The Canyon is Too Vast... 

The Grand Canyon is too vast to comprehend. I could not get a hold of it by looking across its miles or staring into its depths. It is too far. It is too deep.

Only when I started to climb down the South Kaibab Trail toward Cedar Ridge did I begin to get a sense of it.

O'Neill's Butte is on the right with the Kaibab Trail zig-zagging up the base.
