Sung to “Frosty the Snowman”
Percy the Pimpernel was a jolly, happy soul
With a frou-frou coat and high-heeled shoes
And a laugh that was rather droll
Percy the Pimpernel is a fairy-tale, they say
His cravats were white as snow
But the Frenchies now
How he materialized one day.
There must’ve been some magic in those old barrels he found
For when he place it on English ground, aristos began to dance around!
Oh, Percy the Pimpernel was alive as he could be
And the English said he could laugh and joke
Just the same as you and me
Percy the Pimpernel knew that Ropespierre was mad that day
So he said, “Let’s run, get fabrics and fun,
Here before I race away!”
Down to Paris, with knitting needles in his hand
Running here and there, all around the square
Saying “Catch me if you can!”
He led the League down the streets of town right to the Frenchie cop
And he didn’t pause a minute when he heard the ChauChau yell “Stop!”
For Percy the Pimpernel had to hurry on his way
But he waved goodbye saying “Don’t you cry,
I’ll be back again someday!”
