Given an exchange rate of 1 USD=125 JPY (0.80 USD = 100 JPY), the following is a table of my daily expenses.
Note that there were certain things I didn't add into this table, like souvenir crap that I bought, as well as a $120 bike helmet I had to buy because I forgot mine in the U.S.

The average daily cost comes out to $45, but if you don't take into account the ferry tickets, it actually comes out to about $32 a day.
This table generally includes lodging, food, and necessities, like ferry rides. It doesn't include any entrances to temples and such (because I didn't go into any) or souvenirs. Also take into account that I would sometimes go for the expensive meals so that I could try the local cuisine.
