Headed out early Tuesday morning. Got there early enough to corn my favorite road and enjoy seeing a couple of shooting stars. Hunted my stand, since I have not been there in a while and it paid off. Feeder goes off and no piggies come running?????? As soon as the sun comes up, nice buck shows up in sendera, 250yds back.
After I got him in the cooler, hunted the road and saw NOTHING the entire day. Strange................... Back to the stand and only a small doe and small buck show up in sendera, real close to stand, playing the love game. I don't think mommy is around any more to keep an eye on this. There was also a pack of piggies at the very back that got blasted.....................
Once back to the Jeep, lots and lots of piggies on the corned road, but night time already. Good moon to mess with them though. I could get about 30-40yds from them before they scented me, grunt and leave the road. They would return after I left. The corn is just too hard to resist.
Planned on hunting the next day, but I got up Wednesday morning, the wind was blowing like crazy and rain was on the way. Away I go..................... |
