Right when Snyder is about to look out the window, Crutchy interscepts. The look on Snyder's face is weird. Looks like he thought he just got caught stealing a cookie or something.
It does sound like Jack said Skittery was in the bathroom all day instead of bad mood.
Right when Snyder starts to blow his whistle, Race's expression is like, "you're all jealous of me because I'm with her." He's looking up at the balcony and pointing to Medda.
How come Blink takes his hat off whenever he does a move (World Will Know, jumps on gate) and says a line (What are you doing Jack?).
Attention attention I have found Spot in KONY (after he sings the line, duh! I'm not that dumb people.) "They may wrap fishes in it, but I was a star for one whole minute." Watch Skittery during this part. He jumps down. Spot jumps the same time as he does. Also in KONY "Holy cow. It's a miracle..." When Denton turns look to the right. I swear it's Spot standing on the table. If you can't see him in both parts rewind till you do.
When Race tells Weasel to spot him 50 papes someone says "Jackie just got laid."
When Crutchy told Jack he needed a new selling spot, in the back Snitch blew his nose then looked into the towel.
Some newsies fans are wondering what the hell Medda is screaming at the rally. This is what I'm hearing. "No no no. Stay with me. For god's sakes. He's just a child."
After Sarah and Jack have the BIG kiss, Jack looks at Snoddy. Snoddy wipes his mouth.
When Jack goes back and sits down after talking to Weasel about the jack-up, Snipeshooter is picking his nose or rubbing it.
Snipeshooter sniffs himself after Race says, "What is that unpleasant aroma."
During CTB, when Crutchy sings "you smell foul!" you can see Mush with his pants undone, and he is wearing bright blue underwear. When he steps forward to sing his line you can't see his underwear anymore.
. Morris is shaking his head when Oscar is telling Jack what they're planning to do to David.
When the Judge fines the newsies, you can here Spot say "He said five bucks....this sucks."
In the line that Jack says right before the girl walks by and the guys take off their hats, about half the newsies adjust their hats.
.In the very beginning of Seize the Day, towards the end of where David Jacobs is singing by himself, you see Crutchy running by without a crutch
In the nun scene when (Kid Blink) sings "Something to wake me up" in Carrying the Banner, another newsie behind him is mouthing the same lines
Probably not a screw up, but it's still silly...When Racetrack slaps Kid Blink face (gently/playfully like, not hard) in the scene where Oscar and Morris Delancey enter in the middle of Carrying the Banner, Kid Blink turns around and in turn slaps Mush face...like a chain reaction.
At the end, when Denton tells Jack that Teddy will give him a ride, you can see Mush pushing Jack over. It looks as if he really wants to be in that shot. But Jack keeps pushing him back over. Its really funny
In the end when Mush tells Davey that Jack is back the next scene has Mush down with Jack, and then it shows Mush push past Dave to get to Jack
Right before Race, Blink, and Boots turn to jump on the fence Boots and Blink turn too soon. They look they are going to run ... but don't.
Boots and Les have hands on the back of their chairs pushing them up. (You can see the hand on Boot's chair but you can only see a thumb on Les'.)
When they sing, "Pulitzer's crying. Weasel, he's dying," you can see Pie Eater, Dutchy, and Swifty in the background standing on chairs pretending to hang themselves
After Kloppman goes, "D...d...dangerous?" you can hear someone say, "Yah, I'm scared now," sarcastically (Last one sent in by Lindsey)
What realy bugs me is when jack is talking with pulitzer and pulizter is yelling at him and telling him to shut up..he pokes jack like 4 times...ugh! i cant stand that it really bugs me! (Sent in by Ciera)
After the court part and denton goes we will meet at tibbys. well when u see denton walkin through the door...spot is walking out the door...and wasnt he told to go to tibbys for a meeting?? (Sent in by Ciera)
In KONY, Race is really stuck on being in the newspaper. He graps the paper away from Jack, and pushes Denton down. He's really proud that he's in the paper. If you watch it. its really funny how he has to hold the pape. (Sent in by Lindsey)
I hate it when people pick on Jack! And Davey too. ( Denton's evil not Davey!) And I have something to prove dat Jack's a lot smarter dan he thinks. When he & Sarah are on da roof he steals da tomato right? And no matta how gross tomatos are If you had to choose between a tomato and something Sarah made herself what would you choose? Jack made da right choice. (Thank you Beat! *applause?*)
* During Seize the day...after the kids break through the rope...jack and Dave
jump up on the statue. The camera dosen't really show it but you can see there
feet and their doin this weird kick dance thing. It's kinda funny.
* oh, and during king of new york, "are we either dead or dreamin.." watch the bartender... he starts ta really get into da song.
* When the Judge fines the newsies, you can here Spot say "He said five bucks....this sucks." It's real funny (i think anyway)
*when skittery says, "since when did you become me muddah" in carryin da bannah, watch blink's face. the poor guy is dyin from skit's bad breath (Thanks to Katie for this observation and all of those above it!)
* First of all, Jack is good-looking and everything and I love his hair, but.... it's gross. He's not the only one either, lots of the newsies have gross hair. It's oily and greasy and..... yuck!
* Why did Jack steal that tomato when he's on the roof with Sarah? Why would anyone want to steal a tomato? I think Brooklyn will agree with me when I say, tomatoes are disgusting!
* I think (wow, really?) that Jack stole the tomatoe because he was really going to throw it at Sarah because he doesn't like her, but they cut that part out of the movie.
* A friend of mine pointed this out to me. When Crutchy walks into Snyder's office, Snyder sticks his napkin up his sleeve. At first it was funny, but now it just really bugs me! Why?!
* Snyder smiles every time he starts talking about Jack. When he asks Crutchy if he knows where Jack lives he has this REALLY sick smile on his face. And when Pulitzer, the mayor, the chief of police, and Snyder are having that meeting, Snyder gets that sick smile again for a few seconds when he tells them Jacks real name.
* I don't think Seitz likes Pulitzer. When Pulitzer says "When I created the World" Seitz gets this really annoyed look on his face. And he tries to tell Pulitzer not to jack up the price, and he says the newsies put out a pretty good paper at the end of the movie. I like the guy!
* "It's the same sun as here." Really, Ya think? Gee, I neva' woulda guessed.... And people wonder why everyone hates Sarah.
* When Jack and Blink are running out of the rally and that police officer jumps off of his horse to get Blink, why doesn't Jack just jump on the horse and take off?
* No one ever read the newsies their rights. You know, "You have the right to remain silent, anything you say or do may be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to a lawyer, if you cannot afford one, one will be provided for you...". That's another problem, they should have had a lawyer!
* Another thing one of my friends pointed out. Why do they arrest all of the newsies? They have a reason to arrest Jack but why all the others? And why didn't they arrest Dave? They had a reason to arrest him, assaulting an officer. He kicked Snyder in the face. I love that part.
* Why did Monahan fine all of the newsies? Spot was the one that objected on the grounds of Brooklyn. Well, I guess the others did laugh, but who cares! It was funny!
* Pulitzer is a really bad lier. When Jack asks if he's bribing him and he says "No." it's so obvious he's lying. And when bribary doesn't work he has to use blackmail, isn't blackmail illegal?
* Everything Pulitzer does is annoying! Especially those motions with his hands. He's pushy to! "Sit.", "Shut up!", never please or thank you or anything!
* When Jack becomes a scabber and Oscar says "Come with us while we fix your pal Davey, fix him so he can't walk." why does Morris tell him to shut up?
* This is another reason I don't like Sarah. When the Delanceys are beating up Davey she just sits there! That drives me sane!!!!!!!!! I'm not saying I could beat them in a fist fight... I couldn't, but there were lots of crates laying around and I would have had at least enough brains to pick one up and bust it over Oscar's head! I really wish someone would slap some sense into that girl!
* Okay, this is just my theory. But I think that Pulitzer lost the war. Because when Jack asks if he won he just kinda avoids answering it.
* Those nuns are really annoying. You're just watching a bunch of good-looking guys dance and sing and you're really enjoying it when these nuns have to cut in and steal the spot light. I think that is really annoying.
* I love the way Spot says birds! I rewind it just to hear him say it over and over again! That is so cool!
* During Once and For All, they are using Pulitzer's wagons that say "The New York World" on the side. How did they get those? I can understand sneeking into the place where Jack was staying and using the press, but there is no way they could take the wagons without someone noticing.
* I wonder, did Christian Bale and Gabriel Damon really spit in their hands when they shook? I don't think they did and neither do any of my friends but why not?! I've done it! It's not gross!
* Right before The World Will Know when Jack is asking whether they want to strike or not and Les yells "Strike!" watch Davey grab him. He looks like he's trying to kill him! (It's not uncommon either, Dave is really rough with that poor kid!)
* Why does Morris duck when the newsies are throwing tomatoes at the window? I mean, think about this.... there is a window inbetween him and the tomatoes and he ducks. What an idiot!
* Okay, another thing about Sarah when the Delancey's are beating up Dave... "Stop, you're hurting him!".... what kind of an idiot would say that? They are TRYING to hurt him! Duh!
* Les should never take up fencing as a hobby, or boxing for that matter. When he swings at Oscar (the part where the Delanceys attack Sarah) he misses him by a mile!
* At the rally when Jack finishes his speech, and him, Spot, and Dave are all holding their hands up in the air... there is someone booing in the background.
* At the end of the movie when Jack is coming back in the carriage with Roosevelt, right before he starts thanking Teddy, in the background Crutchy is saying something that might have been "You lucky bastard." but I only heard the bastard part.
* When Snyder is chasing Jack, Dave, and Les, Dave is saying "He's right behind us, he's right behind us!" all the way up to the top of that building but when Jack jumps off the side they take the time to walk around to the little ramp instead of just jumping... why?
* After Race buys his papes you can hear Blink saying something along the lines of "Jackie just got laid."
* When Snyder chases Jack, Dave, and Les onto that roof there is a lady hanging up laundry... why didn't he just ask her where they went. Did he think they grew wings and flew off the roof or something?
* Jack looks very preoccupied at the beginning of the movie, like he's mad about something.
* You know what's cool? I worked at a firecracker stand over the summer and these two kids bought firecrackers... and one of them called the other Ten pin... you know what else? There is a nearby town with a Conlen street... okay, so it's spelled wrong! It's still cool! (I know it's not an observation! But I just thought I'd tell ya that.)
* When Jack tells Crutchy to take collections... the first people he asks are the newsies... but they are the people he is taking collections for. Does this bother anyone else?
* At the end of the movie when Jack comes back and Dave hands his papers to Crutchy, Crutchy thanks him... why? He's not giving them to him!
* Why doesn't anyone see Dave when he is walking around the carriage they took Jack to Pulitzer's house in? He's in plain site!
* Is it just me or does anyone else imagine someone singing "I believe I can fly" when they are running after Jack after his meeting with Pulitzer and the driver goes flying through the air?
* Why can't Roosevelt pronounce Denton's name right? He says Dentine! He's not a gum! (Or maybe it's Denty? We have argued about this a lot at school and I have watched the movie and I'm still not sure.)
* There are twins! In CTB before the second pelvic thrust, you can see twins! Okay, so it's not all that exciting, I thought it was cool!
* Do my eyes deceive me, or is the Lodging House across the street from Tibby's? It sure looks like it during Santa Fe! Which makes me think of something else, notice how everything is located very close to Tibby's. The boxing match is held in front of Tibby's, the Jacob's apartment is really close to Tibby's, and the Lodging House is right across the street!
* When people say the nun has lint on her wimple... which nun are they talking about? Two of them have lint on their wimple hat things!
* Snoddy is actually kind of good-looking!
* Okay, at the trial Monahan asks if the newsies are represented by council, makes a comment on things going faster when none of them say yes, and fine them when Spot objects on the grounds of Brooklyn... that's not fair! I mean, I would have objected too if I were there! I mean, they don't even know what council is! In the background you can hear someone say, "What's a council?"
* Why do the newsies all run when they are tearing up the papes and the police come? Why did they just leave Crutchy there? I mean, you do the math. Three stinkin' bulls, two Delancey brothers, and about a hundred newsies... who had the advantage here? They could at least help Crutchy before they ran off!
* When Jack is in the Jacob's, it's raining. When they go outside, it's not. It's normal up to that point. Then he's in the alley, that part where he jumps across the screen and smacks the wall like he's mad at it, and it's raining. About one minute later, he's kicking up dust during his so called "dance". I don't get it. (Thanks to Lizzie for that!)
* Have you noticed that Davey always laughs weird? That little Hah-ha scene with Jack, when Les says, "That's when he threw us out", when Denton says "David as in David and Goliath?", when Les is sleep singing, and right before Jack and Boots yell off the bridge for some stupid reason... It's annoying! (Thanks again to Lizzie!)
* Davey looses a lot of clothing! Just watch! He starts out fully dressed and ends up with his hat, undershirt, and pants. (Thanks again Lizzie! Hehe... hmmm.. wonder where all his clothes went. lol Denton's place maybe? rofl)
* Have you noticed Denton's bowties! I mean, where does this guy shop? They are pretty sad! (Lizzie again... good point. lol)
* This one's funny! When Crutchy is asking Jack about needing a new selling spot, Snitch blows his nose then looks at the towel! (Should I even bother this time? Lizzie! lol)
* Right before Spot tells Jack that Davey's smart and has brains, Jack puts on his hat. Everytime he does, I crack up. I don't know why! He just puts it on and I imagine him saying "Aren't I pretty?" It sounds dumb, but it's funny. I dunno, maybe it's just me. (Thank you Lizzie! I'm not starting to sound like a broken record... am I?)
* Snipeshooter sniffs himself when Race is making fun of the Delancey's odor problem. (Yep, you guessed it, LIZZIE!!! Woohoo!)
* In the refuge, there is a boy laying down with another kid putting water on him. I think he's sick. (Lizzie... )
* Am I the only one who does this? Right after Pulitzer says, "If we do it, Hearst and I, then the other papers will do it,"
he makes a little dance type thing with weird hand motions that lasts like three seconds. Some weird music comes on and I always think of the song "If I Were a Rich Man" from Fiddler on the Roof. (Thanks Lizzie... that's funny! I've never done that before but it's cool!)
* That kid with freckles and red hair, like eleven years old, who shouts "Get the lead out of your pants" at the top of his lungs along with a lot of other things. Do you find him unbearably annoying? (Echo: Yeah, I do!) Sometimes I walk over to the TV and whack the screen! He is so annoying! (Lizzie... she has a good point!)
* Have you seen Davey *ehem* try to dance? It cracks me up every time! Look at him during Seize the Day when they sing "Wrongs will be righted, if we're united" he has this enjoyable jumping festival! I mean here are the good dancers, like Mush, who are doing this really cool kick shuffle back type thingy and Davey looks like such a retard! And in another part of STD, he holds onto a rail or something and does another interesting little kick. I can't stop laughing after I see that for like five minutes! I sometimes have to turn the TV off for a while! (Lizzie again.... he really can't dance lol)
* I think Spot likes his "toys". He seems to have a lot. (Lizzie)
* Listen to Davey's lines "Here's your knife" and when he is outside with Jack and his dad tells him to come in and he says "All right." They are funny! I know, I know! I have a lot of stuff on Davey. It's just that he does a lot of stupid stuff! Notice there's nothing on Mush! He's perfect, to me, that is. (Lizzie... hmmm, no kiddin' huh?)
* Sarah looks like something out of Mother Goose at the rally. I swear, Sarah got sick so they got Bo Peep to fill in. (Lizzie... rofl oh, this girl is funny!)
* I actually found Spot in King of New York. Look at Skittery right after they say "but I was a star for one whole minute!" He jumps down. Spot is right behind him. And when they are singing "Holy cow!" he is on the table to the right of Denton. (Liz... Lizzie!)
* Spot is in two places at once (Echo: Maybe he has a twin?). He is behind Sarah (Echo: Poor guy) when all the sweatshop kids are coming and then he's leading the Brooklyn newsies. (Lizzie)
* Who is that scary guy in The World Will Know? The one by Davey, I think, right before some kid puts newspapers up by Jack. And he is in the front when they say, "Mr. Hearst and Pulitzer, have we got news for you!" He just kind of shows up. He has a really weird face! (Lizzie liz-eeeee zzzzieee Lizzzzzieeeeee... sorry... couldn't resist the Ax impression)
* When Jack takes Morris' hat, he goes to the right of the screen instead of the left. It looks like he's running the wrong way! (Lizzie)
* About the little hat shebang. What's so insulting about taking someone's hat? I mean, Oscar and Morris totally freak out! (Lizzie)
* Ok. Pulitzer is just a big joke. (Echo: Yep, a big STUPID joke) He does little dances and retarded hand movements and doesn't like noise. He's always telling people to shut up, and when they do, he keeps telling them to shut up. What's with his little sound effects? He clicks his tongue and stuff. Like when he says "7 days a week" he sounds like a broken train. He is so annoying! (Lizzie)
* Have you noticed that the Brooklyn boys are about two times the size of Spot? Yet he's the leader! I think they find his "toys" intimidating. (Lizzie...)
* At the end of the movie, when everyone is shouting "Strike! Strike!" it started to sound like "Quack! Quack!". Maybe it's because I watched D2 so many times, of course, to see Aaron in it. (Lizzie... this girl really has a thing for Mush :D)
* Weasel can't match. He looks like my three year old brother when he dresses himself. (Lizzie... doesn't he always dress himself? OH! You're brother! Oops.)
* Why do newsies throw tomatoes when they are so poor they have to eat what they don't sell?! I mean, if they were that hungry, why not throw something else that isn't edible and eat the tomatoes? (Lizzie... because tomatoes are disgusting!)
* If Jack is able to get Crutchy out of the refuge, why doesn't he get Tenpin and those other guys out? It seems kind of mean to me. (Lizzie... good point!)
* This is just me, but the funniest part in the movie, aside from Davey's dancing, is when Jack flips shaving cream at Mush. I think it's hilarious watching Mush's reaction! But I guess I just like watching Mush! (Lizzie... the *smiles* #1 Mush fan)
* When Oscar is telling Jack the plan to go and fix Davey, Morris shakes his head and tells him to shut up! This guy is having an identity crisis! I think he has multiple personalities! (Lizzie... yep, he's nuts, wacko, insane, psycho...)
* Snyder has a scary smile. (Lizzie... ohhhhh bad picture, bad picture!)
* I swear, Snyder and Jonathan need to meet. They would get along. They are both really gay! (Lizzie... she's got a point, maybe that would get Snyder to leave poor Jack alone!)
* It seems like the Judge is in a big hurry. (Lizzie... he sure is.. has a meeting with Snyder later on... hehe)
* When Blink expressed his anger about the jack up, there is a guy behind him, a world employee. He's making fun of him. I promise, it's Jim Carrey! (Lizzie... actually it's a guy named Shon.. the one that played Oscar)
* When the judge asks if they are represented by council, I laugh. What a dumb question! They are newsboys! (Lizzie.. yeah, Monahan's just stupid like that)
* Does Sarah wear cumberbuns? (Lizzie... this girl cracks me up!)
* Why does that girl run by whem the newsies take off their hats? I mean, if Mush did that to me, I WOULD NOT run off! What is her problem? (Lizzie... no kiddin'! Hey, you take Mush, I'll take Jack!)
* In the line that Jack says right before the girl walks by and the guys take off their hats, about half the newsies adjust their hats. (Lizzie)
* When Sarah is sitting there screaming at the Delancey's like a retard, why are no people running over to help? If that happened today, about 82 men would be over in a second. Hello? (Lizzie... okay, that is a very good point and all, but I don't worry about it because I like the idea of no one helping Sarah and her getting soaked... if only Jack hadn't walked by!)
* Why does Dutchy have his hands behind his neck during the Seize the Day chorale? (Lizzie)
* When Sarah says "It's the same sun as here!" she sounds like a valley girl... can't you just imagine her as an air head cheerleader? (Lizzie... like, totally!)
* Seitze is really cool if you think about it! You can tell he can't stand Pulitzer! (Lizzie)
* Pulitzer has a wedding ring on! How scary is that? (Lizzie)
* Sarah is really annoying! When she says "So what makes the headlines good?" she leans forward and looks like she's about to throw herself at Jack! I never thought someone could bug me that much! (Lizzie... yeah, Jack deserves better.. not that I have anyone in mind... nope, not me *twiddling thumbs innocently*)
* Why does Snyder smile when he's being taken to jail? He's sitting there grinning like a dork! (Lizzie)
* When my brother watched Newsies, he thought Pulitzer thought he created the world we live on, not the newspaper. You know that part where he says, "When I created the World." my brother turns to me and says, "This guy is wacko! He thinks he created the world!" I had to explain it to him. (Echo: Well, he got it half right.. he IS wacko!) And when Jonathan said "It's like the end of the world" my brother was also confused about that line! Jonathan thinks he did something awful by saying that! It's like he thinks that he jinxed the paper or something! Jonathan is so annoying! He seems nervous when he's telling his proposals, what a dork! I know that my brothers stupid ideas have nothing to do with this, but I thought it was funny! (Lizzie... hey! That confused me the first time I watched the show too!)
* When Jack asks Denton if he really means what he wrote, whats with the hand things? (Lizzie)
* How could Les sleep through the fighting part when three seconds before he was sprinting down the street? (Lizzie)
* At the end, Race does the wrong dance step. (Lizzie)
* Some little kid comes up and shakes Dave's hand after STD. Why? (Thanks Lizzie for all those comments. Those were so cool!)
* When Jack asks "Who wants Brooklyn?" there are all these little kids covering their heads and they look SO CUTE!
* "Les, what is this?" A hotdog, duh! Okay, so maybe you call it knockwurst or pig in a blanket.... whatever! It's still a stupid question!
* Is it just me or does anyone else have this picture of Spot in his future house, which is covered in mirrors, staring at himself flexing his none exsistent muscles and running his fingers through his disgusting greasy hair admiring himself like he's a god, all day long? Please tell me I'm not alone here! Am I the only person on the face of the earth that can't stand Spot?! He's completely stuck on himself! Geez...
* I love Crutchy, really I do, especially at the end when he says that one line to Snyder... but he was acting weird in the movie. I mean think about his lines, "It's this brain of mine, always makin' mistakes, it's got a mind of it's own." and "Hey! That's Jack! He looks just like hisself!" (no kidding, who else is he supposed to look like?) and when you think of how he was acting when he was tearing up the papes... Not to mention, when Jack asks "Did we hear that?!" look at Crutchy, when he says no, he looks like he wasn't really paying attention, like he was being distracted by those voices in his head that just won't shut up! And what about asking for collections for the newsies, from the newsies? Hmmm... has Crutchy had one too many hits from the Delancey's? (Echo: Please, don't be offended. I love Spot and Crutchy, they are awesome! But Spot's got a very scary ego, and Crutchy does act weird...)
* When the Newsies are in Tibby's after they get their picture in the paper, (right when it shows a close up of the paper) you can hear a newsie yelling the headline in the background. "Children's Crusade, Newsies Stop the World! Yeah!" And he sounds so excited. I know they weren't boycotting the sun, but it's still funny that a newsie was selling papes.
* Is it just me, or did they have some really pathetic clown costumes back then? I mean, Toby just wears a stupid mask!
* In Seize the Day, Dave walks all the way around the statue to go help Crutchy up... when he was only a few feet away from him in the first place. Why?
* Okay, maybe I'm crazy or paranoid. But when Jack is sleeping on Sarah's fire escape, I noticed her window was open. Is this as stupid as I think it is? Sure, it's 1899, but it's still New York! Isn't that just a little dangerous?! I wouldn't leave my window open at night in New York!!
* "It's this brain of mine. It's always makin' mistakes. It's got a mind of it's own!" I bet Snyder is stupid enough to believe that too...
* Does anyone else wonder why those kids in the refuge don't plan an escape? I mean, when Snyder goes in there to check on things, that's an opportunity! Twenty or thirty kids and maybe one warden... they could take him! Geez..
* How was Jack planning on getting Crutchy out of the refuge anyway? Was he going to pull out a bottle of clear paint (lol) to get rid of the bars or something? No, clear paint only turns things translucent, like glass, but they'd still be there. And while I'm on this subject, if Dave didn't even know what the rope was for, what was he planning to do to rescue Jack?
Back to Brooklyn and Echo's Newsie Junk
