The Pentagrams

The pentagram was never looked upon as being evil symbol.
It was used to ward of evil spirits, and was looked upon as being magical.

I’ve tried looking as far back as I can
King David is the farthest back I can find but I expect it goes a lot farther back than that but in those times things were
not written down like now.

The Magen David or The Star of David

King Davids Shield

The Star of David was used on King David’s shield, also known as The Magen David.
The six points of the Star of David symbolize God's rule over the universe
in all six directions: north, south, east, west, up and down.

The Star of David was a sad symbol of the Holocaust, when the Nazis forced Jews to wear an identifying yellow star.
Today, the Magen David is a universally recognized symbol of Jewry.

It appears on the flag of the state of Israel, and the
Israeli equivalent of the Red Cross is known as the Red Magen David.

King Solomon Seal

King Solomon reined over Israel from 961 - 931 BC. The seal is a hexagram composed of two overlapping triangles to create
a six-pointed star. It came to be known as The Star of David after King Solomon’s father King David. The seal was a ring that god had given him and was used to cast out evil spirits and to call the angels.
King Solomon put his seal on many things and ruled over his people with wisdom and knowledge that god had given him.
The seal can still be seen on stones around Jerusalem today.
Most of us know the Bible Story’s of King David and King Solomon from books and films.

Star of Bethlehem

The Star of Bethlehem was used as a symbol. The three wise men that followed the star to Jesus also called The Three Kings Star.

Pythagoras

In ancient Greece, Pythagoras (586 - 506 BCE) established a school, which pursued knowledge in mathematics, music, religion, and other specialties. Driven underground, his followers used the pentagram as a secret sign to identify themselves to each
other.

Egypt

The goats or rams head within it refers to the Goat of Mendes, A symbol of the Egyptian Neter Amon, who was called “
the hidden one, he who abides in all things, the soul of the phenomena”

Sir Gawain

The English warrior Sir Gawain, a nephew of King Arthur, adopted the pentagram as his personal symbol and placed it on his shield. It appeared in gold on a red background. The five points symbolized "the five knightly virtues - generosity, courtesy, chastity, chivalry and piety."

Ancient Pagans

Druid’s, Celts, Wicca’s, Ancient Israelites, and early Christian’s all used the Pentagram as a religious symbol.
But things changed and not for the good.
During the burning times when the Christian church burned alive or hung hundreds of thousands of innocent people, the meaning
of the pentagram changed. It began to symbolize a goat's head or the devil in the form of Baphomet. "The folk-symbol of security - for the first time in history - was equated with evil and was called the Witch's Foot."

Baphomet

Some religious and spiritual groups have used the inverted pentacle.

The Baphomet is widely used by religious Satanists inverted the upright pentacle and adopted it as their own symbol with a Goats head in the center of it the.
It has also been called the Black Goat, Devil's Goat, Goat Head, Goat of Mendes, and Judas Goat.

The Pentagram Today

Today people still frown upon the Pentagram as an evil symbol because it’s still assaulted with Witchcraft and the Devil. But if they were to look into it they would see that its not, people still use the pentagram religion and for protection to ward of evil.

They do not differentiate between Wicca and Satanism
