Third Hunt  05/06 Season
(2 mornings and 2 evening stand hunts)
Went down for two full days of hunting, which is a lot for me.  Practically lived in the stand.  Must have seen 25-30 deer, mainly this pack of silly, full sized bucks with spikes for horns.  These silly bucks were chasing the doe around in creek behind the feeder, in-between the stand and the feeder and all through out the sendera.  Deer every where, don't think I have ever seen this many in two days, but bummed that with all these deer, there was nothing worth shooting.  I think it is time to leave my stand and hunt else where on the lease. There has been quite a bit of shooting here with all the piggies, I think the big bucks will not be here for a while, I think I proved it this outing.

Did see some things I have never seen before:

A small buck got with in 3 ft of the stand, never knew I was there, coooool.

A coyote walked right up to a doe in the sendera, deer barely noticing, it walks by, just a  few feet separate them, and only when it got behind, does the doe turn its head and stares it down, like "OK what are you doing"  then the coyote just walked off.  There was absolutely no fear here at all, interesting.................

Pack of piggies show up at feeder after sundown.  With the Zeiss I can see them with some light still in the sky, but still, really dark,  Shot two of them, this happens all the time.  Tthe interesting part was when it was pitch dark, no moon at all, walking toward the feeder, hear the piggies at the feeder, shine the flashlight on them, most run off, but about four stay.  Could see them through the scope, about 50yds, shot and hit.  No way would this have been possible with my other scope, this is in TOTAL darkness!!!!!!!!  I'm sure the piggies will learn there is new hardware on the lease.  Just an awesome scope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
