This game is basically war: the two person card game you most likely played when you were younger. The game that never ends. With one somewhat major twist.
First, get two decks of cards. Remove from both decks all the Aces, Twos, Threes, Fours, Fives, Sixes, and Sevens. Then, play war as you normally would ~ with one change.
The eights are officials named "Aristos". If you play an "Aristo", you will most likely lose it. (The French Mob kills it, the Bounders take it to England, Margot bewitches it, Chauvelin kills it, and Percy takes it to England)
The nines are "French Mob". They will capture the "Aristos", but will be outwitted by the Bounders, bewitched by Margot, controlled by Chauvie, and outwitted by Percy.
The tens are "Bounders". They will capture the French mob and aristos but lose to the rest...
The queens are "Marguerite". She captivates the aristos and French mob, and gets the bounders to reveal who the Pimpernel is. However, she is tricked by Chauvelin and will follow Percy anywhere...
The jacks are "Chauvelin". He beats out everything but Percy.
And, of course, the kings are "Percy". Nothing can beat Percy but another Percy, in which case you have a revolution by laying down three cards face down and the fourth one being the one battled over.
The winner is the person with all the cards.
This game is really only fun when played with another Pimpernel fan, so you can make little sound effects and have them talk to each other. *grin*
Also, the fun of this game depends mainly on how late it is at night and how much sugar you've had. |
