Metallica vocalist James Hetfield was reportedly spotted on Wednesday, August 15th at a Beverly Hills hotel, where he was said to be staying while undergoing treatment for alcoholism at a nearby rehabilitation center. When approached by a Metallica fan who recognized him, the singer allegedly stated that his recovery from alcoholism is a "long hard road" and made it clear that he appreciated all the support and words of encouragement from the Metallica fans around the world. It is presently unclear how long Hetfield’s stay in rehab will go on or when we can expect to see the band resume work on their upcoming studio album.
