Leica IIIa (G) fast shutter speeds up to 1/1000 of a second
This is a pre-war model produced in 1935, Model IIIa (also known at the Model G), it has two shutter speed dials, the top dial is calibrated from 1/20 to 1/1000 second and Z (Bulb), the slow speed dial has calibrations from 1 to 1/20 second.  The eyepieces of the rangefinder and viewfinder are not close together but separated (1.5 inch apart).  The rangefinder focusing lever is on the eyepiece of the rangefinder instead of below the rewind knob.  Top and bottom plates finished in satin chrome.
