Hunt No. 2
Left early Thursday morning the11th.  Feeder does not go off, but now I know what the problem is.  After talking to the dealer, I find out he controller has its own batteries!!!!!  This explains everything and I'm an idiot.  Put the batteries in at 7:00am and set it off several times.  Back in the stand, just 20 minutes later, a Doe and yearling show up, then another doe and yearling minutes later.  While these are at the feeder, two small bucks show up between the stand and the feeder for just a minute.  These guys looked nervous.  Out of the stand early.

Corned several roads to hunt later.  Take a nap and slept really late.  Decide to go back to the stand, cause I can't wake up.  On the way to the stand, I hear sticks cracking.  Thought it was a cow, until I heard the grunt.  They were in the brush just far enough where I could not see them.  I waited for a while, hoping they would come out, but instead, they were headed the other way.
Heavy wind usually equals bad hunting, didn't see a thing other than the usual turkey herds.  In bed by 8:00pm

In the stand before sun rise.  Saw nothing, except the turkey flying down from the roost to the feeder.  Out of the stand at 8:00. Nap time, slept till 1:00.

Heavy wind, and I'm out to hunt the corned roads.  Coyote runs across my path, just 20ft from me, with a piggie ham in its mouth.  He drops it and hauls a--.  This must have been from one of my unfound kills.   Another coyote is spotted about where I want to hang out, near the end of my corned road.  Half the corn is still here, very unusual, it has never lasted more than 12 hours.  Lay down in some tall grass to watch the road, gosh this is comfy........  After a couple hours this silly cull shows up and I had to do my duty to eliminate him from his race.  Stayed two more hours and saw no more.

     Headed home, Friday night.
