Fifth trip, 2 stand sessions, Monday evening and Tuesday morning.  It was windy Monday,  no moon that night, cool with a breeze Tuesday, over all good conditions.
Tuesday morning:

Sightings:  10 Deer, 2 packs of hen

     T
urkey fly down after the feeder goes off at dawn.

About 8:30 3 doe show up in sandera along with pack of hen.  Deer  wander off and then 5 other doe show up in sandera with hen still there.  Deer  feed for 30 minutes or so.  Out of the stand at 9:00.
After filling up the feeder and while driving out on the fence line, a piggy steps out in the road and walks in the brush.  I drive by his crossing and as I pass, I spot him behind me in the brush, about 30yd away.  Grab the 44mag and took  a crack at him.  He was too far behind me to sight down the barrel at that angle while sitting, of course no much of a chance that way.  It was exciting and made up for some of the rather dull stand hunts.
