Love Triangles in Newsies

Okay, maybe it's just me and my deranged little mind, but I found lots of these when I was watching Newsies with Psycho. They aren't meant to offend anyone, so please don't get mad and send me e-mails to tell me off... thanks. --Echo

Okay, the first one I spotted was Snitch and Itey.... you think I'm wrong? Then explain to me what they were doing in bed together... can't, can you?

The second one comes in when Jack meets Dave and Les. They both want Jack. Les is practically drooling on him! Dave on the other hand is playing hard to get... he doesn't want to seem too desperate.

Later on when Pulitzer is talking to Seitz and Jonathan... I figured out that Jonathan wants Pulitzer. That's why he's always sucking up.

Obviously the next one will come when Jack meets Dave's family. He meets Sarah and he thinks she's pretty, but he only goes out with her so that Dave will stay away from him. Of course, Sarah is only staying with Jack because she wants to make Medda jealous.

Next is the most famous love triangle out of all of them in the movie. Dave and Denton. It was love at first site. Of course this made Les happy, one less person after Jack.

Then Crutchy is taken to the refuge. Everyone points out the sick look that Snyder has on his face when he's talking to Crutchy. I think he wants Jack... everyone wants Jack! I noticed that he has that look on his face when he says "Do you know where he lives?". That is the part I just want to scream "No, you can't have him! He's mine!".... and notice that when he is talking to Pulitzer, the mayor, the chief of police, and Jonathan and Seitz... he has this sick smile on his face when he tells them Jack's real name. And why do you think he wants him back in the refuge so bad?!

Now they go to the rally... Sarah only went to see Medda and Les went so he could be close to Jack. Denton just went there to break up with Dave for Spot. Then the police break up the rally and that one police officer is um..... doing something he shouldn't to Jack.

Finally we get to the court room scene. At first when Monahan was saying stuff like "Good, that will move things along considerably." and "Move along, move along." I just thought he had a golf game or something. Until Snyder winked at him. That's when I figured it out.... Snyder got Monahan to send Jack to the refuge by promising to meet him after the trial and Monahan was getting a little impatient during the trial. *hint hint* And did anyone else notice that Dave and Denton showed up together? Hmmm... I wonder why...

Then Dave gets mad at Denton at Tibby's... but I never could figure out why. It's not like he was helping Pulitzer! He was trying to help them! Dave was just mad because Denton dumped him for Spot... that's why he never liked Spot, he was jealous all along.

So Jack meets Pulitzer who is trying to talk Jack into working for him.... Pulitzer wants Jack too. :) But Jack isn't about to give in until Pulitzer tells him that he'll throw all of the newsies in jail. So, he becomes a scabber and gets his friends mad at him. Especially Dave, who is already pretty mad because of the thing with Denton. Then Jack helps Sarah because she's to stupid to pick up a board or something and soak the Delancey's herself.
Next they go to Denton who makes up with Dave since Spot doesn't like him like that. But have you ever thought of how they knew where Denton lived? *cough*Dave*cough*
Then they make the paper and hand it out to everyone and win the strike. Jack decides to go to Santa Fe to get the heck away from the Jacob's who all want him until he thinks about it and realizes that Dave is with Denton, he can break up with Sarah, and if Les tries anything he is bigger and can soak the kid. So, Sarah frenches him.... but Les is getting jealous so he jumps in hoping Jack will kiss him too.

According to Psycho there are no more love triangles happening past that point... I disagree... where exactly is Spot going in the carriage with Roosevelt, huh? :)
