The year is 2011 the woman is looking at old photos and she is trying not to cry, her daughter of nine is playing on a computer that is generated by her thoughts. It's the year 2011 and alots has changed. The woman is looking at the old photos by placing them in a special box that makes the photos huge on a hologram screen.she also takes out the locket that is around her neck, she opens it up and there is an inscription, it reads To Lit'l Bit my only true love, I love you ! Jack Kelly 1900. her daughter asks why nobody has seen it before and she explains she kept it well hidden for all those years, cause she feared that someone would think she was crazy. her daughter Jacklyn Frances is her daughter by Jack Kelly, a newsboy in the year 1900 where she had a love affair with when she was sent back in time. Of course she couldn't tell anyone who Jacklyn's father was,so she made up a story about a one night stand and that the father of her baby was a drifter. When she ended up back in 2002 she hid the photos of her and Jack from everyone,(they got the photos done in 1900 by Denton as a gift for his birthday, she is wearing a dress and not her Newsie's outfit) she put them in a place where she knew no one would ever find them, she only took them out to look at when she was alone by herself. She didn't want to take the chance of anybody knowing or she could of lost Jacklyn to the state and be put in a state hospital. She named her daughter Jacklyn Frances, Frances is Jack Kelly's real first name and Jacklyn is for Jack. Her daughter has been asking about her father ever since she could speak clearly, if you looked at her, you could see alot of Jack Kelly in her.(if you saw the photos of her mother and Jack) Jacklyn did have her mother's beautiful thick brown hair, the blue-grey eyes and she was small like her mother, not tall like her father, but she has alot of Jack's looks too. They produced a very beautiful girl and whenever she would look at Jacklyn she was looking at Jack Kelly, the love of her life. Whenever she looks at her daughter she saw Jack Kelly and it breaks her heart that Jack never got to meet his daughter ever. One thing about her daughter is she also has the wit and humor of Jack Kelly and is a copy of her dad.She finally has enough courage to tell her daughter about her father, sitting the nine year old down, she shows her the photos and starts the story that will change her life forever. Fashes back to 2002: Morgan is a big fan of the movie Newsies and decides to find a Newsie costume for the costume ball she is going for work, she goes to a costume place searching for one, she does come across one, it's the whole set, it includes the shoes, the shirt, the pants with suspenders, the socks, the jacket and of course the cap, the whole thing costs her $55.00, she pays the guy and takes the costume home,it's about midnight and it's holloween night, that night there is a thunderstorm, the costume ball is (actually it's a holloween costume ball)that night , she is exceited, she even got her hair cut and donated the hair to the Locks of love, her hair is now to her shoulders and she got a cool curly perm, she tucks the hair into the cap, after she is all dressed she looks in the mirror, putting her glasses on and examining herself, she pretends to be a Newsie by shouting a headline. Thunder continues and there is a loud crash and the power goes off, looking now for a flashlight she stumbles and falls, there is a flash of light, when she opens her eyes she is in shock, she isn't in her apartment anymore, but on a street, it doesn't look familar to her at all, then it hits her, it's exactly what it looks like in the movie Newsies. she gets up and brushes herself off, she looks around, she doesn't watch what she is doing and she bumps into someone, she is about to say "Sorry" when she is looking right at Racetrack, who speaks first "Hey, are yous ok, the name's Racetrack."and he sticks his hand out and she shakes it and tells him "Hi Im Lit'l Bit, it's nice to me you" and they shake, he notices she must not be from around there, so he asks her "Yous not from around here are yous" Lit'l Bit smiles and tells him "No I'm from Chicago" Racetrack tells her "neva heard of it" Lit'l Bit asks him about a place to stay and he tells her that there is a place to stay called the Newsboys Lodging House and it's not very far, so he takes Lit'l Bit to the Lodging House, they walk in and Racetrack talks to Mr Kobbleman and they arrange for Lit'l Bit to stay there and become a newsie. Mr.Kobbleman shows Lit'l Bit to a bed in the far corner, it has a nightstand, after Lit'l Bit is shown where her bed is she takes off her glasses and lays them on the nightstand, she lays down and is about to fall asleep when she notices the one guy walking in with crutchy, it's Jack Kelly who looks exactly like Christian Bale when he was in Newsies, she realizes at that time that everyone is the actors that they play in Newsies, she smiles then falls asleep. Morning comes and she is being shaken by Mr Kobbleman, "hey wake up Lit'l Bit, time to sell the papes." Then he goes around doing the same thing to all the others. Lit'l Bit puts on her glasses. Racetrack comes up and hands her money for papes, she tells him she will pay him back as soon as she can and sticks the money in her pocket. He agrees to it and they shake. she goes into one of the bathrooms and takes off the cap, flips her long curly bangs back and then puts the cap back on, taking off her glasses she splashes cool water on her face and dries it off, she then goes to the bathroom, she comes out refreshed. She follows all the other newsies to the circulation office, when they get there she gets 50 papes and sits down to look at the headlines, Jack Kelly sits next to her.
She looks at him and he notices she is looking at him, she introduces herself to him "Im Lit'l Bit and you are?"(even though she knows who he is) Jack smiles and answers "Jack Kelly, yous not from around here are you?" she nods her head no and tells Jack "Im from Chicago, it's nice to meet you Jack" Racetrack comes over now and tells Jack "So yous met Lit'l Bit,they start to walk and Racetrack is telling her what to do, they go to an area and start to sell papes, Jack is kinda suspicious of the new kid.actually he can't stop looking at Lit'l Bit. Now shows Lit'l Bit and Racetrack selling papes, they both have sold all their papes and now are at Tibby's restaurant eating lunch, Jack comes in with David and Les who sits with Racetrack and Lit'l Bit, Racetrack introduces Les and David to Lit'l Bit as they are eating, Lit'l Bit can't help but look at Jack Kelly, who looks just like Christian Bale who played Jack Kelly in Newsies, she tries not to let Jack notice it so whenever Jack looks at her she looks at something else. Les starts to ask Lit'l Bit alot of questions, she begans to lie alittle, hoping nobody notices it. when they are done they leave, goes to Lodging House, Lit'l Bit has discovered the roof, so she goes up there and sits down, she doesn't notice Jack who has followed her, he watches as Lit'l Bit is looking out at the moon, it's a very clear sky and the stars are all out, she whispers, "the air sure is alot cleaner here", she hears a noise and sees Jack, "Jack uh." Jack tells her "so yous found my spot" Lit'l Bit smiles "Im sorry, it's just that sometimes I like to go somewhere to think and I seem to have found the rooftop." Jack comes over and sits next to Lit'l Bit. They begin to talk about things, of course she only tells him alittle bit about herself and how she got the nickname and a few things, it gets alittle late so they go down to bed, she goes to the bathroom and gets ready for bed, she gets to her bed and lays down, putting her glasses on the nightstand, her bed is right across from Jacks and she looks at him, the last thing she sees before she closes her eyes is Jack Kelly, smiling she falls asleep., Morning comes and she is shaken awake by Jack Kelly, "Lit'l Bit wakes up." she tells him "Im up Jack, I'm up"she gets up and goes into the bathroom, making sure nobody notices her using it, when she is done, she comes out.She leaves for the circulation office to buy papes, now that she has money she pays racetrack back. at the circulation office she gets her papes and is scanning the headlines when the delancy brothers notice her they look at her very mean and she gives them a mean look back, Lit'l Bit asks Jack "hey aint they the delancy brothers?" jack smiles and answers "yeah, yous stay aways from them, they are bad news". Lit'l Bit shakes her head and answers Jack "no problem with that" as they are selling papes Lit'l Bit watches Jack Kelly very closely she can't help but look at him, he is the lookalike of christian bale as Jack Kelly and she can't believe she is a newsie, but she doesn't realize that the delancy brothers had spotted her and are now out to harm her, she had strayed alittle too far from Jack, she turns the corner and they are right there, they block her way.morris tells her "my what do wes have here?" he gets really close to her face."whew you need a breath mint or something" he stares at her and says "huh?" she smiles and tells him "you know something for your breath you idiot" Morris looks at her and he grabs arm she knees him hard and he falls down, she takes off and Oscar is after her, he catches up to her and grabs her, he's about to hit her in the face when a hand grabs it and stops it, it's Jack Kelly, he grabs him and yells at him "hey why don't yous pick on someone your own size!" then he punces him in the stomach and then pushes him out of the alley and he takes off, Lit'l Bit just looks at him. he asks" hey yous ok?" she nods her head yes. "well lets get outta here ok?" Lit'Bit tells him thanks and that she will be more careful when she is selling papes, she wishes she could tell him that she is a girl and not a boy, but she decides to wait and see what happens.when they are done selling papes they go to Tibby's and they order, they sit at a booth with Mush and Race everyone is talking, Lit'l Bit just listens and is quiet so Race asks Lit'l Bit what is wrong, Jack speaks up and tells them of her run in with the delancy brothers they all tell her about their run ins with the delancy brothers and she listens closely, when they finish with supper they are all walking to the newsboys lodging house. when they get there they get ready for bed, Lit'l bit waits awhile then goes into the bathroom and prepares for bed, when she comes out she goes to her bed and lays down, she begins to dream, she starts to moan in her sleep and it wakes Jack up,so he comes over to where she is and shakes her, she opens her eyes and looks at Jack he asks her if she's ok and she tells him she is, she tells him to go back to sleep she will be fine, as soon as he goes back to bed,putting her glasses back on she sneaks out and goes up on the roof. she pulls off her cap and lets her hair loose, it's curly and loose she uses her fingers to fix it, she doesn't notice Jack, he sit's next to her she is startled, Jack just looks at her she tries to speak nothing comes out. Jack asks" you're a girl?" she answers "no Jack Im a woman, not a girl, all of you just assumed I was a guy" Jack touches her hair and then asks her "So what is your real name?" she answers "Morgan" Jack smiles "Morgan huh, not bad" she smiles and tells Jack "Jack nobody can know Im really a woman, because I need this job" Jack sticks out his hand and she takes it his hand and shakes it" she brings her knees up to her chin and tells Jack "Jack please call me Lit'l Bit when we are with the others, if you want you can call me Morgan when we are only together ok?" Jack nods his head and tells Lit'l Bit "ok" they talk for alittle bit more then as they walk down Lit'l Bit puts her cap back on and walks to her bed she takes her glasses off again and goes to sleep. The next day Jack and Lit'l Bit go to David and Les's apartment to pick up David, Sarah answers the door, she just looks at Lit'l Bit, Lit'l Bit tries to smile,she lets them in while they wait for David, Lit'l Bit notices the tenseness in the room and tries not to notice it, when David comes out they leave. Later that day while they are selling papes Lit'l Bit asks David about the tenseness that Jack and Sarah have and he tells her that they broke up about a half year ago and she dumped him for man who owns a bookstore, Lit'l Bit listens as David tells her that Jack was heartbroken and that Sarah never cared about him much, she nods her head that he must be hurting as they come to a stop David asks Lit'l Bit not to let Jack know that she was told about it at all so she promises not let him know that she knows about it. Later that day after their supper at Tibby's Jack is quiet so Lit'l Bit asks him and he answers "Naw I just gots stuff on me mind Im ok" Lit'l Bit doesn't press him about it anymore" later at the lodging house Lit'l Bit is sleeping when she is awaken by Jack she puts her glasses on and she follows him up to the roof, he sits down and has his head in his hands,she walks slowly up to him and puts her hand on his shoulder. "Jack, are you ok?" "Im ok" he wipes the tears from his eyes" she keeps her hand on his shoulder" she asks him" if you need to talk Jack Im here to listen"Jack is quiet, she takes her hand off his shoulder and sits back, he looks at her, he takes her cap off, her hair falls freely into her face, he pushes it out of her face, his hand is now on her cheek so she tells him "Jack I know Im not pretty like Sarah but.." her words are cut off when he leans over and kisses her gently on the lips,her glasses don't interfer with the kiss that lasts about 5 seconds and they part that's when Jack tells her "You don't havta be pretty Lit'l Bit, it's what's in here" he puts his hand on his heart, she takes her hand and places it on his hand that's on his heart and then she speaks up "Jack Im here for you if you ever need me" Jack takes her hand and squeezes it gently she speaks up and tells him "Jack do you believe in love at first sight? he answers her "yes, I feel like I have known yous for a very along time, I don't knows how, but I do" she smiles and they hug for about a minute then they kiss again this time alittle more passionate then they stop. "Jack we should get some sleep" Yeah yous right wes gotta get up early to sell papes" so she puts her cap back on and tucks her hair back in and they head down, when they get down they both go to sleep. Morning comes and they are out selling papes Morris is out to get her for kneeing him bad. he waits for his turn and grabs her, he puts his hand on her mouth and takes her to the alley, they struggle and her cap comes off, he looks and notices she's a girl "So yous a girl, even betta" he grabs her again and this time he slams her back into the wall and she slids down to the ground in a sitting position, he picks her up and thats when she takes her foot and slams it into his left knee, she manages to get free and she tries to run, but he grabs her again, she screams "Jack!" Jack hears her and sets off running, when he gets there Morris has her up against the wall again this time he is choking her with one hand and trying to get her shirt off with the other hand, Jack grabs morris and she drops to the ground in a sitting position again, Jack starts to hit Morris and Jack starts to beat the crap out of him, Lit'l Bit is sitting there unconcious, Jack picks up her cap and then picks her up gently and carries her to the lodging house, there is nobody there except Mr Kloppman, Jack explains everything, Jack is reasured that she will not be kicked out, he gently puts her in her own bed, taking a damp cloth he gently wipes her forhead, she finally opens her eyes, she notices jack hovering over her and looks at him.
"hows you feeling?" she blinks and answers "ok I guess, what happened?" Jack takes her hand and tells her what happened she smiles and tells him "thanks" he just smiles and then bending down he whispers in her ear "dont's worrys everything will be ok" he puts the cloth back on her forehead.
she asks him about her cap and he shows it to her, she takes it and holds it. Lit'l Bit why don't yous get some sleep" she is about to say something when he lifts her head up gently and puts the cap back on her head, she tucks the hair back in and she lays back down, she closes her eyes and goes to sleep, he gets up and walks to his bunk, before he closes his eyes he watches her sleep for awhile when he is satisfied, he closes his eyes, he is awaken by Racetrack "hey Jackie boy is Lit'l Bit oks?" Jack tells him what happened and he tells Racetrack "those delancy bruddas are gonna pay for this" Jack tells Racetrack that everyone should keep an eye on Lit'l Bit when she is out selling papes and Race agrees, Jack watches as Race goes to his bunk and falls asleep, that night Jack has a dream, it's very weird, he wakes up and finds Lit'l Bit isn't there, he knows where she is, she's on the rooftop, so he goes up there, she is wrapped in a blanket, her cap is off and she is looking at the stars, Jack taps her on the shoulder "Morgan yous should be sleeping right now" Jack I can't sleep my heart hurts" Jack answers "do you needs to see a docta?" Lit'l Bit laughs "no Jack it's not that kind of hurting" she takes his hand and unwraps the blanket and places his hand where her heart is. Jack squeezes her hand she explains more and he leans over and they kiss, the kiss turns very passionate, they don't notice Mush watching them, he clears his throat and they see him, they part, Mush comes over and Jack starts to explain to him about Lit'l Bit and why she is pretending to be a guy, Mush listens and Lit'l Bit tells Jack that they all have to know, because Morris knows now that she's a girl and not a boy, so they all agree to go down and wake them up and explain it to them. Later that night they are agree to keep it between them and that she will continure to sell papes and live at the Lodging house as Lit'l Bit, Race asks her "well then what's yous real name?" Lit'l Bit answers "Morgan, but please call me by my newsie name Lit'l Bit" they agree, then they turn into and go to sleep. Next morning Lit'l Bit is waken up by Jack "hey Lit'l Bit wakes up" she answers "Im up already" they head out to sell papes, Jack, David, Les and Lit'l Bit sell their papes, Jack is watching Lit'l Bit differently now, he's being very protective of her, when they are done selling papes they go to Tibby's. Jack and Lit'l Bit sit on one side and David and Les are sitting on the other side, they are having a great time. Lit'l Bit makes up an excuse to leave early and Jack leaves with her, Jack tells Lit'l Bit that he is meeting up with Brian Denton and wants to introduce her to him, she smiles,so they head for his place when they get there they knock and Brian Denton answers, she just looks at him and smiles, Jack introduces her to him "Denton this is Lit'l Bit, Lit'l Bit this is Brian Denton" they shake hands. Jack then tells Lit'l Bit to take off her cap and when she does her hair comes spilling out, she fixes it alittle and he is shocked, so Jack explains it to him about her pretending to be a guy to sell papes and Denton agrees that it's better if she pretends to be a guy, then a girl. After a short visit, Lit'l Bit puts her cap back on tucking her hair back in and they leave, when they get back to the lodging house it's dark and the guys are playing poker, they notice them arriving, so Race asks Jack "hey Jack, you wanna play some poka?
Jack nods his head no "naw Im gonna go up to da roof wit Lit'l Bit if yas don't minds" they all agree they don't mind. They head up to the roof, the blanket is there, so are candles, so he lights them both, after he lights them he puts them over to the side, leaning over they kiss and the kisses become more passionate, they don't stop there, kissing her neck, they both start to undress, when they undress, the other blanket is covering them up as they lay on the one beneath them, he then whispers to her "Lit'l Bit I think Im in loves wit you" with that he then precedes to finish what they had started, as they make love, her body responds as if they are meant to be, when they are done, they are laying there, she has her head cradled on his chest, the blanket wrapped around them, this is when he confesses something "I've neva been wit a goil like this befores." Lit'l Bit realizes that he was a virgin and answers" Jack there is nothing wrong with that " she then lifts her head she looks him in the eyes, he looks at her and she moves up a bit and leans over and they kiss, he puts his arms around her and turns over with her in her arms and they start to kiss again, they make love again and then fall asleep, morning comes and the sun is shining down on them, it's late, she wakes up and looks, she is still in Jack's arms, he's sleeping, she shakes him and tells him "Jack wake up we gotta sell papes." he wakes up and looks at her, he realizes where he is and smiles "Lit'l Bit lets not today, we gots enough money for awhile" she smiles and answers "well Jack I guess we can take a day off" he leans over and they kiss. Lit'l Bit tells him "But we should go down and clean up" Jack agrees so they get dressed and go downstairs, the other newsies are gone, so they sneak to the showers, after they are done they head off to Tibby's to meet up with the others, when they walk in they guys start to snicker and shove each other, Lit'l Bit and Jack take a booth to themselves and they eat. Lit'l Bit is debating if she should tell him the truth about where she came from and that she isn't from this time, she tells herself she needs to think it through before she does anything,she doesn't want to risk her relationship with Jack.she is fighting the urge to let Jack know about it, she puts it out of her mind for the time being and just enjoys being a newsie with Jack and the others.
after they are done eating they leave last. it's dark out and Jack is walking with Lit'l Bit when they finally get to the lodging house it's quiet, the others are asleep,they check in with Koppleman, he just nods and tells them to get some sleep. they head off in different directions, she heads to the bathroom and Jack heads to his bunk. Later that night Lit'l Bit has a dream, she suddenly wakes up and looks around she whispers "this is gonna be hard to explain" she lays back down and goes back to sleep. Next morning Lit'l Bit and Jack are selling papes
she doesn't know if she should tell Jack that she isn't from this time or place and that she doesn't know why she is in 1900, she decides to wait alittle longer. a couple of weeks go by and Lit'l Bit and Jack's relationship gets serious so as a birthday present for Jack ,Lit'l Bit asks Denton to set up the camera and she pays him about 5 dollars for film,she decides that they should get some photos taken, after selling papes Lit'l Bit goes to the Jacobs apartment and she talks to Mrs Jacobs and explains she doesn't have a dress, Mrs Jacobs tells her that she can have one of Sarah's dresses and she will alternate it for her free, now that Sarah is married to the bookshop owner and has nicer clothes, so changing she tries on the dress and Mrs Jacobs uses pins to alternate it to fit Lit'l Bit when she is done she changes back to her newsie outfit.Mrs Jacobs tells Lit'l Bit it will be done tomarrow afternoon and that she can pick it up anytime, Lit'l Bit asks about a Ribbon for her hair and Mrs Jacobs tells her that she has some other things for her, that she can pick it all up anytime. Lit'l Bit tells her "thank you" and Mrs Jacobs tells her "it's nothing" Jack picks up Lit'l Bit and asks her "What's up Lit'l Bit?" and Lit'l Bit answers "nothing, lets go" they leave.
As they walk home from the Jacobs Lit'l Bit tells Jack that she has a surprise at Denton's for his birthday and that before they go there she needs to pick up some things at the Jacobs and he asks" what?" and Lit'l Bit says "you'll see" satisfied with that answer they arrive at the Lodging House and get ready for bed, they each go to their own beds..
That night Lit'l Bit is dreaming, she starts to toss and turn and she moans loudly, Jack is awaken by it and he gets out of bed and shakes her,she wakes up, rubbing her eyes, tears are in her eyes and she wipes them away. Jack asks her "Lit'l Bit are yous ok?" she nods her head yes and answers "yes, Im ok" Jack is concerned, he isn't satisfied with her answer and presses her alittle more "did yous hava bad dream?" Lit'l Bit nods yes and tells him "it was awful Jack, but I don't remember it" he puts his hand on her face, bending down he kisses her gently, they part.
Lit'l Bit tells him "I love you Jack", he tells her the same thing.
Two days go by and they are selling papes together, their relationship is still strong, they are now officially together.
that day Lit'l Bit tells Jack that they need to stop at the Jacobs, when they get there Mrs Jacobs has a bag full of clothes for Lit'l Bit including woman things. they head to Dentons, Jack is asking Lit'l Bit over and over "what's going on" and all Lit'l Bit tells him is "you'll see" so when they get there Denton is waiting and that's when he is told that they are getting their photos done as a birthday present for him. 4 photos total, Lit'l explains to Jack that she is going to change, she goes into his bathroon with her bag and changes, when she comes out Jack's mouth opens wide and he is surprised. Lit'l Bit is wearing a dress, with a ribbon in her hair, the dress fits her perfectly, when she comes over to Jack she tells him "happy birthday Jack" he just looks at her and he finally says "yous look great Morgon" then Denton explains to them where to sit and he shows them everything,when they are done Morgan changes back into her newsie outfit, Denton explains that the pictures will be developed as soon as possible and hand Lit'l Bit the money back.(he didn't want the money in the first place)
Lit'l Bit picks up the bag and they leave, they walk in silence, that's when Lit'l Bit speaks up"Jack I wanted to get some photos of us together, because I want to remember how much I love you"
Jack stops her and looks at her, he answers "Lit'l Bit yous looked very beautiful today" Lit'l Bit tells him "thanks Jack, but I won't be putting that dress on anytime soon Jack" they laugh, when they get to the lodging house they head to their bunks, Lit'l Bit takes the bag and places it next to her bed, she gets ready for bed and falls asleep, during the night she wakes up, she doesn't see Jack in his bunk,so she heads up to the roof, she spots him and walks over to him. Lit'l Bit sits next to him, he looks at her and tells her "I's love yous Lit'l Bit" he motions to her and she sits inbetween his legs on the ground where he has placed a blanket and she leans back, wrapping his arms around her she tells him she feels so safe in his arms and they sit like that for awhile, then they head to their beds. The next day Lit'l Bit and Jack head to Dentons and pick up the photos after selling papes they are at his place he shows them the pictures, he has put one of the photos in a frame and he hands it to Jack, Jack takes it and looks at it, he touches the glass, Lit'l Bit is the first to speak and tells Jack "that one is for you Jack" he thanks her and she takes the other photos and puts them in her pocket, she's careful not to bend them. they leave and Jack is carrying the framed photo, when they get to the lodging house he takes the picture and sets the framed photo on her nightstand, he tells Lit'l Bit "it's wheres it belongs" she has the photos and she hands one to Jack, he slips it in his vest pocket and tells Lit'l Bit "by me heart" Lit'l Bit doesnt tell Jack that she is going to be carrying the two photos in her pocket, each one is different poses she has picked the two she likes most. they head to sleep. two weeks later as they are selling papes with David and Les, Lit'l Bit and Jack have another run in with the delancy brothers,this time it's worse. that afternoon the delancy brothers have spotted Jack and Lit'l Bit, this time they are gonna be smart about it, Oscar gets behind Lit'l Bit and grabs her as Jack is trying to save Lit'l Bit he is grabbed by Morris, as they fight, Oscar has Lit'l Bit in a tight grip as Lit'l Bit struggles to get loose, but she can't as Jack and Morris fight, Lit'l Bit's air is being cut off by Oscars arm, she keeps struggling, finally Jack gets Morris where he wants him and starts to beat the crap out of him and knocks him Morris down, Oscar then taunts Jack while holding Lit'l Bit tightly, Lit'l Bit finally slams her foot on his toes and he lets go and Jack hits him hard and the delancy brothers take off, Jack warns them that if they ever bother them again they will have to be looked over by a doctor, Jack asks Lit'l Bit if she is ok and she nods yes, but then falls forward fainting and Jack catches her, he gently picks her up and carries her back to the lodging house where he slowly and gently puts her in her bed, she is unconcious and Jack is worried about her,fifteen minuts later she wakes up and looks around she sees Jack and he has his head down, she takes her hand and places it on his shoulder and he looks up, wiping the tears from his eyes he looks at her. Lit'l bit asks "Jack why are you crying? Jack looks at her and answers "Im so glads yous ok Lit'l Bit" Lit'l Bit smiles and tells him "I'm ok Jack, I was just really scared, I think that is why I fainted" he gets up and as she is still laying there, he hugs her tightly and tells her "I was so worried about yous" Lit'l Bit tells him softly "Im ok really, I love you Jack Kelly" they kiss and she tells him that she wants to go back to sleep, but he tells her that he wants to make sure she is ok, so he climbs into her bed and wrapping his arms around her they fall asleep, that morning Mush shakes Jack up gently to tell him that they need to get up, he tells Mush that Lit'l Bit isn't going to sell papes today that she needs to sleep after their run in with the delancy brothers again. Mush tells him "those brudders are gonna pay" Jack agrees and they leave, Lit'l Bit is still sleeping, she sleeps all day, when she wakes up she is alone.she gets up and goes into the bathroom and looks at herself in the mirror and whispers"boy do I look like crap" then she finishes up in the bathroom and goes back into bed, laying there she grabs the framed photo and whispers outloud "what I'm I gonna do?" she holds the photo to her chest and falls back asleep.
she is awaken by lots of noise, it's the newsboys coming back, she places the picture back on the nightstand and watches as Jack comes over, he takes her hand and holds it and asks "hows ya feeling Lit'l Bit?" Lit'l Bit tells him "Ok" he sits on the bed by her and tells her "Ims so glad yous ok" they talk and Jack tells her how his day went and they just talk, Race, Mush and Crutchy come over and tell her that they are glad she is ok too and tell her that the delancy brothers are gonna pay somehow for hurting her.. Lit'l Bit tells them to just forget about it,so they agree to it.
The next day Lit'l Bit, Jack, David and Les are selling papers, she decides to write Jack a letter and seal it, only can he read it if she leaves. she decides to buy some paper, pencil and an envelope for 5 cents,she buys it while Jack is selling on the corner, she sticks the stuff in her pocket and head to Tibby's and eat. Later that night while Jack is sleeping she sneaks up to the roof and writes the letter it reads: My dearest Jack,
If you are reading this then you know I have left.
I don't know how Im going to explain anything, it's very hard to do that, just remember how much I love you.
I want you to know that the little time we spent together was a lifetime worth loving you..
I want you to remember me always and the love I have for you, the friendship I had with the newsboys, I want you to know that I love you with all my heart and will miss you dearly.
Jack you will not be able to find me, even if you search far and long, because I come from someplace you couldn't amagine where and there is no way you will be able to find me even if you search high and low..

Lit'l Bit (Morgan)
after she had written it, she sealed it and wrote: do not open until I am no where to be found.
she places it in the nightstand, that night she starts to feel really sick, she is throwing up in the mornings and suspects she is pregnant, in two days it will be october 31, she fears she is leaving that day just like when she left her time and she has noticed that the weather has been getting colder,she pretends that everything is ok, that night she is laying in her bed,she goes to where Jack is sleeping and shakes him,she whispers softly "Jack I need to talk to you" he wakes up and looks at her and asks her "what is it?" she motions to him to follow him and they go up to the roof, she has taken a blanket up there and they sit, she is in front of him inbetween his legs again, he wraps his arms around her, they are wrapped in the blanket, she is quiet,she leans back and closes her eyes, he asks her "what's wrong Lit'l Bit?" she answers"just hold me Jack", he tells her "why?" and she doesn't answer, she turns around and looks at him ,she buries her face into his chest and starts to cry, she has her arms wrapped around his body the blanket around them, picking her head up,she looks him in the eyes, taking her hand from around him she touches his face, bending down they kiss, her face streaked with tears, he lays her down, with the blanket still wrapped around them they manage to take their clothes off and make love, after they make love, he is holding her tightly and she whispers "I love you Jack" and he whispers back "and I love you Morgan" they fall asleep in each other's arms and when morning comes it's the day before holloween, the newsies don't know that though, cause back then they don't know about holloween. still up on the roof, Jack wakes up and looks at Lit'l Bit, her face still streaked with tears he shakes her awake. Jack tells her "hey Lit'l Bit wakes up" she looks at him and tells him "Jack what time is it?" jack answers "too late to sell papes" Lit'l Bit tells him "Im sorry Jack" Jack tells her not to apologize about it, they go down and use the bathroom, Lit'l Bit gets sick and throws up, she can't believe that she did that, because she hasn't even eaten yet, but then remembers she ate yesterday. Jack decides to stay in the lodging house with Lit'l Bit and they talk, he tries to find out what is bothering her, but he gets no where, she tells him she is hungry, so they end up at Tibby's eating, she is eating alot and she tells him "Im sorry Jack I feel like Im starving. they finish and head out the door, finally Lit' Bit tells him "Jack where I come from we celebrate a holiday called "holloween" ever heard of that holiday?
Jack shakes his head "no" and she goes into the whole holloween thing and he just listens, she tells him that her favorite holiday is valentines day. He just looks at her and she explains it all and he then excuses himself and tells Lit'l Bit that he will meet her back at the lodging house.
He heads into a different directions and she heads to the loudging house, when she gets there it is empty except for Kobblerman, she goes right to her bed and lays down, she falls asleep dreaming about Jack and the time they spent, she is shaken by Jack, when she is waken up, she looks at him and he pulls out from his pocket a gold locket, he opens the locket and he reads it to her,she starts to cry and she hugs him tightly then she pulls back and tells him "Jack I didn't get you anything? Jack touches her face and answers "of course you did, you got those pictures of us done remember? and then she tells him "oh right" he puts it on her and she looks at it, she tells him "it's so beautiful, how could you afford it? and he answers "I's been saving me money to get you something" she kisses him gently and then looks at him and tells Jack "I love it Jack, I love you Jack with all my heart. they kiss more passionately and then they hear a cough, it's Mush, he comes over and tells them. "heys takes it somewheres else" they all laugh, that night Lit'l Bit dreams, she suddently wakes up and whispers "Im leaving holloween night at midnight I better go back to where I was when I got here. she falls back to sleep, next morning it's holloween, Jack wakes her up, she tells him "I'm up" then she goes into the bathroom and throws up, she rinses her mouth and comes out, Jack looks at her and asks "yous ok Lit'l Bit?" she nods her head and answers "yes, I think Im coming down with the flu" he just looks at her, they head out and sell their papes, that afternoon they go to Tibby's and Lit'l Bit eats alot,she listens to Jack about some of the stuff in the papers. she is quiet, when they walk back to the lodging house late she heads to the roof, Jack follows her and they are up on the roof together for the last time....it's only 10:00 pm.. the clock strikes Ten, they talk and kiss, then Lit'l Bit tells Jack she is very tired and head back down. later about 11:55pm she sneaks out, she makes sure she has the two photos in her pocket and she heads to the spot where she was transported to new york, she closes her eyes and when the clock strikes midnight she hears the flash, when she opens her eyes she is back in 2002, checking the pockets, she pulls out the photos, then she checks her neck and touches the locket, she goes to the mirror and checks herself over, she runs to the batheroom and throws up. she takes the photos and puts them in a safe place, somewhere where you have to use a key, she hids the key in a safe place, the phone rings and she picks it up, it's her best friend asking where she was, it's been hours and Morgan lies and tells her that everything went dead and she had to search for a flashlight, she hangs up the phone and gets out of her costume, she looks in the mirror, her face is pale and she examines the locket, opening it up she reads what is inscribed, she then realizes she must hide it, so she gets something else on and tucks it into her shirt, it's right by her heart,she talks outloud "Oh I miss you already Jack" she goes to sleep. next morning she wakes up to her alarm clock it's playing Carry'n the Banner and she runs to the bathroom and throws up, she heads to the store and gets a pregnancy test, when she is finished it reads positive she says outloud "Jack you are gonna be a daddy" she starts to cry, she makes up her mind to keep it all a secret, which she does, she makes up a big lie and tells everyone it was a drifter and that it was just somethng that happened. when she is finished telling her daughter the truth her daughter looks at her and asks "mommy do you miss daddy?" and Morgan answers her daughter "yes honey I do miss your daddy, but only because he can't see what a wonderful daughter we made, but he will always be in my heart. Jacklyn then hugs her mom and tells her "mommy I love you, I love daddy too, even though I will never meet him, will you tell me the story again someday? she nods her head and tells her daughter while hugging her "yes, now come on it's time to get to your studies, we gotta make your daddy proud''. As she watches her daughter go into the other rooms, Morgan grabs the locket and holds it tight, she whispers "I will always love you with all my heart Jack''.
then she follows her daughter to the other room.
