1999 Kennedy Center Honors

William S. Cohen (shown here with his wife) is the 20th Secretary of Defense. Earlier he served three terms as U.S. Senator and three terms as Representative from Maine.

In 1962, he was inducted into the New England Basketball All Star Hall of Fame and in 1987, he was selected by the National Association of Basketball Coaches for the Silver Anniversary All Star Team.
