10th Hunt 05/06 Season
(One evening and one morning in the stand)
Sightings
7 doe, couple of silly bucks
No Turkey, Piggies, Javos or Cats
Pack of 7 doe hanging out at the feeder and it will be an hour or so before it goes off.......   The drought must be getting to them.
Don't know it this was a controlled burn or not, but it was not on our lease.
Saw a couple of interesting bucks.  One had thick horns, but were broken off a while ago, they had little spikes growing out of the stubs.
Also there was a small yearling buck that had been shot in the neck, just a flesh wound, but it was hilarious to watch him at the feeder.  He was convinced the feeder bit him........  He walked around it, must have been 5-6 times, looking at it at all different angles, then he would stoop down and points his horns at it, like he was defending him self.  I thought I was going to roll out of the stand laughing.
