Final Days

April 26

Although Kyoko and I planned to go see the 7th Annual Tour of Japan bike race in the city, we actually woke up too late, and so missed it.

I met up with my friend Rob for some dinner and drinks over at Arun's. Can't get enough of that place, the food is soooo good. We later went back to his place and stayed up playing IQ, a game on playstation.

April 27

I think I spent most of the day at Kyoko's place.

April 28

Went to Yokohama to meet Miyuki for dinner. We ate an an Ochanomiyaki place, and had cheese and mochi ochanomiyaki, mmmm.

Later Kazu picked us up in his car, and we went driving around, seeing a few bridges and doing a loop past Haneda airport before returning home. Driving on tollways here is expensive!

April 29

Went with Miyuki to the station in the morning. I returned from Yokohama straight to Shimbashi, since I was supposed to meet some VERITAS coworkers for lunch. We had soba at Sojibo, a high-end soba chain in the Tokyo area.

April 30

Kyoko accompanied me to the Meridian Hotel to get a ticket for the limousine bus for Narita airport. We then went to get coffee at Aqua City since I had about an hour to kill. And then sad partings.

The airport was full of World Cup merchandise. The flight home kind of sucked, because there was a poor selection in movies. JAL just isn't what it used to be. (Although the food was better on the return flight)

Back in the U.S.A.
