Jacks belt isnt a belt it is a lasso but he ties it around his wast because it is easier that way...the entire cowboy thing...christian bale had special training to use it in the movie unfortunatly the scenes were cut. alot of people dis it and i just want every one to know..IT ISNT A BELT....*giggle* (Sent in by Nichelle)
I know, like other people sent these in 'n stuff, but on the blooper where Jack's belt is missing in Santa Fe, it's because of the rope scene that was cut from the movie and the hat thing symbolized him going from New York to Santa Fe, you know, like his dream is coming true. Confusing, I know, but Kenny Ortega or someone said it. (Sent in by Snorty)
And now the bloopers...
There are many lines that remind me of the movie Annie, durring CTB it reminds me of Its a hard knock life, and when the newsies find out about the jack up boots says "it aint fair" sounding like the song "it aint fair"
Did you notice that when jack talks (you can see it the best in the begining of the world will know) he'll point with his index finger and ring finger and pinkie, leaving his thumb and middle finger down. I like it because i have family in new jearsy, and new york (Queens, the Bronx, and Brooklyn) and my cousins especially one in New Jearsy named Kyle does that ALL the time, he says in a heavy New Jearsy Accent, "most people point with 1 finger but pointing with 3, for some reason, makes 'em think you're tough (cuz they know your from New York or New Jearsy, or in my case BOTH!!)"
In The World Will Know, after boots, race, and blink, jump on the gate when they are run/skipping back to center themselves infront of the gate Race bobbs and shakes his head.
Did you noctice that before sieze the day Race is betting and just won, well did you notice he won the money from LES!!! (Man, you gotta love Racetrack!)
Do you notice that before seize the day is the only time race has a cigarret instead of a cigar. (The above observations submitted by Jay.)
Where does Spot's hat go? In the resturant when Denton brings the newspaper, Spot has his hat on and then when KONY starts, his hat is gone. Where is his hat? Then when Brooklyn arrive during the rally gone bad, he has his hat and then when he opens the gate, his hat disappears. Where did it go?? Just an observation. (Sent in by Jenna)
During the song "The World Will Know" when every one is crowded around Jack you can see David hitting Sara upside the head, Sara saying "ouch", then David says sorry while hugging her. (Sent in by kstillwell?)
In the part were Blink is telling Jack "It's Bad enough we got to eat what we don't sell" Look at Crutchy and Mush. At first they look all sad and depressed, then a few seconds later they are laughing about somthing, and then they go back to being sad.I don't know if this is a blooper or what but I thought I would say somthing. (Sent in by Trinity4888)
Well everyone knows that Spot is behind Jack and then walking in with Brooklyn after Once and For All, but if you look really REALLY closely, Spot is wearing the whitish shirt when he's behind Jack and then the blue shirt when he's walking in. (Sent in by Kate)
When Boots, David, and Jack are on the brige and David says "I've never been to Brooklyn, have you?" then Boots says "Really? I spent a month there one night." May I point out that you can't spend a month anywhere in one night considering a month is what? 30, 31 days. (Sent in by Elana.... that's intentional... but oh well)
OK, in "The World Will Know", Spot is seen singing and dancing (very briefly, and only noticeable if you are on the lookout for him, as I always am :-) ). Too bad this is before he is even supposed to know about the strike. I mean, isn't he in Brooklyn right now? (Sent in by Rachel)
When Race asks Snyder for money "Gife to the Newsies strike fund Mr." He has a nice sign in his hands, and a little later in Pulizers office the sign is under the newspapers.... (Sent in by Casey)
When they are singing "and our rights will grow" snoody still has his mouth in the grow position ,even after they stop sining grow. (Sent in by someone who didn't give their name...)
During the dance/song for Seize the Day, Mush's shirt sleeves start out rolled up so you can hardly see the white shirt under his green one, then suddenly during one of the dance moves, Mush's white shirt is completely rolled down, then it gets rolled back up again.
Right before King of New York song happens, when Racetrack "hits" Skittery, Mush is right behind him, and looks like Skittery smacked into him, and then he rubs his nose, poor guy!
During Seize the Day, Racetrack and Mush exit together (soo sweet) then you can see Race's head (in the DVD version) for a second just standing there, then he goes back on stage to get into the middle of the singing circle.
Finally, after Jack gets into Teddy Roosevelt's carriage, and Kloppman (was that Kloppman?) rings the bell and Davy gets his papes, the camera pans on him and his white shirt has a dirty spot on it in the center, a few seconds later, he has a perfectly clean white shirt, then Jack asks how the headline is, and we see Davy again, his shirt is back to having the dirty spot.
In Seize the Day, when Mush does that really cool series of flips across the backround, when he lands, he hits Dutchy (I believe) and then does the guy thing of kinda smacking him on the stomach to appoligize. Very cute lol :)
During the large crowd scene at the end, Mush keeps getting lost and falling down in the middle of the people. (At least I think that's what I see lol :)
During King of New York, Race and Jack sing their little harmony parts and the boys including Mush all look over at the table where the 6 boys are dancing, Mush is there (maybe he moves REALLY fast) lol
Also in King of New York, when Snipshooter's chair is being pushed back up when he says his line in the song, you can see some one's hands propping the chair back up. (These eight sent in by Liz)
When jack is at David house after eating dinner its raining but when he is singing Santa Fe he is kicking up dust. (Sent in by Jenna)
In carrying the banner when blink kid sings something to wake me up a kid behind him lips sings but then bit his lip (Sent in by Jenna)
After the "Seize the Day" song, Jack says, "Does anybody hear that? What are we gonna do?" and everyone yells, "SOAK EM!" and runs off....Crutchy runs with both feet and no limp at all, carrying his crutch. (This and the next few sent in by Lindsey)
During Once And For All....throughout almost the whole thing Jack is wearing this white and blue striped shirt, but then when he's giving the Newsies Banner to the few newsies that are waiting outside, he's suddenly wearing the darkish shirt, bandana, and everything else that he wore before he "became a scab".
. During the first "Rally", when Snyder is chasing Jack....a little before Jack pushes Dave on the swing...you can see a red "Exit" sign in the backround...
During the Seize The Day Chorale...Blink is is a little off when they first start to dance..
During King of New York, when they're singing "tomorrow they may wrap fishes in it, but I was a star for one whole minute", Mush is over on the left singing but then 2 seconds later he's all the way over on the right dancing on the table! He's amazing, huh?
Near the Beginning of the movie when Jack is fight with Morris and Oscar Jack kicks Morris and Oscar off the wagon when they get up Morris's mustache is gone.
When the newsies are in the lodging house painting strike signs, you can see a glowing electric exit sign.
During Pulitzer's meeting with the mayor, the chief of police, and Snyder, when he's looking at the paper, you can see Racetrack's sign for the Rally under the newspaper.
In the end, when Race, Mush, Boots, and Blink are doing their dance, Race does the wrong dance step.
During Santa Fe, Jack does that one little dance and he's doing it in front of Tibby's... then he jumps on the horse, turns a corner, rides past a few stores, and then gets off the horse.... in front of Tibby's.
When the newsies go to the refuge to break Jack out, it is only Dave, Les, Mush, Blink, and Race... when Dave leaves, Boots shows up all of a sudden. (Last one sent in by Lindsey)
This one i haven't actually seen for myself, but if you look closely as spot swings down on the rope, a security camera is in the background. (Contributed by Misprint *nodnod*)
Also, during "we need a good assasination", jack screws up royally, tripping over himself and stumbling lots. (Also from Misprint)
When cruchy( i think) says "u smell fowel" look to his left there a newsies with his fly open and his buckers are showing (Sent in by... oh dear.. you didn't sign your name! But thank you!)
Before Dutchy makes the strike sign at the lodging house ....you see it in several scenes (Sent in by Nikki0385)
After the "Seize the Day" song, Jack says, "Does anybody hear that? What are we gonna do?" and everyone yells, "SOAK EM!" and runs off....Crutchy runs with both feet and no limp at all, carrying his crutch. A mistake? Hmmm... (Thanks Charity!)
During Santa Fe...ya know how Jack's hat suddenly appears on his head? Well...during almost all of Santa Fe, he's wearing this "rope-belt" thing...then, when he jumps on the horse and throughout the whole rest of the song...the belt is suddenly not there. Ironic or what?!
This one is pretty obvious, but when Pulitzer is reading the headline "Trolly Strike Drags on for Third Week", the way he's reading it and the way he's moving the magnifying glass are totally off....i don't know how to describe it but if you watch it then you'll see what I mean.
During the first "Rally", when Snyder is chasing Jack....a little before Jack pushes Dave on the swing...you can see a red "Exit" sign in the backround...you can also somewhat see one a little before that but oh well.
When The Newsies are fighting with the cheapo people, and then Brooklyn arrives and saves the day, Skittery gets punched in the eye...but then you go to King of New York and he doesn't have a black eye or anything..hm...lol
During the Seize The Day Chorale...Blink is is a little off when they first start to dance..but oh well.
During King of New York, when they're singing "tomorrow they may wrap fishes in it, but I was a star for one whole minute", Mush is over on the left singing but then 2 seconds later he's all the way over on the right dancing on the table! He's amazing, huh? lol (Thanks to krys194 for this one and the six above it!)
Near the Beginning of the movie when Jack is fight with Morris and Oscar Jack kicks Morris and Oscar off the wagon when they get up Morris's mustache is gone. (Thanks Yvonne!)
When the newsies are in the lodging house painting strike signs, you can see
a glowing electric exit sign. At least, I think thats it. (Thanks Trouble!)
This blooper begins when Jack, David, and Les are hiding from Snyder. They are shown running off the rooftop of the building, and Jack has no cigarette. Then in the next camera shot, outside of irving hall's backdoor. Jack is seen putting out a lit cigarette. I don't know if you know the mechanics of lighting a cigarette, but it can definately not be done running. Especially the way jack was, running from the warden of the jail! (Thanks Sarah!)
(Thanks Lizzie!)
During Santa Fe when Jack jumps onto the horse his hat is off and then his hat suddenly appears on his head when they change camera angles.
After King of New York when they do the toast, Kid Blink takes a glass and hands it to Mush and no one hands him another glass so Blink and Mush share a glass during the toast.
During The World Will Know if you look in the background there is a Sergeant Major civil war soldier standing by the statue of Horace Greeley. The civil war ended 34 years before the stike. (But it's probably not a mistake because the guy looks really old... even though his uniform looks very new.)
After Once and for All, when they are all standing by the Horace Greeley statue and the groups of people start arriving, it shows Spot standing behind Jack, and then it shows Spot walking with the group of Brooklyn newsies.
