It is Monday afternoon, a beautiful day and it was all mine.  I can hunt one more time!!!!
Walking to the stand, I noticed new piggie digs.  Just before I got to my sandera, just 15ft in front of me, on the trail, was the back end of large piggie.  The gun was on my back and  unloaded.  The wind was in their favor.  I say they, because I was hearing several more in the brush.  While backing up to get my scent away and to load once I was clear, they grunted and walk off in the brush.  Lesson, never walk to the stand with the gun unloaded.  If I was Mongo, I would have grabbed my knife and tracked them down and slit all their throats.  I'm just me so I corned my sandera as usual and got in the stand.  Saw 3 gobblers on the right walking along the creek.  Waited until 2 lined up and shot them both.  Did not see any deer all evening.  Just before I was getting out of the stand, a red medium sized piggie walked out of the brush just below my stand.  Too close to get a bead on him.  My stand is so tall, it is hard to get a angle when game is close. As he was walking away, I tried to line him up, but once again being so close, I had to stand up to get the right angle to shoot.  The binoculars were in my lap, so when I stood up they hit the side of the stand and piggie went running.  I know there is another lesson to be learned from this.
What a cool way to end another great season.
