Name: Jane Gender: Female Age: 22 Rank: Commander of Rider Group: The First Gifted?: Yes, gold magic used mainly for healing. It's not suited for much else but the common summoning of a fire. Skills: Horseback riding (saddle or bareback), precise aim with a long bow and daggers, was born to be a leader Background/Story: Jane is not a noble so no one in her family have ever served as knights. When the Riders were formed her parents become very active in participating and when each of their children reached the proper age they sent them to train as Riders. Personality: Jane is very patient when it comes to listening to others. She stands tall, full of pride, and lives each day to the fullest. Most days she is very energetic. She is very charismatic and can get even shy people to start talking. She sometimes is over harsh when it comes to people caught breaking the law. She would have them dealt with then if it was allowed by the King. Since it isn't she is forced to just let the courts decide what to do with them. Created by Me |

Name: Nicolia of Emberstone Valley Gender: Female Age: 20 Rank: Commander of Rider Group: Webspinners Skills: Sword and longbow. not much of a wrestler, though, and can't tilt for anything. does okay with staff work. Background/Story: Nicolia joined the Rider's because she had always wanted to be able to defend Tortall and because she went to the convent she wasn't able to become a page. So, as soon she got out of the convent she asked the first knight that showed interest in her to teach her to fence and do staff work. Before she went to the convent she already knew archery. Personality: Nicolia can be very sweet. She's a hopeless romantic, but she has a bad temper and doesn't except half down work. She is strong willed and a perfectionist. Name: Bercuese Arrington Gender: Female Age: 16 Rank: Second in Command of Rider Group: The First Skills: horseback riding; sword, long; archery: longbow Background/Story: Her father was a bit less thrilled than her mother to have a girl. So he, being a noble, Duke Arrington, put Bercuese in the Queens riders. He raised her to be a tough girl. When her mother died when she was six, her father did what he could to make her a lady. But being a man, he kind of messed that up. But she loves to fight and to dress up. She always wanted to serve her queen. Her father served as a knight, so he taught her longbow and long sword. Personality: Bercuese is very loyal and just. She is someone you want to have stick up for you. She's very kind. She adores being in the forest, because all the little animals facinate her and the forest's beauty encasses her. She is a big romantic. She's a sucker for that sort of thing. Name: Rosalyn of Emerald Valley Gender: Female Age: 17 Rank: Trainee Skills: Great at horseback riding, fencing, and archery, Can’t wrestle, joust, or staff fight for beans Background: Raised as a scullery maid at the palace she watched the pages and squires have lessons and practice in the courts. She loved what they did and would practice whenever she could get away. Finally when she was 16 she changed her look and became a trainee. Personality: She is very honest and brave. Name: Ivy of Heathercove Gender: Female Age: 19 Rank: Rider in Group: The First Skills: Ivy's green and gold colored Gift allows her to heal and lets her get strength and assistance from plants. She is good with a crossbow, knives, quarterstaff, and slingshot, and is useless with just about everything else. Background/Story: Ivy is the second of Lord Farash of Heathercove's four daughters and is the only one thought to be born of a servant. While Lord Farash has never said anything about Ivy's legitimacy (or lack of), the nobles believe this and will not accept her. Ivy's only friends are her sisters. Emerys, the eldest, is training to be a mage; Etain, the third girl, is at the convent to become a lady; Rhia, the youngest, is a page at the palace. Ivy went to the university to become a healer, but was kicked out for disobediance and causing a general uproar. Unwillling to go home and be lonely and ridiculed, Ivy joined the Riders. Personality: Ivy wants nothing more than to find her niche in the world, where she will be accepted and treated as a person. She is wild, impossible to control, but very loyal to the few people she cares about. Ivy is smart and resourceful, which is especially noticeable during the prank wars she creates. Usually good-natured and easygoing, she gets moody when people mention her home or the nobility. Ivy is unable to stand back when someone is being hurt. Name: Kalandra of Rianon Gender: Female Age: 19 Rank: Commander of rider group: Royal Arrows Skills: Very skilled horse rider, long bow and healing Background/Story: Kalandra's parents abandoned her when she was very young. she was raised by the village healer and did not have many friends. when the healer died she had no where to go and Rianon only brought bad memories so she joined the riders. Personality: She has a hard time trusting people and can be very rough at first. Name: Katy of Whitethorn Gender: Female Age: 16 Rank: Commander of rider group: Queen's Rabbits Skills: She has been riding since about 6 years old, and prefers long bow to any other weapon. She also is good at the glaive. Background/Story: She always wanted to be a knight, but her parents wouldn't let her. 'You can be a rider.' they said. Now that she is 16, and still wants to be a knight, her parents signed her up for the riders. Personality: She is really sweet, and caring, and smiles alot, but when she is in battle, all of this changes. Name: Kanarra Fireblade Gender: Female Age: 18 Rank: Commander of rider group: Nightbreath Skills: Horseback riding, being witty, good at the longbow, she's an okay shot at the crossbow, she can handle any kind of sword, and she's excellent at dagger throwing. Kanarra is pathetic at staff fighting, though she can wield an axe just fine. ^_^ Background/Story: Kanarra is actually from a wealthy fief in Tyra; fief Silvershore. Her former name was Tríona of Silvershore. She is now currently a commoner in exile, and has chosen to disinherit herself to do what she wants to do in life, so that she will not be bound by duties or a home. She belongs nowhere, and has joined the Riders to get a better athletic experience than the rowing of boats at Silvershore. She loves the fighting arts. Kanarra has selected the last name Fireblade because of the gleam of her blade against the sunset, when she draws it and practices a few swings. Personality: A generous, fun-loving young woman, Kanarra believes that one should always look the future and take what life gives you when it comes. However, Kanarra also has a problem with depression, and at least once a month, she laspes into a depression spell. Otherwise, she always seems to have a mischievous smile on her face. Kanarra usually does not show any signs of having a temper, but it is there. She has learned to control it, and usually doesn't have to repeat herself when giving orders.
