Lesson plan by Jamie Fein

Day 13

What’s on for today:

Students are going to go into the computer labs and go onto the Anne Frank website.  John Fowles makes many connections in the book to Anne Frank and the Holocaust.  Students are going to examine Anne frank’s life through descriptions and pictures and compare it to The Collector

What to do:

1)      student will go to the computer lab and go to the webpage: http://www.annefrank.com/site/af_life/1_life.htm

2)      students will click on Anne Frank’s scrapbook and go through it page by page

3)      Students will take notes on what they see

4)      Students will then start to compare the similarities between Anne Frank and The Collector

Homework:

Write a journal entry comparing how Anne Frank and The Collector are similar.  What images do John Fowles copy, how are some of the characters similar to Anne Frank? Read pages 210-225
