a
hungry adventurer. Common.
When eaten, these biscuits heal 10 points of damage.
When eaten, these biscuits are far more filling then their small size
would indicate.
Aloe leaf
Right click to use. Sprigs taken from the aloe plant have been known to
possess minor restorative properties. Common.
Eating an aloe leaf will cure 5 points of damage.
Eating these juicy leaves heals a small amount of damage.
Amber
A golden brown resin found in underground caves. Common.
Amber can be combined with other specific items to create various useful
creations.
Amber is useless in its unrefined form, but when mixed with other items it
can become quite beneficial.
Arrant Prac
Good for nothing.
Bag of rations.
Right click to use. A sack full of dry crackers and smoked meats. Common.
Eating these hard biscuits and meats eliminates hunger.
Although bland and dry, these rations can sustain an adventurer on a long
journey.
Bag of rotted meat
Right click to use. Eugh. Common.
There is a small chance that eating these spoiled goods will cause lesser
poison.
Eating this questionable fare may poison you while it reduces your hunger.
Beware.
Barbecued Stark
Right click to use. A roasted chunk of meat. Tastes like chicken. Rare.
Eating this tender morsel will reduce hunger.
One of the more tasty foods found in the Lands, meat from a Stark is hard
to come by.
Black lichen
Right click to use. This dark, mushroom-like fungus can usually be found
growing near bodies of water. Uncommon.
When eaten, this lichen will restore 10 points of damage.
In addition to its innate healing properties, when mixed with other items
this slimy restorative can become even more useful.
Blood aloe
Right click to use. Indigenous to the underworld, this thick, blood
swollen leaf grows from the remains of a fallen corpse. Rare.
Blood aloe converts 10% of your current mana points to hit points. It can
also be blended with certain other items to create useful combinations.
This rare plant seems to skew the metaphysical balance of the user when
eaten.
Bon-bons
Right click to use. Small, chocolate covered treats. Uncommon.
Although tasty, these frozen treats have no special properties.
When eaten, these soft candies taste good!
Bottle of wine
Right click to drink! A bottle of wine pressed from supernatural grapes.
Very Rare.
It is often said that wine goes well with music.
Drinkin this wine has nu visable uffact.
Cave aloe
Right click to use. Found growing in damp caverns. Eating this
fungus will restore health. Common.
Heals 5 points of damage.
Eating this sweet spongy moss heals a small amount of damage.
Champion Stone
Right click to use. A translucent orange nugget. Uncommon.
This hard nugget will temporarily increase your base might when eaten.
Created by mixing amber and Ironwood sap.
Physical energy seems to increase when under the effects of a Champion
Stone.
Brook flounder
Right click to use. The wily brook flounder is known to impart
transformative properties when eaten. Common.
When the third eye is active, monsters will have difficulty sneaking up
behind the player.
Consuming a brook flounder will cause a third eye to form in the back of
the head for a short period of time.
Death Sac
Right click on a weapon to apply. Rare.
When used with a physical weapon, this poultice adds a greater poison
strike to your next melee or missile attack. These poison effects can be
cued up on any given weapon.
Be careful when handling this item. Make sure not to eat it.
Dragon Meat
Right click to use. This meat is taken from the bodies of the mythical
creatures found in the Volcanic portal realm. Very Rare.
It would be best to put your appetite on hold with regards to this fine
specimen, and take it to the highest bidder.
Although tough to chew, this meat is delicious and filling.
Dreamshard
Taken from the remains of a shattered Dreamstone, these dark shards still
contain some of the power of the whole. Very Rare.
Only the enigmatic Ruloi would be capable of drawing the latent power
directly from these shards. Dreamshards, however, are still very useful
when combined with other substances.
The power contained within these shards is unknown.
Flintskin
Right click to use. A small assorted cluster of hard nuggets of stone.
Rare.
When eaten or forced down the throat, this item temporarily turns the skin
of the user into granite, making him immune to edged and piercing
attacks for the duration of its effects.
After eating this lumpy mass, the skin of the subject becomes cold and dry
to the touch for a short while.
Force Pod
Right click to use. A simple combination of deadly ingredients. Very Rare.
Ingesting this mixture will awaken the Ancient magic within the user, and
allows the casting of one Ancient magic spell with no cost.
A surge of power occurs in the body after eating one of these bitter
mixtures.
Geldenberry
Right click to use. A large, plump orange berry. Common.
When eaten, the juice of this berry will heals 10 points of damage and
satisfy your hunger.
These berries are gooey. Right click to use.
Eating these juicy leaves heals a small amount of damage.
Gorgonite Nodules
These clusters can be found growing out of various rock formations.
Uncommon.
Useless by itself, these stones can be combined with other items for great
effect.
These slivery nuggets do not appear to have any unusual properties.
Gummy Pod
Right click to use. This sticky mess should be handled with care.
Uncommon.
Temporarily makes the users feet sticky, and therefore unaffected by
slippery terrain (ice) and knock-back (impact) attacks.
When applied to the bottom of ones boots, this sticky substance gives them
better traction.
Heartstone
Click on Familiar to use. A small, heart-shaped rock that is warm to the
touch. Very Rare.
These stones have been bathed in the waters of an ancient spring. When
touched to the corpse of a bound familiar, the creature will instantly be
brought back to life.
The surface of these smooth stones is always damp, and seems to draw its
warmth from the hand that holds it.
Hot bead
This small metal ingot glows in total darkness. If kept close to the skin
it will cause blistering and minor burns. Very Rare.
It would be best to either stockpile these in some safe niche or to blend
them immediately with some other useful ingredients to nullify their
damaging effects.
Of unknown origin, this strange substance has an unknown chaotic power
trapped within. Combining the bead with other items might yield
significant results.
Hound's Heart
Right click to use. This meaty heart was torn from the corpse of a Rift
Hound. Artifact.
When crushed, this heart will create a small, localized portal that will
release a scattering of various items from the ether. It can also be
blended with other items.
Although capable of filling an empty stomach, these rare organs are far
more valuable if used properly or sold.
Ice Shard
A small, sharp icicle. Uncommon.
Possessing strange properties brought back from the Frozen Wastes, these
icicles, when combined with other ingredients, can be a powerful catalyst.
These shards do not appear to have any special properties.
Ironwood Sap
This substance can be found beneath the bark of the broad leafed ironwood
tree. Common.
This sticky brown sap can be used to create various pharmacological
combinations.
Useless in its unblended form, this sap contains beneficial properties
that are revealed when it is blended with appropriate ingredients.
Lamplight Eggs
Right click to use. A cluster of small, green Lamplight larvae. Uncommon.
When eaten, these eggs give the user low-light vision for one minute. They
are also a source of nourishment, if you can stomach eating insect larvae.
These pupae-like eggs can be sold, used for food, or combined with other
items to create other useful items.
Life Leech
Place on floor to use. A twisted bundle of roots and sap. Very Rare.
To be used, this item must be placed on the ground. When an enemy comes in
contact with it, the victim will be sapped of 10% of it's current health,
after which it can be picked up by the attuned user and eaten. The user
will then gain the amount of hit points stolen.
When any living creature comes near this item after it has been properly
set, its roots will grow and begin to glow a pale red.
Lifestones
Right click to use. A translucent crystal filled with red liquid. Very
Rare.
When activated, lifestones transfer the blood stored inside of them to the
user, restoring him to full health. Also, they can be right clicked on a
dead familiar for resurrection.
When broken, the warm liquid inside of this crystal spreads out and
somehow finds its way through the skin, causing a pleasant tingling
effect.
Magnesium Stone
Right click to use. A shiny rock found beneath the earth. Common.
When used, creates a dim, sputtering light for 5 seconds.
Although capable of creating a brief flame when ignited, this stone is far
more useful when combined with other ingredients.
Mana Cluster
Right click to use. A sweet smelling mixture that sparkles when held up in
the light. Uncommon.
Once empowered with this item, the next non-Ancient spell you cast will
have no cost.
These candy-like morsels create a strong surge of mana when eaten.
Mandrake Root
Right click to use. This twisted root is said to grow at the base of
hangman's trees. Rare.
Mandrake Root can be combined with various other ingredients to create
many useful pharmacopoeia items.
When eaten, Mandrake will put the user into a deep restorative sleep for a
short period of time.
Mana Foil
Right click to use. A colorful cluster of stones wrapped in a shiny leaf.
Uncommon.
When eaten, this mixture restores 50 mana.
Reserves of magical energy appear to be strengthened when consuming this
mixture.
Mana Leech
Right click to use. A small translucent slug-like creature that is
indigenous to the Ruloi world. Rare.
When eaten, the mana leech releases it's stolen power. As a result, the
user will have 10 mana restored, but will also find himself affected by a
strange degenerative poison.
Closer inspection reveals that this slimy organism feeds on mana, and as a
result has developed an unpleasant defense mechanism.
Mana Mask
Right click to use. A strange item that appears to randomly change color
and scent. Very rare.
When eaten, this item will begin to drain the user of mana at the rate of
1 point per second. While there is still mana to be drained, the user will
be seen as a `friendly` creatures who see or sense him. In the wild, this
effect will make the user appear to animals as one of their own. Any
offensive action by the user negates the effect of the Mana Mask.
After ingesting this shapeshifting oddity, a pollen-like dust is produced
from the skin. Moments later, the dust spreads out into the surrounding
area, filling the air with small, invisible particles.
Manastone
Right click to use. A light, porous stone filled with an unknown crystal.
Rare.
Try to reserve these potent items for moments when your mana is almost
totally depleted. The weaker you are, the more the Manastone will give
you.
When activated, manastones transfer the energy stored inside of them to
the user, restoring him to full mana.
Mana Pod
Right click to use. A small black shard wrapped in a large, silver leaf.
Very rare.
If timed properly, use of a Mana Pod can be excellent for launching an
overwhelming battery of spell attacks at an unsuspecting opponent.
This item causes mana to regenerate at a very rapid rate for a limited
time.
Mimic Stone
Right click on an item to use. This unusual object constantly morphs and
changes into various forms.
This item, when touched to any other item, transforms into an exact
duplicate of the original item, retaining it's charges, powers, and all
other attributes. Some items, due to their unusual nature, cannot be
duplicated in this manner.
When placed near another item, this stone begins to take on the shape of
the nearby object.
Mind Cluster
Right click to use. A small cluster of stones dusted with colorful powder.
Common.
When eaten, the hallucinogenic properties of this mixture reveal the
entire area for miles around to the user. Look at your map quickly - the
effects are short lived.
While under the effects of this stone, the user has a strong sense of his
place in the Lands, and where locations are relative to his own position.
Mugwort
A heavy brown/grey moss-like growth. Uncommon.
This moss has no apparent special properties of its own. It can be mixed
with other ingredients to form useful combinations.
Found growing in the cracks around the portals and rifts scattered across
the woods, this moss is cool to the touch, and soothes dry skin.
Mushroom Rot
A grey material with dark red striations. Common.
Can be mixed with other substances to create potent items.
Although not poisonous, this strange substance has no apparent special
properties.
Oculus Pod
Right click to use. A small, foul smelling sphere of pulverized fish flesh
and other ingredients. Very Rare.
When turned to stone, monsters are succeptible to attacks and are totally
unable to defend themselves.
When used, creates a small eye that floats and travels through the world
ahead. Any creatures that fall under the gaze of this eye are turned to
stone.
Phial of Transfer
Right click to use. When held in the hand, this mixture seems to tug at
the skin. Rare.
When used, drains 50% of the users current hit points and converts it into
half the amount of mana.
Ingesting this mixture causes an immediate weakening of the body.
Poison Paint
Right click on a weapon to apply. Uncommon.
When used with a physical weapon, this poultice adds a lesser poison
strike to your next melee or missile attack. These poison effects can be
cued up on any given weapon.
Be careful when handling this item. Make sure not to eat it.
Pork Chops
Right click to use. Meat taken from a Wild Boar. Common.
When eaten, this tasty meat fills the stomach and alleviates hunger.
Yummy!
Pyra Pod
Right click to use. A goo-covered brown root. Rare.
Ingesting these poultices converts any electrical spells possessed by the
user into fire spells for a brief period of time. Pyra Pods are
created by soaking a mandrake root in the resin leeched from a tar
crystal.
When used correctly, this item transforms electrical energy into fire for
a short time.
Rainbow Sulfite
A small growth of colorful crystals. Rare.
Although possessing no special properties of their own, these crystals are
a potent catalyst for pharmacopoeia combinations.
These vibrant mineral deposits slowly leech mana out of the surrounding
terrain.
Rat meat
Right click to use. Tough, stringy grey meat. Common.
Rat meat will assuage hunger, and although it tastes horrible, it is not
poisonous.
Although not very palatable, this meat can sustain you in a tight pinch.
Sandcrust
Caked up crust that develops around magma pools. Common.
Useful as a stabilizing agent when combined with other ingredients. It's
very much like alchemical flour.
This grainy material has no apparent special properties.
Shimmerfoil
Place on the floor to use. A faintly glowing mixture. Rare.
To use, place this item on the ground. When a creature passes near it, the
Shimmerfoil explodes and creates a greater light source at that location.
There appears to be a bright glow trapped within this wrapping.
Silverleaf
Right click to use. Silverleaf bushes are usually found growing in places
of spirit or the dead. Very Rare.
When eaten, these leaves restore up to 5 mana.
The surface of these silver-blue leaves is unusually cool to the touch.
When ingested, a small ripple in the mana stream of the user can be felt.
Soulmeat
Right click to use. A curious combination of minor curatives. Very rare.
Soulmeat cures all forms of poison and heals all damage.
When eaten, this herbal remedy appears to cure the user of any affliction,
and fills his belly as well.
Spider silk
A bundle of spider webs. Common.
Heals 5 points of damage when applied to wounds.
This sticky substance is effective when used to bind wounds.
Stone of the Gorgon
Throw at target to use. Take care when handling this gritty mixture. Rare.
When successfully striking a susceptible opponent, this stone temporarily
petrifies your target on contact.
When held, this stone causes ones finger joints to stiffen temporarily.
Summoning Stone
Right click to use. A large fleshy heart stuffed with various
pharmacological ingredients. Artifact.
Known for their chaotic nature, the summoned hound may not always choose
the most desirable of targets. Beware.
Useable only in locations with a portal nearby, this item tears through
time and space and allows a Rift Hound to escape into the Lands.
Swampblack Root
Right click to use. A thin emaciated root swollen with grey fibers.
Common.
Although not very tasty, this root can be eaten for sustenance.
You actually ate this muck? Good thing for you it's not poisonous.
Tar Crystal
These golden flecked crystals grow up around deep-earth tar pits.
Uncommon.
Tar Crystals can be combined with various other ingredients to create many
useful pharmacopoeia items.
Although inert in this form, these crystals can be blended with other
appropriate ingredients to create useful items.
Tiger meat
Right click to use. Fresh, bloody steaks stripped from a mean kitty.
Uncommon.
A fine meal for a warrior, these steaks are always in demand at the Iron
Ring. If one has access to their Guild shops, they will fetch a decent
price. Otherwise there's always the pawn shop.
This meat is tasty and does a fine job of satisfying hunger.
Vel's Fruit
Right click to use. This large berry-like fruit appears to be swollen with
juice. Common.
When ingested, this fruit will nullify the effects of greater and lesser
poison.
Eating one of these tasty berries seems to improve overall health.
Venom Sac
This swollen sac full of clear fluid sizzles and burns on the inside.
Uncommon.
The venom contained in these sacs can be combined with other appropriate
ingredients to create various poisons.
Historically found on the Southern Continent, the strange creatures known
as Lamplights have begun to nest in the North only recently. Their venom
is quite potent, and remains viable if kept in the sacs it was produced
in.
Vortex Foil
Place on the ground to use. These small silver packets spread open when
placed on a flat surface. Rare.
When a magic using enemy comes in contact with a primed Vortex Foil, the
victim will be sapped of 10% of it's current mana, after which it can be
picked up by the attuned user and eaten. The user will then gain the
amount of mana stolen.
When certain enemies come near this item after it has been properly set,
the pod will fold closed and swell with magical energy.
War Cluster
Right click to use. A sizzling handful of yellow gravel. Eat it. Uncommon.
When ingested, this mixture will increase the users total hit points by
20% for a full minute. If the effects wear off while current totals are in
this buffer range, the user will die. Although it may not seem very useful
early on, this item will gain increased effectiveness as your power grows.
Don't forget about it.
Ingesting this strange poultice increases an adventurers resilience and
stamina for a short period of time.
Waterspark Leaf
Right click to use. A recent phenomenon, these slimy leaves have been
found on stunted plants growing around the portals and rifts scattered
around Gladstone. Rare.
Although fitting for a hunger relieving snack, these rare plants are best
reserved for arcane mixtures or for profit.
Quite pleasing to eat, traceries in these leaves have very complex and
repetitive patterns, perhaps indicating other possible uses for them. |
